“My lord,” Baras began with a nod from his command ship over Ziost, “My talks have yielded fruit, and I believe we can bring a neat close to this matter of the Magpie.”
Vengean snorts and says, “I don’t care about your personal issues, my concerns are far larger.”
“She is a threat to the-”
“I don’t care, we have the numbers to push forward my agenda. I cannot let this setback on Voss stand, move the time table forward. You have the routes to Coruscant, we should utilize them,” he says tapping his chair with impatience.
“My agents are not fully in place, I need more time,” Baras retorts as he considers the scope of the task asked of him.
A stern woman’s voice from off-screen says, “I told you he would find a way to stall, my lord.”
Baras scowls and says, “Is the Massassi Queen going to be privy to all of our meetings?”
“She provides sound council, something I have found lacking from you. Get results Baras, the plan moves forward. You know the price of failure,” Vengean says before ending the call.
Baras looks up and then glances off into the darkness, “Now you see how desperate he grows. Once we deal with Magpie, you will support me in removing the final obstacle to my ambitions?”

Darth Aria steps from the shadows, more that the darkness recedes from the ancient crone, as she says, “His weakness is offensive, I have foreseen his end and your hand behind it, be it now or years from now, you will be his end. See it done and you shall have my favor.”
Tattooine
The line of slaves was brought before the hutt who examines the would be pit fighters with care. He speaks in a rumbling huttese, “These are sickly and will not even last a single fight, I will give you seven thousand credits for all of them. Good deal, yes?”
The scarred togruta scowls and says, “Janzi you insult my ancestors, these are worth at least 12,000; why this Cathar is worth 5,000 by himself. Good fighter. I can’t let them go for less than that.”
Janzi chuckles, his body rolling and jiggling from the mirth and he replies, “The cathar looks weak, and you don’t have a wookiee, these will be fit for dying little else.”
The togruta slave trader says, “I am sure I can take my wares elsewhere.”
“Now, now, don’t be hasty let me look at this so called great fighter. He looks old, maybe you got conned,” the hutt says licking his lips.

The cathar looks up, “Why hello there, I would not consider myself a great warrior but I am a great negotiator.”
Janzi replies, “The slave is funny, I like jokes.”
“Well I have never been known for my jokes, I prefer puns myself. But I did worm my way into your presence, mighty Janzi the Hutt. Deal with me and you just might make it through this unharmed,” the cather replies with a gentle smile.
The togruta turns and says, “Silence slave!”
The cathar replies calmly, “No, you want to rethink your life and release the rest of these slaves.”
The slave trader furrows his brow and then says, “I want to rethink my life and release the rest of the slaves.”
Janzi looks around nervously and says, “Uhh… Jedi?”
“How rude of me, my name is Raji Xen and I believe we should have a chat Janzi,” Master Xen says.
“Well you have my attention, master Jedi,” the hutt replies with a large gulp.
