[Dapper Dog]

“Well I tipped the waitress for some food, was tailing a spouse… normal day. Then I was here, maybe someone slipped me something,” he says chuckling.

“If you wanted me alone you could have asked… although Nal Hutta is a pretty terrible place.”

"I had nothing to do with you ending up here. You were here when I got here, waiting for me," she frowns slightly. "Is this the first time something like this has happened to you?"

[Dapper Dog]

"I am not sure..." he says nervously.

Uncertainity. It was a feeling she could relate to. She wondered how many times the Emperor had used her without her even knowing.

"This is going to sound far-fetched, but it is the truth, Vain," Shaisha begins, and takes a deep breath before continuing.

"You're a Child of the Emperor. Not biologically speaking, but you've been touched by His power, made into a tool of His will that He uses as He sees fit to carry out His wishes. Most of the time, you are in a dormant state, unaware of His influence over you... I know this because I am one of the Children too. He brought you here to meet with me... because, well... because I've defied Him before and broken free of His control."

[Dapper Dog]

“That’s crazy… the Emperor can just possess people, and I assume you mean the Emperor, the really high up man in the Empire,” he responds with a chuckle.

“Why me?”

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Yes, the Sith Emperor," she nods in confirmation.

A small shrug of her shoulders. "I don't know, Vain. I don't know why I was chosen for it either. But I can help you break free of His control... because frankly, fuck that guy."

[Dapper Dog]

"Alright I will bite, so how does one break his control?" he asks.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

Shaisha rolls her neck. The way she confronted the Emperor on Yavin IV wasn't one she would recommend to someone like Vain who might have the discipline of a Sith, or a Jedi for that matter. Little did she know.

"Basically, what I did was pitting my will against His... drawing him out and challenging him." But if she could link her senses too his in meditation, she could perhaps be able to combine her will to his. "If you want to try it, I could enter a meditative trance with you, combining our strengths to stand against Him, so to speak."

[Dapper Dog]

“How would that work, you get inside my head?” he asks cautiously.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"It's possible, though it sounds just as likely that you'll get into mine as well," she replies, not seeming too keen on that herself either, but she was still determined to help. "It's up to you."

[Dapper Dog]

“I just have ahd some bad luck with the Sith, some try to kill me, others also try to kill me… mostly almost murder seems to be a reoccurring trend so I am just weighing my options here. I mean thus far this whole Emperor’s Child thing has not been… awful but then again not knowing if I am me all the time, is unnerving,” he says.

“But then you might find all my dirty secrets. And unlike a computer I can’t just erase the history so no one knows my dark fetishes,” he finishes.

"If I had wanted to kill you, I could have done so already today when the Emperor goaded me to strike you down, or anytime before," she reminds him, crossing her arms over her chest.

"You are not the only one with secrets, Vain, and your kinks are of no concern to me. However, I'm a strong believer in not being chained to anyone's will but your own, and I am offering you my help... if you don't want it, that's fine, but I won't offer it a second time."

[Dapper Dog]

"I do like living," he muses and then adds, "Okay I will bite."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

She nods.

"Ok... so, uhm... you've done meditation before?"

[Dapper Dog]

"I saw Vera Hawke do it on the show, sit down cross legged and mumble stuff right?” he offers seriously.

OOC: Discipline check, he grants a Boost die, roll Force and the difficulty is Daunting. I am flipping a destiny.

"Not quite..."

Finding a nearby dry spot, Shaisha seats herself down, patting the ground beside her for Vain to sit. "The Force is part of us all, even those who aren't able to use it like Jedi or Sith. Breathe deeply, let go of your inhibitions, look inside you and face your fears - your nightmares. The Emperor feeds on those emotions..."

As she reaches out with the Force to his mind, her voice drifts away and her thoughts speak instead. "Don't shy away from your fears... master them, conquer them, make them your strengths. Reach out your mind, and you can feel His connection to you... find those chains and break them."

Vain’s mind is like a desert devoid of much but sand, an endless expanse of nothing but together they find their way through the expanse it is less a maze and more a journey that seems to take hours but when they open their eyes mere minutes have passed. Together they scour the desert of his mind of the traces of the Emperor.

They find the dark places and root out the shackles that have dg deep into the mind and push aside the deception of the Emperor and in so doing she comes to understand the darkness she faced on Nathema, the cruelty of ages and the parts of the dark design.

The war that the Sith are fighting that the Republic fighting… it serves a purpose for a grand ritual. It is all to serve the Emperor. This is all a distraction for something grander.

As it's finally over, Shaisha slumps and rests her head in her hands. It had been straining on her own will and mental fortitude to go through the ordeal again, pushing her own limits. But she had been triumphant.

The war... it was much more than just Light against Dark. It was... no, it wasn't like the ritual of Nathema, but it certainly had enough to resemble it.

"... You ok?" she asks after a moment of silence as she gets her bearings.

“I feel like I got kicked in the gut but I will live,” he says after a moment of silence. “Learning your whole life has been a lie is kind of weird. Also dad has some messed up plans not that I understand it all.”

[Shaisha Vreysk]

She flinches slightly at the use of the word 'dad' for the Emperor. "Yeah... it's messed up."

"So, uhm... what are you going to do now?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Head back to Nar Shaddaa, once I figure out how I even got here. surely I didn't walk," he says honestly.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

The simplicity of his answer was unexpected and refreshing, and she bursts into a brief laugh in response.

"Right, right... no idea how you got here, but you can hitch a ride on my ship back." She straightens herself and gets back up on her feet. "... I was thinking more of the... not-so distant future. Just going back to the regular life on Nar Shaddaa, or...?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Look I am not sure what crazy stuff you Sith are into but I have no interest in delving into this any further, this is way above anything I ever wanted to know," he says honestly.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Hm... I guess I can understand the sentiment," she brushes off her robes.

"... Would you mind keeping in contact though? I have some leads on others who are possibly in the same situation as you were just in. And you seem pretty good at finding people."

[Dapper Dog]

"You got my card," he replies. "Also why are you out here?"
