The PCs are not representative of the Empire, they are far nicer than most Empire will ever be a Republic turncoat. But I understand his sentiment.

As far as I can tell, there hasn't been much, plot wise, for the Republic.

There has been a great deal of plot for the Republic, especially by Nekoinu. Who has created a lot of great content for the new folks.
