Nar Shaddaa

Remmington decides to play some of the slot machines at the cantina. After winning he decides to go wait at the bar and get a drink.

Aphr had wanted to check what was still standing. She still helped where she could, but seeing the Cantina in a somewhat acceptable state, she entered for a short break and a drink, so she approached the bar and got herself a glass of water. She hadn't noticed Remmy yet.

Remmington notices her and walks over with a warm pleasant smile. A scar decorates his face now over his eye but it seems like the eye is still working. "Good evening there Miss Aphr. I hope you have been well since we last spoke."

Aphr turned back, and looked surprised. "Remmy! What happened?" she motioned to the scar "that looks painful."

Remmington chuckles. "To be honest I don't remember much of it. I got beaten down so fast. It looks like I still have a long way to go before I get to my master's level."

He looks her over. "You look... good." He smiles with that simple compliment.

"Your master did that? What did you do?" Aphr shook her head something I need to remember. She smiled sweetly at the compliment though "why thank you. I suppose I do look better than we would do at the Huttball arena! Not that it's hard, while I love our uniform, it isn't the best fashion" she chuckled.

"I was weak." Remmington comments.

He finishes his drink. "Well enough of that. Now it will be a crime if I did not invite such a beauty out to the dance floor." He offers her his hand. "Will you join me Miss Aphr?"

"Don't see why not" Aphr said with a smile, finishing her water and taking his hand "after all that's faced this place recently, I think a little dancing can only improve things."

Remmington leads her down to the dance floor as they soon get into the groove. "That's the spirit. So if I may ask, what are your plans after the peace talks?"

Aphr was an energetic dancer, and a quick learner, so she got into the groove quickly. "Mm? I'm leaving the planet, sadly. I'm not sure of my first destinations, but Korriban I believe will be one of them."

Remmington holds her hand with one hand and puts his other on her hip. "Oh to Korriban? I'm usually helping out at the Academy there. So we'll probably see each other soon. Did one of the Sith recruit you already?"

"Kind of" Aphr places her hand on Remmys shoulder and her other hand on his side, remembering the dancing style "I know one of the Sith well, well quite a few of them well, and I'm leaving aboard one of the ships. I'll see you at Korriban I guess, but I imagine I'll not have a lot of time to chat as I hear it's quite manic there.

Remmington chuckles a bit as they dance. "That is pretty true. Don't expect them to take it easy on you and i suggest you enjoy real food while you can. They only serve nutrient paste at the Academy."

He gazes into her eyes. "Who do you know by the way?"

"Paste?" She managed not to make a bleh face "I guess I'll enjoy my time while I can. It won't be easy, but I wouldn't have it any other way." She smiled at met his gaze as she added "hm let's see...I know you of course. Jo'ren and Shaisha are good friends of mine, I think quite highly of them."

Remmington smiles. "Well take your time and see what you like." He nods. "Those two a good people to be friends with."

"I suppose you already have offers but if you ever need a place to fit in you are always welcome with me. I am thinking of starting a new House."

"A new House? I don't understand" Aphr said with a small frown "you mean you're not going to be with the Sith, or something else?"

Remmington shakes his head. "No... a House as in a noble lineage. A group of people working for the same family. These include retainers as well. The Sith and Empire in general puts a lot of stock in such things. I believe the Republic does as well from what I could gather from the limited number of nobles I spoke to."

He thinks about that for a moment. "Well maybe not so much. The Republic seems to value freedom of expression and individuality a lot."

"Oh" Aphr nodded "so you're a lord, trying to form your own lineage? How does one go about that?"

"Not quite yet. Something that I will be working on. Gather people to you. Followers, retainers, increase your family. Gather power, holdings, supplies, etc. Stuff like that."

"Not quite...so you're not a Lord?" Aphr looked a little more confused now "so um...why?"

"Not a lord yet. If you mean why I am not a lord yet, I guess my superiors do not feel I am ready yet and I have not actively been pursuing that promotional track yet." Remmington answers.

"If you join the Sith are you going to aim for the top right away miss Aphr?" He asks in return.
