Back on the Night Saber, it occurred to Ashla that she doesn't know what the Jedi code is for. Master Maaka must've gone over it, but when it gets to things like morality and discipline, Ashla usually zones out.

0kineb: I suppose if you ascribe to cynicism then yes. I prefer to think that we all vote our interests. Not all interests coincide. It is perhaps the one shortcoming of the Sith Code, that to free oneself is to often cage another. I have no idea who that person is.

You didn't hear of him because he didn't want people to. I'm sure he left bodies throughout the galaxy that people still haven't found. He wanted to slaughter people. So he did. he didn't need a code.

RuvrassV#1Fan: He was. But so is everyone else. How many lives have Sith or Jedi killed during this war? The commanders have probably caused millions of lives to be lost. Are they not monsters? Ruvrass just didn't hide his inclinations behind patriotism or honor or other silly things.

RuvrassV#1Fan: And he was good. He had been killing for years. The Republic has no idea when he started. But they think he killed people from over a decade ago and that's just the bodies they could find. But we all make a mistake once in a while and sometimes, a small one can kill you.

0kineb: You have no real understanding what a Sith is, if you think this monster you worship is better than a Sith. Your ignorance is disturbing.

RuvrassV#1Fan: Well, like I said. I don't understand. That's why I came here. To learn from you. Better to see what you say than just get my news from the Republic propaganda machine. But saying Ruvrass is a monster and the Sith are not isn't much of a help.

0kineb: Most Sith are not worthy of being called Sith, they are little more than thugs. Some actually have value, maybe the distinction is too nuianced for someone unfamiliar with the Sith. I know it took me time to distinguish between the two.

RuvrassV#1Fan: I'm not sure really. I guess they want to be top dog. And they will use every power they can to make that happen. That's why students kill masters. Theyre code gives them license to do that.

0kineb: Well it isn’t a license to kill, but Sith do not abide weakness when a student finds weakness in their master they exploit it. It is not done lightly it is done so that the Sith weed out the weak and reinforce the strong. It is an emulation of what happens in the environment. Survival is not always to the strong, it can go to the quick or the cunning and exploiting those that lack the capability to adapt. In fact it is illegal to kill another Sith, strangely enough.
