Old friends (D4, MM)

[Jo'ren Rath]

He'd sent the message when he got back to his room, the sensation of dark energy still buzzing through his veins. It was intoxicating, and he thought about trying it again, but he had other priorities right now.

The Yellow Viper was nice and smoky, a suitable atmosphere for a slightly shady deal. He bought a drink and found a big booth to relax in while he waited for his old friends to turn up. What had they been up to these last few months. He realised he had always known they would meet again.

[Dapper Dog]

The crew of the Infinite Destiny strolls into the cantina and when they spy the wookiee walks over and gives the Sith a big hug as the droid says, “Statement: I remember this meatbag.”

HK stands near the table and adds, “Assessment: high concentration of Mandalorian meatbags.”

Kalen says, “Looks like the kid has moved up in the world. It’s been a long time, looking good.”

There were very few lifeforms who could make Jo'ren look small but Gorby was one of them. He did his best to return the hug in a dignified manner, which was always going to be a losing battle.

"Hey Gorby, I missed you too." He held out a hand to Kalen once the wookie was satisfied that hugging had been achieved. "Kalen, thanks for getting here so fast. Yeah, a lot happened since our last job together. I've been busy with Sith things. You're all looking well though."

He threw a grin at HK. "Even you tin can. No rust that I can see." He offered to buy them all drinks and once they'd ordered he sat down again.

"So, I've got a job for you."

[Dapper Dog]

HK says, “Statement: I do not rust.”

Kalen chuckles and says, “What’s the job, and more importantly what’s the pay?”

[Jo'ren Rath]

Jo'ren grinned at the droid then turned to Kalen.

"Basic smuggling job. I need you to get someone to and from a specific location on Nal Hutta without pissing off the Hutts."

He took a swig of his drink.

"And by someone I mean me. There's an old base I need access to, and it could be full of stuff we can sell. I'm after some information, and any force-related artifacts, anything else can be sold."

He shrugged. "Or failing that I can pay you a flat fee, or I'll owe you one. Up to you."

[Dapper Dog]

“Well… funny you mention it but I could be in the market for a new Imperial transponder, get us one and we can call this job even,” Kalen offers with a smile.

[Jo'ren Rath]

Jo'ren laughed at that. "What a surprise. I feel like we've done this before. Okay, I'll see what I can do."

He raised his drink and wished yet again that Gerry hadn't gotten his soul sucked out.

"How long are you guys in town for and how much notice do you need? I'd like to get this done ASAP."

(OOC: Is that easier to obtain now I'm a legitimate sith rather than an aspirant?)

[Dapper Dog]

"Gorby wants to do some custom work on the Infinite Destiny so a few days at a minimum. She is always ready to fly," he adds.

OOC: You are Sith it is very easy for you now.

[Jo'ren Rath]

He made a show of thinking about that, finishing his drink. "Okay, so how about an hour from now?"

He winked at HK. "Say Gorby, what kind of work? Don't suppose you know a reputable dealer I could get a hyperdrive upgrade from do you?"

[Dapper Dog]

The wookiee nods and says in beautiful growls and roars, "I know a great dealer, Nuju. She runs a good shop in Shadow Town, check her out."

Kalen smirks and says, "An hour... well that is urgent. Guess we save the drinks for later?"

[Jo'ren Rath]

"Thanks Gorby, I'll do that." He gave Kalen a grin. "It's the middle of the morning man! Let's do drinks tonight and talk about my amazing luck."

He shrugged and looked around at the team. "Honestly I could put it off until later today, but there's no time like the present."

[Dapper Dog]

Kalen says, "It is beer-thirty somewhere but fine, we leave when you're ready."

[Jo'ren Rath]

"Haha, I guess so, and this places clocks are messed up. Alright, let's put this show on the road!"

He pulled out a datapad so that he could show them the location he was trying to get to, in the Hutta wilderness.

"Okay, I'll go and rustle up that transponder code and meet you at the Destiny. Sound good?"

[Dapper Dog]

“No rest for the wicked, we will be ready, kid,” Kalen says getting to his feet.

[Jo'ren Rath]

Jo'ren shook his hand again. "See you soon Kalen, we'll all sleep when we're dead...dead tired anyway."

Rising from his seat he followed the crew out and made his preparations for the imminent expedition.
