[D6 MM] Oh, This Comes Next

[Niall Organa]

Niall made sure to send a message ahead that he was coming. He knew better than to walk into the building unannounced, nor to try to muddle through with the clearance that he did have.

And so, when he arrived, all dressed in his Republic military uniform, he hopefully wouldn't have to say much. "Captain Niall Organa." He introduced himself to the person at the front desk. "I believe I'm expected."

[Dapper Dog]

The staff directs him to the executive suite.

[Niall Organa]

Once upon a time, Niall might have been uncomfortable waiting in these sort of circumstances. But the nature of this war had made him familiar with working alongside intelligence agents. And so he waited patiently for Agent Yuris to arrive.

[Agent Wren Yuris]

Wren arrives and says, “Captain, good morning. Glad you came by, seems you understand the importance of this mission. Did the Colonel brief you?”

[Niall Organa]

"Agent Yuris. In brief, yes." He gave a grimace at the unintended pun. "She said that you would be able to provide more information. I gather this is a case you've been working on?"

[Agent Wren Yuris]

“Yeah a long time, and his reach is larger than I suspected. Tell me what you know and I can fill in the rest,” she says.

[Niall Organa]

Niall nodded. "I was instructed to determine if Ras Urdo has been smuggling weapons to Imperial agents, and if he is, to put a stop to it." His lips twisted. "And him, if the opportunity arises."

"I was given the name of an informant that can be found at Fancy's Casino. And your name. That's the extent of it."

[Agent Wren Yuris]

“Alright well I am not trying to kill him, he might be more useful to us alive. Ras is dirty but that is obvious we need to find out who his contacts are in the Republic. Chances are we are dealing with Imperial Intelligence. This is going to get messy Captain,” Wren says with concern.

“I suggest you check in with the informant see what he knows, if he wants money let me know we have some discretionary funds we can use for that.”

[Niall Organa]

"Yes. I think I see the proper order of the priorities." Niall nodded. "Finding his contacts does seem like the most necessary step."

Niall spread his hands. "Are you familiar with my background, though? I'm not an intelligence officer. I haven't even had intelligence training. I'd like to bring some people in on this who have."

[Agent Wren Yuris]

"Make sure they are people you can trust, and send me dossiers on them," she responds.

[Niall Organa]

Niall smiled. "I imagine that you already have a file on Lieutenant Varra; I think she's worked in intelligence before. I'll write something up on the others."

"Any other persons of interest on this? Or other information I should know?" Niall asked.

[Agent Wren Yuris]

"Senator Morindel is a person of interest, but for now we have nothing conclusive," she adds.

[Niall Organa]

"Oh. Senator Morindel." Niall grimaced. "Perhaps I had best have a word with her, then. I... my impression is not that she is..." His lips pinched together. "That is, I think she is a little naive. At least, that is my hope. I'll find out."

[Agent Wren Yuris]

“If you have something vital for my investigation best spit it out, Captain,” she says looking at him with a concerned look.

“This is bigger than friendships and good feelings this is the security of the Republic.”

[Niall Organa]

Niall shook his head. "It's just an impression. I'm not friends with the Senator."

He paused a moment thoughtfully before speaking again. "Everyone has heard, I'm sure, about her kneeling to the Sith. And she told me that she went on a date with one, and seemed surprised when I was a bit skeptical. And went into the Red Light district without security." He spread his hands. "I think she's naive rather than corrupt. So I'll have a word with her. She may still have the best interests of the Republic at heart."

[Agent Wren Yuris]

"I admire your optimism," she says calmly. "I really hope that is the case."
