Nar Shaddaa

Becoming a fixture at the Yellow Viper Cantina Kristal found her way to the gambling tables on the upper floor once again as the afternoon was starting to wind down and the staff started to prepare for the evening rush of activity. It was probably among it's less busy hours and the floor was still rather crowded with people. Such were the joys of being on Nar Shaddaa, it was impossible to feel alone.

Although in places like this most just tended to their own business, it was probably that reason for why Kristal chose this location over any other. With drink in hand she stood present at the table, wearing casual Imperial wear her alignment was obvious. Keeping her intentions for the afternoon less than obvious as she once again took part in some rather calming gambling, gambling which would even bring in a nice little profit for herself. Regardless of how this meeting went.

Nunki walks up and sits down next to Kristal, trying her hand at some gambling. Although she was consistently losing her wager, it wasn't her real purpose to be here. She'd waited around other tables so far, but when the seat opened up, Nunki had quickly taken it.

When Nunki arrived Kristal didn't pay her any attention, taking a sip of her drink before the next hand was played out. Three more hands happened this way before Kristal finally said something to Nunki, though her attention didn't seem to waver from the table.

"I knew from the moment I saw you that you wouldn't become Sith," she commented.

"Funny that." she says, smiling. "So did I."

"I was this close though." She shows Kristal her hand before folding it away. Had her seven been an eight, she would have won quite a sizable pot.

"Never were strong enough for it," she commented again as she showed her hand. Taking home a sizable pot and adding quite a few more credit sticks her way on that one.

"Forces me to wonder if your decision to reach out to me, and I assume others, is either extremely brave or just incredibly stupid."

"A little bit of both. What happened wasn't right, and I'm interested in finding the one who did it as much as you are."

"Do you remember Captain Harad?" she asked, seemingly going way off topic.

She looks at Kristal curiously for a moment, before replying "No, I don't believe I do."

"Truly?" she shrugs, surprised. Pausing for a moment to tend to her drink and then continuing. "Once he was the Security Chief for Korriban academy, the very reason your life may have been saved once or twice is a result of that mans efforts."

Kristal paused, allowing that to be processed before she continued, "Captain Harad was caught in that blast and was critically injured. He remains in an Imperial Infirmary recuperating from his wounds that saved the life of another member of my crew. It is paramount that this criminal is brought into Imperial custody so that he may face Imperial justice for his offense."

"Since it was a crime against Imperials, yes the Imperials should be allowed to prosecute him or her. But his actions may lead to further discoveries that could save more lives, and therefore I'd like to make sure he is able to give this information up. As well, I'd like to make sure he or she is safe."

"You wish to ensure the safety of someone who planted a bomb in a Port?" she asked coolly.

"They are a criminal, and as such they deserve their punishment. They endangered many innocent lives. But I wish to ensure that he is processed correctly, and justly. If they are heavily wounded in the capture, then whatever information he or she had will be lost forever, as well as any trace back to whoever helped them."

"You make your prejudice clear, Nunki," she said directly. "However, I would find it far to easy for other members of your Republic to allow this man fairer treatment. Today his attack may have caused him to be a criminal but any other and he would have been a hero. That is by far the greater risk," she finalizes her point.
