Day 8 LM: Witches of the Black Forest

[Baesal Zyn]

Baesal trudged through the swamp in her now dedicated Nal Hutta apparel in route to the Light vergence. One thing she was sure about: she did not like swamps.

[Dapper Dog]

She feels them long before she sees them and on slips from a tree, a short evocii and says, "You return outlander, we welcome you."

[Baesal Zyn]

Baesal gives a little bow

''Good morning. If you don't mind, i've come today to learn about your people and beliefs''

[Dapper Dog]

The evocii turns and starts walking and says, "Well sister Jedi, what is it that intrigues you? I can only say so much, your association with the Sith has the elders concerned."

[Baesal Zyn]

She took a large breath...and tried not to choke on Nal Hutta's air

''Well...I'm not good with plants, nature and all...I'm curious about how you came to protect this place. Could we start with that?''

[Dapper Dog]

"We have been here for many generations, our numbers have grown and ebbed with the change of seasons. Our current incarnation came to be when some Jedi came here to aid our plight and we have adapted accordingly. Now why did you bring the Sith to our swamps?" she asks.

[Baesal Zyn]

''I did not know they where your swamps'' she replied somewhat defensively

''We simply were trying to find a clue about an ancient Dark Side ritual and how to counter it or gain protection against it...what I thought was a clue lead us here.''

[Dapper Dog]

“The Sith are not welcome here, and if they return we will end them to protect these lands,” the evocii says in reply.

“This is not a warning, it is the truth. They have brought much damage and darkness… and are no better than the Hutts.”

[Baesal Zyn]

She understood what the evocii woman said

''I know, I won't bring them back...it was not intentionnal.''

[Dapper Dog]

“Thank you for understanding. I am Jenu, second sister and apprentice to Kaya. Our lands have been busy with much activity and everyone is on edge. I apologize if we seem… guarded,” she says honestly.

[Baesal Zyn]

''And I am Baesal Zyn, padawan to master Raji Xen'' she says with a curtsy

''I understand thst with the talks on the moon the planet itself sees a lot of coming and going. Not always for the better''

[Dapper Dog]

“Thankfully we stay mobile and rarely stay in anyone place for too long to confound the Hutts,” she says honestly.

“We are moving soon.”

[Baesal Zyn]

That got her curious...but with the Sith gang she brought it was wise indeed

''Clever but what about the vergence? Does it move with you or do you have other places such as this one?''

[Dapper Dog]

"The vergences ebb and wane, we move as they come and go. But this move is more to keep our presence hidden from the Sith," she says honestly.

[Baesal Zyn]

''I supposed so'' she remembered Moyr's words

''Do you have many things to move? I am curious about how you live...it seems very in-touch with the environment''

[Dapper Dog]

“We live with the land, we take what we need but never more than the land can afford. Much of what we have we can take with us, some structures are more permanent but left empty. It is a hard but good life,” she responds making her way through the swamp.

[Baesal Zyn]

Baesal walks behind her

"Do you use much technology? How do you record knowledge and information?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Of course, we are not savages," the evocii woman chuckles.

[Baesal Zyn]

''I...I am sorry'' she was somewhat embarassed

''I'm not much of a jungle girl''

[Dapper Dog]

"We live off the land but we do not eschew technology, simply prefer things that are mobile and easily replaced. We still have lightsabers... computers, and technology the woman says with a warm smile.

"Swamp life isn't glamorous but we do good work for the forgotten folks down here."

[Baesal Zyn]

''I suppose they need it...'' she looked around

''Anything I could help with? I am good with computers and engineering''

[Dapper Dog]

"I am sure there is probably something, but I don't have anything specific at the moment," the woman responds.

[Baesal Zyn]

''Okay. What about yourself? How did you come to live here?''

[Dapper Dog]

''Okay. What about yourself? How did you come to live here?''

"I was born here, enslaved, Kaya freed me... maybe she sensed my Force sensitivity, but she took me under her wing," the woman replies.

"Nal Hutta is my species home."

[Baesal Zyn]

''So I have heard. Nal Hutta is blessed to have people like you here.''
