Just a few things I have seen a few comments from players and I wanted to address them, and maybe give some insight on my style. I don’t really like events, I mainly create them because they can be fun and give people some impact but I find them not terribly exciting and sometimes cause anxiety for some people agonizing how to get the best possible roll which is often not really the point.
This is a more story based game and I have tried to add plot points for new people to get them wrapped up in each other’s storyarcs. Some hooks get taken others don’t and some hooks get delayed either by slow posting by me, which I apologize, or a player which I can’t help. As a GM I can’t sadly Foresee what you as the player would enjoy but you can reach out to us via private message or your private folder if you have a suggestion or comment.
I think there is this focus that you need the best rolls, the best percentage chance for victory and that isn’t the point. For me Star Wars isn’t about if you have a 90% to complete objective Y or X but the journey along the way. If there is something you want to do, try it. If there is a story you find interesting reach out to a GM or the players involved and ask. Not every story may get resolved before the end, that will probably happen, but hopefully we can have some fun.
So if you feel lost or aimless let us know; Neko and I both have tried to throw lots of hooks and plots out. Failure is not the end of a story, and can lead to new directions. I try to give people options and this isn’t a tournament game, the peace talks are a backdrop but the real story is the players. The peace talks are there to give context to what is going on, the real stuff is happening in the shadows and the seedy bars.
