A Stretch of Red Carpet [LE5]

[Moyr Ahaya]

The Red Wraith came to the Viper accompanied. Without ado, she moved toward Corso Fett's suite.

[Col. Hala Moraal]

Hala followed in tow, nodding towards Mandalorians she recognized as she passed them.

[Moyr Ahaya]

"So, I followed the gossip about Kelborns. What did really transpire there?" Moyr asked while they were waiting.

[Corso Fett]

Corso Fett is seated with other Mandalorians including Vora Nodd. He looks up and says, "Well look what the tuk'ata drug in, come to celebrate, aruetii?"

Corso stands and extends a hand to the Imperials.

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"I confronted him, he tried to justify his actions by pointing to Mandalore the Preserver's promise to the Republic, and that the threat Revan worried about was the Empire. He would not be swayed, though several of his number were," she explained quickly before turning her face with a sudden smile to Corso.

She gently extended her right arm and took his warmly.

"It is good to see you," she said with a nod.

[Moyr Ahaya]

Moyr removed her mask and also accepted a handshake.

"If you feel there's enough to celebrate, Corso." She smiled, and nodded to Vora. "Certainly there are more burc'yasa to celebrate with than the last time."

[Corso Fett]

"I feel it is worth drinking to, at least," Corso says honestly.

"Vora filled me in on the aid you gave her. I am happy that Dorak lived as well. He's a bastard, but has ,mjuch to teach the next generation."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"Then let's drink." Moyr agreed. "We understand this, Corso. There's no sense in killing fighters you need to build strength. Colonel Moraal has made some advances with some of the Kelborns with that in mind, though Ky'rad remains staunchly defiant. It would be good to know what is your stance on him. And on the Ordos. We want our actions to be in sync with your plans."

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"For Vera's Ordo, I will try and make overtures to pull her back," Hala added.

[Corso Fett]

"They come around or they don't, I am not going to force any issues yet. We are not press ganging people. They need to come around when they are ready," Corso replies after some thought.

"I can meet with the Kelborns and the Ordos directly."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"All right, so we won't be taking further action with them in mind." Moyr looked at Hala. "Is there another way we can support your efforts then?"

[Corso Fett]

“You’re pretty eager Moy, but I think we need to let this play out for the Mando’ade to decide for ourselves. I want to do this right or not at all. I appreciate the enthusiasm but we can handle it from here if something comes up I will let you know. For now have a drink and relax,” he says finishing his cup.

[Moyr Ahaya]

"Sure, Corso. It'll be your way." She approached the booze table to get herself a double on the rocks. "Is the Moon going to be the base of your operations for now or do you have another location in mind?"

[Col. Hala Moraal]

Hala gently sipped her drink, letting Moyr take the lead on her plans.

[Corso Fett]

"When the time is right we return to Mandalore," he says honestly.

[Moyr Ahaya]

She nodded. "Mandalore, Concordia and Kalevala is your birthright, but what about expansion? Which other systems do you have an eye on?"

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"There is one matter, perhaps, that can still be improved upon easily. Vera Ordo. Would you accept her back into your fold and appoint her something appropriate? Spymaster, founder of Mandalorian Intelligence, etc.? Given her reputation for asymmetric tactics and her drive to not only make a name for herself but bring herself from out of her sister's shadow, this is perhaps a way to grow your own support while pulling one that might other eventually join with Kyr'ad against you, and all of this in a bloodless fashion that only increases your capabilities... what do you think?" Hala said, sipping her drink again before she looked up at Corso from across the rim of her glass.

[Corso Fett]

Corso smiles, “I have me eyes on a few but I can’t get into that yet. We are counting creds that have not been earned. It won’t be Empire territory, I can say that much.”

“Does Vera really want in?” he asks.

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"I'm not sure, but I was going to speak with her this morning before I heard of her disappearance as well as Kyr'ad's in the night. At the very least, I was able to speak with her sister instead and workshopped ways to approach her sister to draw her back into the fold or at the very least ensure she would not oppose you. It seemed though that the longer she remained in the dark, the more likely she would be to link up with Kyr'ad or someone else who was inclined to hinder your ascension. We both agreed though that we should have buy in from you before extending the offer. Not only would that be speaking for you without your consent, but it would also risk provoking her if she agreed and you declined once it was brought to you. Mitigation of risk, no? But if we can decrease this further, it would only help your position," she explained.

[Corso Fett]

Corso shrugs and says, “If she wants to speak with me, she knows where I will be. I have never been shy about my intentions or afraid to show my face. She wants in, she comes to me.”

“Otherwise I don’t care.”

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"I absolutely believe you've never been afraid to show your face, but this is one obstacle you would be able to overcome without bloodshed. Such a demonstration might also bring those who were in the fence but were hesitant back into your fold rather than forcing them towards Kyr'ad. Shall I extend the offer and ask that she meet you face to face?" Hala continued, her voice remaining empathic despite the continued pursuit of the topic.

[Moyr Ahaya]

Moyr chuckled. "And since we're apparently throwing names of Mando'a who we would like to see appreciated, I can throw Vorn into the hat. Working with him has been a pleasure. Craw is a steadfast man too but more a guardsman than a leader."

[Corso Fett]

“I am not asking anyone, she wants to talk to me she does so of her own accord not because I begged her to. We are Mando’ade not politicians. She wants in she comes to me and earns her place,” he says with steel.

[Dapper Dog]

Moyr chuckled. "And since we're apparently throwing names of Mando'a who we would like to see appreciated, I can throw Vorn into the hat. Working with him has been a pleasure. Craw is a steadfast man too but more a guardsman than a leader."

Shae adds, standing behind Corso, “We’ll see. Vorso has said his piece on that we will decide who is what.”

[Moyr Ahaya]

Moyr waved her hand, then smiled gently.

"Enough of this. Let's drink. Tell me Corso, what do you do when you're not busy unifying the Mando'ade?"
