A Few Drinks (Day 2, Early Evening)

[Dapper Dog]

She laughs lightly and says, “It’s going better than expected, there.”

[Javagus Khan]

That draws another grin from the trader. "You have any other interestin' customs? What about when two of you get serious 'bout the other?"

[Dapper Dog]

“It’s a private thing actually. For all the violence we are famous for, we approach such things in a personal matter. They recite a vow then we drink till the morning as a clan. Marriage is important… if that is what you are asking,” she says to Javagus.

“Freedom to do what you want is important to the Mando’ade.”

“Is that any different from what you have seen?” Shae asks.

[Javagus Khan]

"Nah, ends up about the same, I think. Ain't a whole lotta marriage on Coruscant, least for us non-noble types, but most couples come up with some sortta commitment ceremony."

Javagus grins and takes another sip of ale. "Seems like you Mando'ade got things figured out, though."

[Dapper Dog]

“Figured out, maybe. I think we just do what we need to. Most of the people are mobile, nomads by nature so keeping things simple is usually the best way, what’s Coruscant like, I hear it’s like here just… nicer?” she questions.

[Javagus Khan]

"Pretty much just non-stop city. Weather's a bit nicer, but there's parts where you still need a gas mask to travel outside safely. Few parks here and there, pretty nice, really."

He shrugs. "Mostly, pretty upscale. Lot of the businesses cater to senators or their entourage, so you have to go lookin' for the more rough 'n tumble parts of the city. Isn't much privacy either way, and the apartments all tend to be small an' cost more credits than anyone would want to pay."

[Dapper Dog]

"Is that where you live," she asks curiously. "In a big city apartment on fancy Coruscant."

[Javagus Khan]

"I'm out on the Rim nowadays." He makes a vague gesture toward the door. "Comes with the job. Thinkin' 'bout headin' back that way in a few years, maybe, but at the moment I'm enjoyin' my freedom out here. Gives me plenty of opportunity to drink with lovely Mandalorian women." He winks her way.

[Dapper Dog]

That gets a laugh and she says, “How many lovely Mandalorian women have you met? That’s not a common phrase I hear around here. I didn’t grow up around nice people, so maybe I just have a different idea of lovely.”

[Javagus Khan]

"Well, you're the first Mandalorian woman I've had the pleasure of meetin', so I was just sorta assumin' that you were typical of the species. Sort of a shame, I suppose."

He lowers his voice and leans in a bit closer. "Still, lucky me for findin' you, eh?"

[Dapper Dog]

“Shame… wait… what… you’re funny. I think,” she says pausing and then stops.

“Yeah lucky you, you’re a strange one. In a good way, not in a bad way; it’s not like that could be bad just good, look I think you’re funny. So I am going to stop talking and drink.”

Shae drinks more trying to gather her wits.

[Javagus Khan]

Javagus silently raises his glass, showing his approval of her plan before he takes another drink. She was definitely amusing him.

[Dapper Dog]

After some moments of silence she says trying to concentrate on her words, “You said earlier you had a deal you were working on or something. Are you hoping to work with Corso, is that why you are talking to me?”

[Javagus Khan]

Javagus gives her a doubtful look. "I've got some merchandise I think he might be interested in, but I'm talkin' to you 'cause you came over here, no doubt havin' seen an attractive man havin' a drink by himself, and started up a conversation. If Corso is the sorta man I think he is, gettin' close to one of his people before approachin' him seems like the sorta thing that would hurt my chances, rather than improve 'em."

He swirls the ale in his cup. "Only sort of ulterior motives I have, love, is tryin' to see what a Manadlorian bedroom looks like."

[Dapper Dog]

Shae laughs and finishes her drink and says, "I'm calling it a night." She grabs her jacket and pulls it on and says, "Coming, mister funny man?"

[Javagus Khan]

Javagus stands up, a bit unsteadily, and quickly throws back the rest of his drink. "Right behind ya, love."
