From the relative privacy of her own tiny little room, Layne directed the ship's communication systems to open her up a link to Yavin, to the one person in this galaxy she knew of that could qualify as 'family'; if an ancestor posessing some alien body and who was separated by thousands and thousands of years could really be considered as such.

“Oh flesh of my flesh, is that how it goes…” she says as her visage becomes visible.

She stands tall and domineering, well as domineering as a hologram can be.

She shrugged at the implied-yet-meaningless question. "Think I heard that said before."

Layne had had an easier time relating to Magara-sha back when she was in the body of Anya Veers; but she had to admit that taking over the queen had been a pretty good move, despite not seeing it at the time.

"So. How's the royal life these days?"

[Dapper Dog]

“I was always a queen, reality just caught up to my will,” she says honestly.

“Is this a social call, or do you need something?”

[Layne Hoshin]

"Can't it be both?"

She leaned back on her bunk.

"I mean, it's not like you can do anything directly for me from way over there anyhow, so it's not like that. Although if you could send over a couple of million credits so I can get a proper ship again I wouldn't say no."

She waved a hand dismissively at her own words. "I just figured now that you've worked with the empire for a bit, you might have some insights into what's about to go down at Nar Shaddaa."

[Dapper Dog]

"Insight perhaps, I have seen the moon, far too many of those slugs for my tastes. I sense duty and destiny has brought you to this place. I am intrigued to see if you will survive the trials to come," she says with a wicked grin.

[Layne Hoshin]

"Now see, you know more than you're letting on. Is it the force that's telling you all this, or your imperial liaison? Are they including you in the high level stuff yet? If so, you must know what's really going on here."

[Dapper Dog]

"The Force and intuition but I have seen classified reports on the high level planning. That is not all that relevant to this conversation at the moment, as annoying as it may be... my powers of foresight seem to focus on your future. It is a bit unsatisfying but useful," she says in her usual haughty yet fierce manner.

"Our family may grow. The line of my sister is not many but I do feel another though it is faint. As you get closer to Nar Shaddaa, it becomes easier for me to see."

[Layne Hoshin]

"What's that supposed to mean? Like... a cousin I don't know about or something?"

It was possible. It wasn't like she remembered much of her family, or how it all went down when they were killed; and over the years she didn't exactly have many opportunities to find out.

"They're at Nar Shaddaa?"

[Dapper Dog]

"That is my assumption, so be alert, the Force has a way of bringing people together... especially family. If you don't find them, I am sure they will find you," Jug'tih says.

[Layne Hoshin]

"Huh," she shrugged in confusion as a multitude of thoughts ran through her.

"That could complicate things. Especially now that Baras is making a personal appearance."

[Dapper Dog]

"I am aware, I have foreseen his arrival though not the purpose of it. May the Force make you Strong, there is little more I can give on that subject," she says.

[Layne Hoshin]

"He's been vague on it. Maybe it has something to do with this 'Magpie' he's after. Or maybe he and Vengean have something planned for the conference."

[Dapper Dog]

"Vengean wants to attack Coruscant, but he needs time to regain his losses. As for Magpie, I am sure she will be involved, I know little else though," Jug'tih says.

[Layne Hoshin]

"Attack Coruscant huh. So this whole peace treaty is just a way to buy time."

[Dapper Dog]

"For him yes, not all agree on that course of action at this time," she says.

[Layne Hoshin]

"I guess not everyone's a literalist about the code. And I suppose neither of us really care one way or the other."

[Dapper Dog]

"I only concern myself with my people and my kin," Jug'tih says.

"That seems more than enough."

[Layne Hoshin]

"Is the empire making much use of Massasi manpower yet?"

[Dapper Dog]

"My people win wars, Darth Vengean lives because of my support. So yes we are vital to the war effort. Wanting a Massassi apprentice?" Jug'tih says with a wicked smile.

[Layne Hoshin]

"Not particularly no. Besides, only an idiot would take on an apprentice before she's ready. I barely have anything to teach."

[Dapper Dog]

"You're learning, is my little niece learning?" the Queen asks.

[Layne Hoshin]

"Bit by tiny bit. Baras isn't exactly the lecturing type, and I'd hoped I'd be stronger in the force by now. But hey, at least I know how to swing a lightsaber around."

[Dapper Dog]

"Do you feel he is holding you back?" She asks.

[Layne Hoshin]

"Maybe that's not quite the term. More like, he's just throwing me at his enemies hoping it'll teach me something."
