“… the Republic continues to deny any wrong doing in the terror acts on two Sith ships in the Mezenti Space Port. The Jedi have pledged to find the culprit in the attacks. It does not speak well of the days to come,” Jerri says with a practiced concerned tone.

“Who are these Valkyries? They had an an excellent first game yesterday and everyone wants to know who these amateur HuttBall players are! We have it on good authority that the time is made up of members from both the Empire and Republic! Is this how peace will be achieved? Only time will tell,” Jerri says with a smile as he shows highlights from the games.

“Hutt Security says that they will crack down on illegal swoop racing and the disruption from last night will not happen on their watch! Remember that illegal swoop racing is not sanctioned by the Hutts,” the anchor says.

“All signs point to a victory for Dango the Hutt tonight, in the big annual game between her and Giradda the Hutt. All eyes will be glued to the holos for the biggest game of the year! Remember, do not kick the ball because Hutts don’t have legs,” Jerri replies with his patented smile.

"Did you hear about the battle with the pirates?"
"Of course! It kind of brought everyone together."
"You're right! Republic, Sith, Mandalorian..."
"Guess everyone hates pirates!"
"And everyone loves Huttball!"

---

"There was an explosion at the spaceport!"
"I heard about that. How could that even happen?"
"I don't know. Some Imperials were hurt by it."
"Those peace talks are starting off real well, huh?"

---

"Did you hear what happened with Celna?"
"Heard she got captured by the Imperials."
"Not even! She got duped into it!"
"Are you serious? What an idiot!"
"Some officer convinced her to come with her."
"Wow. Senator Seir'oto must be losing his mind."

---

"First Alderaanian nobles get killed. Next they're good hunters."
"Yeah. I'm surprised that one guy didn't shoot Melv."
"I'm more surprised that the blonde chick took out a Mando."

---

"One of the Republic senators knelt to Darth Xevious."
"I heard about that! Why would she do that?"
"She's either a traitor or has some sort of plan."
"Ah, well, other people were friendly to the other side."
"Huh. Maybe this will work out after all."

---

"Heard that the Mandalorians had a big party."
"Yeah. I wish I was invited."
"There were apparently Republic and Sith there."
"So much for peace talks, am I right?"

---

"I heard some Republic doctors have been doing good work."
"That's a relief. Not sure if it'll be enough though."
"What do you mean by that? They're good doctors."
"You'll see. Just don't go to bed too early."

"Hello again, fellow fans of good music. This is Darwi and you're listening to the Sixth Sense, straight from the Wonderland Studio. Thanks to Moldo we're back for you like I promised. Before I announce the first song, I'd like to share a tale of two remarkable individuals who have influenced today's selection without knowing it. One is a droid calling himself Eight, a great fan of classical compositions with a belligerent vibe, who came over yesterday and spent the time with me seeking just the right composition to accompany him for his day of honest work. And we found it together! The other incredible gentleman is Zan from Solmilo's who called me after the program and asked if I could provide some radio music for the casino because their band leader cancelled. We ended up singing together various songs from my repertoire, connected remotely but still live! I know my songs, but him, he learned them on the fly and impressed the audience and his singing partner with his talent and drive. The first song of the evening is thus..."

Throughout the moon of Nar Shaddaa, every live broadcast is cut out into a blank screen and/or static. Mere moments afterward, a new transmission was aired. Standing in a blank room was a humanoid figure wearing baggy clothing, goggles, a cowl, anything to conceal his identity. "Welcome to Nar Shaddaa, honored guests of the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire." Like his appearance, his voice was garbled to weaken identification. "The Hutt Cartels are hosting your peace delegation and this is not our concern. No. It is our concern that the Hutts have not shown you who is truly in charge of this system."

A pause. "The people."

Various images were plastered up, ranging from utter decadence to the downtrodden of Shadow Town. "Several hours ago, your delegates feasted upon the fruits of our labor. In return, we are persecuted and enslaved. Now we will claim our just compensation."

The broadcast changed to the perspective of someone in one of many crowded streets of the sprawling metropolis. The camera shook with every movement made but the focus was on one man: Aris N'ventas. In mere moments, his entourage was wiped out by an ambush of flash grenades and blaster fire. However, the same weapons were not used to eliminate the true target. Instead, a horde emerged from the dispersing crowd and rushed him, each armed with shivs. They latched onto him and stabbed him repeatedly, his screams of agony climbing above the panic surrounding him. The cameraman himself sent his shiv into Aris' throat but still they stabbed and stabbed.

Unsurprisingly, the Hutt security forces were eventually able to shut the stream down. However, the damage was already done, the message clear.

Crescent Shadow refused to be left out of the peace talks.

OOC: Scrutiny is modified by -1.0. Related Events are Aftermath and Dead Man's Secrets, both at Early Evening. Good luck!
