Chainfree Exploration (D10, LE Haydriss)

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain arrived at Haydriss' new chambers late that evening after having a full day to work out his thoughts. He made his presence known and waited to be invited in by the men at the door.

[Nekoinu]

When he was let inside, Sylvain found the Sith Lord without her mask absently sipping on a glass of wine. She looked him over and then gave him a faint smile. "I expected you to disregard your duties to me and never approach me again. I am glad that is proven false." She took a sip from her glass. "Unless you came here to assault me."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He chuckled once and shook his head, "Of course not. As odd as it may seem, there are honest men who fulfill on what they promise in the Empire still. I trust you made it through the events of last night well enough?"

[Nekoinu]

"Well enough," she mused before taking another sip from her glass. "Should I pour you a glass of your own, sir?"

Lord Haydriss peered at him. "I assume you came here to discuss your work, then."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "That I did indeed. And a glass would be nice."

[Nekoinu]

The Sith Lord nodded and lazily opened up a cabinet via the Force. She lifted a glass over to the man and grabbed the wine bottle with her physical hand. After pouring it for him, she raised her own glass. "Cheers then."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He raised his glass and replied, "Cheers."

After taking a sip he sat down and looked at the woman across from him, "So it seems my current situation has changed since we last met. This is a potential boon for our research, but does provide some obstacles as well."

[Nekoinu]

"I imagine so." Haydriss peered at him. "There is not a single person on this moon who does not know about the barge. The details may be misconstrued or unknown but your presence there is resounding." She looked to her glass and then back to him. "What obstacles do you foresee?"

[Sylvain Torsin]

"Well... first I have been released from Baras' service. And in a way blacklisted by certain members of the Council. I must seek my own path forward now... one which will not be easy for me to tread." He replied and took a sip.

"I would normally seek perhaps an apprenticeship from someone like yourself, but I doubt even you or your Master would wish to draw attention to themselves by officially taking in someone who is a potential liability like myself." He said in a straightforward and manner of fact way.

"However, I am perhaps the only one who can currently help you in your research on vergences... but I lack the proper resources to move about the galaxy with ease. I'm not much of a pilot myself, so I have no need to be given a ship permanently... but having transportation available to reach the sometimes less convenient places in the galaxy would be helpful in completing the tasks you wish for me to complete."

[Nekoinu]

"How intriguing. Your paramour's family rises back to prominence while you yourself decline." Lord Haydriss finished the rest of her glass and kept it unfilled for the time being. She looked past him on the matter and then gazed back at him. "Very well. Your capacity as my assistant will be expanded although your position will still remain unofficial. Transportation will be trivial to arrange but I must wonder if you would ask more of me."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He shook his head, "That is all I require for now Lord Haydriss. I feel this will allow for us to learn much about the Force and provide means for you and your master to continue on your rise to power whilst I consolidate a position in the Empire for myself as well."

He smiled charmingly, "I will have to pick you up a gift for your generosity sometime soon... is there any particular thing which catches your fancy?"

[Nekoinu]

"Such rhetoric. Let us hope that your promises come to fruition." The Sith woman chuckled and shook her head. "Good luck securing your own position, Torsin."

She perked her brow. "What sort of gift did you have in mind?"

[Sylvain Torsin]

"I aim to please, so whatever you feel you would be most enthused to receive shall be my goal." He smiled.

[Nekoinu]

"i desire only results from you," she replied plainly, "And when I receive those results I will be quite 'enthused,' as you say." Haydriss smiled at him. "After all, what more could we desire than more knowledge of the Force?"

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded affirmatively, "Excellent... then I will show you just how efficient I can be."

He then bowed politely, "If you have no more need of me, I shall be going."

[Nekoinu]

Lord Haydriss nodded. "I assume you have much to attend to. Farewell, my not-apprentice," she stated with a amused grin.

[Sylvain Torsin]

He chuckled, "Farewell my not-master."

He bowed again and made his /exit.
