Marionette [D2 LE, expecting]

[Luth Khalan]

Asra headed into the Yellow Viper for the second time in as many days. It was shaping up to end up as something of a haunt for her time in Nar Shaddaa. The high end bars and clubs just didn't fit right... she was a soldier before anything else, after all. Sadly, this evening, her time wouldn't be spent relaxing. There was work to do. When wasn't there?

Still, she grabbed a drink on the way to the meeting spot, an out of the way table, nursing it as she kept an eye out for her guest.

[Nekoinu]

"Well well, what do we have here?" Naveera leaned over the table, cleavage in full, total view, and a big smile on her face. "I've always wanted to meet an Imperial soldier. Mind if I take a seat?"

[Luth Khalan]

"They say girls like a uniform," she says, an amused look crossing her face. "Please, be my guest. Can I get you a drink?"

[Nekoinu]

"For me? How sweet of you to offer." She took the seat and then leaned over with her cheek on her palm. "What do you figure a girl like me likes?"

[Luth Khalan]

"I'd guess Corellian brandy to relax, but a beer if you have to drink while keeping your head about you," she assessed. Or rather, she guessed, a pure shot in the dark. "My accuracy is probably completely off, though."

[Nekoinu]

"Not quite. But how good is your aim otherwise?" she asked with a chuckle.

[Luth Khalan]

"Eh, even a sniper misses a shot in the dark," she replies with a shrug. "Otherwise, pretty good."

[Nekoinu]

"A sniper? Oh my, even more impressive." A blink. "Oh how rude of me. You may call me Naveera."

[Luth Khalan]

"Naveera," she repeats as if testing the word, reaching out a hand to take hers in greeting. "Corporal Asra Nakahti. It's a pleasure."

"So what is your preference, in fact?"

[Nekoinu]

The twi'lek took the hand with a dainty touch, sliding her fingers off with a wink afterwards. "A pleasure to meet you. As for my preference, I prefer a girl with... Oh you didn't mean that, did you? I prefer tequila myself."

[Luth Khalan]

She gets up and comes back with the mentioned drink, settling back in. "Well, if you want to go on, I certainly won't fight it."

[Nekoinu]

Naveera let out another laugh. "Well, let's see. I like a girl with experience, you know? So tell me: any good war stories? Any romantic tales of scoping out for your target and then pulling the trigger?"

[Luth Khalan]

"I would if it wasn't for a combination of opsec and it being mostly very boring and depressing from my perspective," she says with a soft sigh, running a hand over her face. She could see one of her kills behind her eyes and took a long drink from her own cup to shut it down. "What do you do, if I may ask?"

[Nekoinu]

"Oh boo, you can't just tell me a little?" Naveera's smile went away when she picked up on Asra's little bit. "Okay. Well, I work as a secretary at an office in the upper levels. I have to manage all of my boss' affairs, it's really a big mess. And he's a jerk, but that's beside the point."

[Luth Khalan]

"I hear that about bosses. Mine's a massive jerk," she says. "And it sounds like I'll have to deal with him in person soon. Having some distance is a little easier, you know?"

[Nekoinu]

"I'd think you'd be far removed from your commander and just have it passed down the line. Then again, I don't know how snipers work." Naveera then let out a chuckle. "Snipers have spotters, don't they? Are you two close? I wouldn't want to steal you away from her."

[Luth Khalan]

"You'd think that, but it's an unusual situation. Probably interested in what's going down in general here less so than me personally," she says. The last brings a smirk across her face. "Well, she'd probably be offended by us flirting, but not for the reason you'd think. She's like an older sister, so I guess so. Tries to keep me out of trouble, but one person can only do so much." She chuckles.

[Nekoinu]

"Oh please, I bet you're more important than you lead on. Be a shame for such a pretty girl to not be."

The twi'lek nodded along. "Oh, the overprotective sort. Guess I'm lucky you were able to shake her tonight then."

[Luth Khalan]

"Lucky indeed. I would'nt have wanted to miss a conversation with a lady as lovely as yourself," she agrees. "Well, enough to be serving under some of the Sith here directly, so take that as you will. One person joked I may be given command eventually. There's a stress I don't need."

[Nekoinu]

Her mouth gaped open for a moment. "Wow! Which Sith? Sounds dangerous; I wouldn't want to be beholden to one of them. But don't tell I said that. Yikes." The twi'lek then let out a small laugh. "But that's good if you're up for a promotion! Or was that not serious at all?"

[Luth Khalan]

"Silvain Torsin. As far as it goes, he's one of the better ones. He's actually been very nice so far. It is dangerous when you go farther up the line, though, to the aforementioned," she mused. "Not serious. Just someone pointing out it was a possibility if I keep on doing a good job here."

[Nekoinu]

"I heard about him and his father. Poor guy. Well, I suppose if anyone can handle that it'd be a Sith, right?"

The twi'lek smirked. "So if you had a say in it, would you take the commanding position?"

[Luth Khalan]

"Suppose so..." She finishes her drink. "I'm not sure, honestly. There are positive and negatives to it. I don't think it'd be the best use of my current skills, personally, but there are some good points to it, and it's an opportunity to learn, I suppose. I'd probably take it."

[Nekoinu]

"I see. I suppose there's always room for improvement." She took a sip from her drink. "You can't go back from a position like that, though, if you enjoy being a sniper so much."

[Luth Khalan]

"Yeah... but it's questionable how long I'll be able to stick with it, anyway," she said. "Getting nightmares and whatnot these days. It might be better to step back from the field in the future."
