[Day 2 - LE] The Big Game

[Nekoinu]

"She's been disappearing more often lately! Really quite an odd woman sometimes! But she does her job well, very well really!"

[Moyr Ahaya]

"Does she? And what's her job exactly?"

[Nekoinu]

"She's a legal advisor, as strange as that sounds! Contracts and whatnot with corporations and other criminal syndicates!"

[Moyr Ahaya]

"Ah, so she's familiar with the corporate world too? Another reason to meet her!"

[Nekoinu]

"Yes! If you have any interest in that, she's the one to meet!"

[Moyr Ahaya]

"And if I wanted to pay you a visit, where is you office located?"

[Nekoinu]

Zios laid out the directions to his place over in Shadow Town and handed over his comm details. "Come by anytime! Or send your friend!"

[Moyr Ahaya]

"That I will! As a rising Hutball star, can I count on a discount?" She teased,

[Nekoinu]

"We can figure that out when you come! After all, I can't give everyone I like discounts," he remarked, with furious nodding afterward as if that was the profoundest truth in the galaxy.

[Moyr Ahaya]

"As should be expected of a shrewd businessman. But it never hurts trying." She laughed, then extended her hand. "It was good meeting you. Now I think I need to take care of my bruises."

[Nekoinu]

"Good, good, good!" He shook the hand with both of his up and down. "Do not let me keep you! But also, I'm sure those bruises are nothing compared to what you gave the opposing them! To their ego that is!"

[Moyr Ahaya]

"Perhaps. I am more satisfied that the power of the Sith was demonstrated before the galactic audience." She rose.

[Nekoinu]

"Yes yes! The Empire has shown its might! I get confused sometimes why they are here for peace with how the war is going!"

[Moyr Ahaya]

"How should I put it? In your terms, peace is... a marketing strategy." She laughed. "May the Force be with you."

[Nekoinu]

"Hm, still pretty weird! And I guess let the Force be with you too! Bye!"

[Zeno Deathwright]

Zeno sees that he gets a message and excuses himself to hear it and respond.

After some time passes, she opens her eyes and sighs. She reaches to her nighstand and grabs her communicator one last time, placing a call.

"Captain of the Umbral Star, this is Adrianaa Morindel. We met speaking with the Pirate Queen. I am going out on a limb here, but there is something I need to discuss to you about delivering this Rodian. It doesn't sit right with me, my crew, or the crew of the Tortoise. When you have some time, please call me back. Thanks."

She fidgets for a moment with the communicator as if debating to make another call and then shakes her head and sets it down, sliding herself under the covers of her bed and closing her eyes.

He returns the call right afterwards, buzzing through to her.

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain smiles and leans towards Kris lightly while facing Shaisha, "You see that Kris? Her boooooyfriend shows up and all of a sudden we're chopped Bantha fodder."

He smiles teasingly at his sister and chuckles once as he waits for her reply.

[Moyr Ahaya]

The Red Wraith left the Arena.

Zeno sees that he gets a message and excuses himself to hear it and respond.

He returns the call right afterwards, buzzing through to her.

"Oh, hello. I didn't expect a call so quickly."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Oh, hello. I didn't expect a call so quickly."

"I just finished with the grudge match huttball game a short while ago," he replies over the comms. "What did you need to discuss?"

[Adrianaa Morindel]

"The Rodian. Please forgive me for not contacting you sooner. Many are hesitant to deal with a Sith, and I needed to think a bit."

The connection is silent for a moment before the woman continues.

"I'll be frank. The Night Saber and the Tortoise do not wish to bring her back to the Queen. We want to get the information, but we did not answer a distress call just to become the butchers ourselves. What would it take to convince you to let her get away, provided we got everything needed to continue the Queens mission?"

[Zeno Deathwright]

"The Rodian. Please forgive me for not contacting you sooner. Many are hesitant to deal with a Sith, and I needed to think a bit."

The connection is silent for a moment before the woman continues.

"I'll be frank. The Night Saber and the Tortoise do not wish to bring her back to the Queen. We want to get the information, but we did not answer a distress call just to become the butchers ourselves. What would it take to convince you to let her get away, provided we got everything needed to continue the Queens mission?"

"To be frank, I could honestly care less about what happens to the Rodian. Live or die, returned or freed. Her only value is for the information needed and her strength as a tool to please Thaya Kess. But that is a powerful motivator to turn her over to someone I would like to develop a working relationship with," he states flatly.

"Thaya wants what she views as justice, and she wants to administer it herself. The question is what could be given to the queen that would be of equivalent value to that sense of justice she would feel. Of course, we both know it's not really justice and it's just her personal sense of vengeance, but to grant her that is worth more than you might suspect. How would one grant her that without turning over the Rodian?" he asks curiously and waits for an answer.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

Sylvain smiles and leans towards Kris lightly while facing Shaisha, "You see that Kris? Her boooooyfriend shows up and all of a sudden we're chopped Bantha fodder."

He smiles teasingly at his sister and chuckles once as he waits for her reply.

Shaisha huffed and was going to fling the water bottle near Sylvain at him without having to strain herself... but failed as the deep breath shot a stab of pain through her.

"... Shut up," she growled, not amused. Or in pain. Or both.

"I too wish to use the Queen as a tool in the future, so I do not want her angry. That said, I have boundaries I will not cross, and slaves is one of them. People deserve freedom no matter what. I won't have her sit in a cage to be tortured."

"I already sowed the seed during the meeting of how we can avoid delivering her. Make the Queen think the Rodian was slain. So long as we get all the information, she shouldn't be too upset. Especially if she is convinced that her vengeance was dealt out, if second hand."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"I too wish to use the Queen as a tool in the future, so I do not want her angry. That said, I have boundaries I will not cross, and slaves is one of them. People deserve freedom no matter what. I won't have her sit in a cage to be tortured."

"You won't cross the slave line, but you'll willingly work with slavers? That's a bit hypocritical don't you think? She's not going to stop keeping slaves just because you do a job for her. If anything, the money that the job makes her will result in her owning even more slaves. You realize that right? The mission is basically funding a slaver and killer? Whats one more among the hundreds you are likely to help her gain by increasing her power." He seems more curious than anything, and he clearly isn't being judgmental because he couldn't care less about the slavery issue.
