The young twi’lek bounds and rushes up ladders and free-runs her way to a roof but miscalculates the last jump and hits the edge hanging by one hand. Before she can adjust she feels a boot step on her fingers and a brutish Nikto is looking down at her.

He scowls and cocks his head looking at her and then says in Huttese, “No honor in this.”

OOC: Flip a Dark side.

He removes his boot and walks away and then there is a sound of a speeder as she pulls herself up and only to see him vanish into the distance on his speeder.

Scoffing with anger, she was making the mental effort to memorise the face of the Nikto. It was unsatisfactory, and yet also fortunate and some conclusions could be drawn from it. As the Sith on the night watch, she did her job. There was no point in returning to Mixo. Sticking to the shadows, she proceeded to a safe spot and called Hala again.

It seemed like things were peaceful enough. Galen joined Durasay.

It took a little bit but her commlink to answer but eventually it did.

"Colonel Moraal here," came the voice, more alert but more tired.

[Durasay Mixo]

The Nikto stay their hands as the leader says, "We don't know anything about that, and if we did we ain't saying... I tell you what. You respect our space and we respect yours. Have a drink of Vogu, friend."

One of the Nikto tosses him an old ceramic jug with sloshing liquid inside.

OOC: Moyr can run away the Nikto are not following, they like this Pantoran and his moxie.

Durasay caught the ceramic jug, flourishing his blaster as a gunslinger before holstering it. "For honor and glory, friends!" He bellowed in Huttese once more, before taking a good long drink of the strong stuff.

"You and the Scarlet Suns will have no issues with me or mine. I hope you'll invite me to your next party." He was still easy going, tossing back the ceramic jug.

Inwardly, he cursed. It felt like a lead was slipping from his fingers. At least he had diffused a gun fight.

"Has Lana Beniko arrived? Are you onto the body?" Moyr was breathing heavily after the run.

"Bring a swoop worth racing and we'll think about," the nikto responds in Huttese.

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"Has Lana Beniko arrived? Are you onto the body?" Moyr was breathing heavily after the run.

"Lord Beniko has arrived, yes. I am not able to tell you a lot that you did not already know. Lord Yulen was renowned for his dueling and the theory is that he was killed by a primitive blade.... there is circumstantial evidence to support the theory that it was Nikto, potentially the 'Scarlet Suns'. Not nothing conclusive yet," came her reply.

"If there was a security response then maybe someone has footage of the attack that we can pull.... but I am not sure what more I can tell you from what I have on hand."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"Can you get me a facial image of the leader or leaders of those Scarlet Suns?"

Mixo was anything if not persistent. Still tasting the hard liquor on his tongue, he laughed at the mention of the swoop race.

"As long as you bring a Swoop worth beating." His words were level in Huttese, as he reached out with the Force, feeling it flowing through him, and through his word.

"After all, you and I, I think we are a lot alike. We don't like messes on our turf, right? Maybe I'm wanting to di you a solid, and clean up a mess."

(OOC: using influence as I talk to put the leader into a relaxed or trustworthy mood. Hopefully to get another shot at an answer.)

"Scarlet Suns have no messes, we take care of our own," the leader replies proudly.

"Why did you come here? You think we need your help? You want something then you beat me in a race, otherwise we have nothing to say."

[Durasay Mixo]

Karabast! He swore inwardly to himself, as the calm, cool smile remained on his features, his eyes wide in an expression of trust. "As I said, I came here because I came across a gutted Sith lord. A clue led me here, I was hoping to speak to you fine folks to help me out. After all, if this peace deal goes through, it's going to be very profitable, for all of us."

And then the invitation. The challenge. His smile turned into a wicked grin. If there was anything that was High Risk, it was Swoop Racing. Dangerous, often deadly, and with disregard for most sensible speed regulations. He loved watching the races, and a chance to participate?

He'd take that risk.

"Well, why wait for me to buy a bike. I'm sure one of your trust comrades would be more than happy to loan me one? I'd throw down, right here and now, if I could." Turning his charm up, speaking only in Huttese, he felt he could do this. The Force was with him, after all.

The nikto rolls that over and says, “Boku, give the soft skin your bike, I’m gonna mourn him when he dies.”

Boku a shorter nikto nods and tosses the Pantoran the keys and says in Huttese, “She’s a bit twitchy, but she’s fast.”

“Niza, do your stuff,” he says to the woman at his side.

Niza smiles and gets astride her highly modded swoop bike. She looks at Durasay and guns the engine, spinning the swoop in a circle before she bolts off into the oncoming traffic.

The gang leader laughs and says, “Better catch her soft-skin.”

OOC: Piloting Planetary Hard with a setback due to oncoming traffic. Threat used for driving into oncoming traffic. The modded swoop will give you a single upgrade on the check but it’s twitchy as hell, if you get three threat on a check it will burn out.

"Don't worry, I won't scratch her too badly, or your bike up, either." He grinned, catching the keys in mid air, as he cooly hopped onto the back of the swoop. Taking a few deep breaths, he gunned the repulsor drive, his trench coat flourishing behind him. His eyes narrowed, as he accelerated, moving into the oncoming traffic, speeders and the wind whipping around his face. He knew she was ahead of him, but he wouldn't give up!

OOC: Cue the music for a chase. Going old school. The rules are simple she is at Medium Range (Vehicle scale) from Durasay. Each player will make a Simple Planetary check with a single setback due to heavy traffic and then we will compare and whoever has more Successes wins, as the pursuer Durasay can decrease the distance and Niza will increase the distance most likely.

Niza is fast, but now that they are in the air he can better focus on her as speeders honk trying not to hit her and weave around the two riders. She has a sizeable advantage in lead but the modded swoop has kick to it… as long as it does not burn out.

Niza glances back and finds a lane and guns her swoop pushing it to the limit, her coat flowing in the wind. She was definitely born for this.

OOC: Nothing fancy just pure speed.

Durasay leans into the controls, pushing down the accelerator as he dodges past airspeeders of the heavy city traffic. The high pitched whine of the swoop fills his ears, as his own coat flaps in the fast moving wind. Keeping an eye on her, he grins as it seems he's gaining. Gunning the engine, he slips above traffic slightly, hoping to close her lead!

Niza clips a transport speeder as she looks to see the pantoran gaining on her. She weaves through the traffic and grins as she plows forward towards a Hutt Security speeder, they veer at the last minute putting them right in Durasay’s path!

Time to push it.

OOC: She wins and pushes back out to Medium range, uses the advantage to give Durasay a setback die.

"Kriff!" Durasay yells as he raises up the swoops maneuvering vanes and rises into the air over the incoming transport. Seeing Niza gaining distance, he swears internally.

Yet given his new vantage point, he sees a path which may help him catch her!

(I'd like to use my 3 advantages to see a way to bring the race even closer. Mechanically what would that do for me?)

Niz continues to weave and dive and rise through the traffic, anticipating movements three an four moves ahead, her modded speeder burning hot as she pulls even further ahead. She does a sharp turn and blasts down a narrow alley at recklessly high speed.

She was testing the limits of luck, thankfully she had the skill to make it look effortless.

OOC: This moves her to Long Range now, the Triumph will grant her an additional upgrade for next round, her Advantage she uses to give Durasay a setback. But Durasay can get a free upgrade next round due to his Advantage.

The vantage point came through, as Durasay watched her start to pull away. As luck would have it, traffic was beginning to thicken up ahead, forcing the Nikto to have to dodge and dive even more

The Pantoran gunned the acclerator, his blood pumping in his ears.

(Could I use the Triumph to add one challenge die to her next roll?)

Niza glances back and sees the distance widening and dips down under the traffic just as she spies a Hutt pleasure barge gumming up the works causing extensive traffic delays as the massive craft maneuvers slowly though Nar Shaddaa traffic.

She grins and guns it across the deck buzzing the guests as Hutt Security dive cover, she reaches out, weaving through the barge until she flies out the opposite side in a control dive before gunning the engine weaving through traffic once more. Her antics casuing many vehicle to collide with other vehicles to avoid the swoop racer.

She is one with the swoop racer.

OOC: Nizza is now at Extreme range but she adds a Challenge die for the thick traffic. She uses the advantage to give herself a boost die and the other two to increase the setback dice for Durasay to 2.
