Alysele sat in the central area, working on her saber. She wanted to modify it, to improve its guard.

It was a saber she constructed, and knew well.... sadly not well enough.

"Darn it." Well, that was a bust.

"Hey there, long time no chat. Well, not that long." She took a seat and stared at the lightsaber. "Heard you got beat up by a nikto."

[Alysele Cortess]

"Apparently I'm the talk of the enclave. My, life here is boring." She seemed to be chipper. Awfully chipper. "How have you been? Taken your Trials yet?"

[Nekoinu]

"No. Master Mersl thinks I need more time even though I've been ready for months. Years even maybe!" She crossed her arms and huffed. "You're right about life being boring. I thought I'd be able to go and have fun on this moon."

[Alysele Cortess]

"What, they not letting you out of the compound or what?" Aly continued checking the hilt. I didn't break it, did I?

[Nekoinu]

"No." She crossed her arms. "I don't know who told her but Master Mersl was not pleased when she heard we ran off to see Zios." A pause. "Wait, did she even lecture you on it?!"

[Alysele Cortess]

"No, she didn't. That's strange..." she frowned. "Perhaps I'll have a word with her. You need world experience." She smiled slightly. "Not that you don't already, but being a Jedi out in the galaxy is different." She gave up on the hilt. Stupid thing.

"What is she having you do?"

[Nekoinu]

"Meditate, again and again and again. Master Mersl doesn't even want me to go to her stupid luncheon. Doesn't think I'm 'ready' to sit down an eat."

[Alysele Cortess]

"Well, that takes skill with a fork and a knife. You sure you can handle that?" She smiled at her own joke.

[Nekoinu]

Zuraa rolled her eyes. "I was always more of a spoon person."

[Alysele Cortess]

"Well, there you go." She laughed. "Okay, I'll see what I can do. I'll talk to her. See if we can find some outside duty for you. And then you can owe me a favor."

She put away the toolkit for now.

[Nekoinu]

"How would I owe you a favor? I got you that hilt! Kind of, at least." She glowered and crossed her arms. "Kind of."

[Alysele Cortess]

"You were kind enough for me to meet someone. But, I talked Master Shan into discussing acquiring the parts with the Council."

After packing everything away, she sat down opposite of Zuraa. "So really, I'm the real hero here."

[Nekoinu]

The Falleen sighed. "Aren't Jedi Knights supposed to be the exact opposite? Like not caring about 'being the real hero' or whatever?"

[Alysele Cortess]

"See? I'm teaching you already." She let out a laugh. "What do you want to do as a Jedi?" she suddenly asked the Falleen

[Nekoinu]

"I think my goals are like any other Jedi. Galactic peace and all that," Zuraa said with a slight frown, "It's only my methods that are different."

[Alysele Cortess]

"Oh? Become a dashing knight, rescuer of maidens, freer of slaves?" She let out a laugh. "Methods are... well, methods. What do you see happen if the peace talks go through, and there's actual peace involved?"

[Nekoinu]

"I don't believe in it with the Sith about. I don't think they'll ever follow it." She shrugged. "If I had my way, they'd just stick to their territory. The galaxy is big enough for us to avoid each other."

[Alysele Cortess]

"Probably not. Peace is a lie, after all. Still... it's interesting that they're entertaining the notion." She mused on it, and started playing with a lock of her standing out.

"I assume it means they're desperate."

[Nekoinu]

"They tend to kill each other a lot. Probably why they're in such a rough spot. That and they probably underestimated how much the Republic would fight back."

[Alysele Cortess]

"True... though let's be fair. Not everyone wants to fight. But there are enough of us to not make it worthwhile. That said... yeah, some peace could be interesting." She continued playing with the hair, her eyes not focusing on anywhere in particular.

"I'd like to see how does the Republic handle peace."

[Nekoinu]

"I imagine there would be a lot of repair work. That's what we're supposed to do, right? Be the good guys."

[Alysele Cortess]

"Yeah... what does mean though? Repair work. Retraining.... think of the veterans." That was a scary thought in certain ways. "It seemed simpler when I was younger."

[Nekoinu]

"I think my master could adapt to it well. Better than watching her try to pacify any enemies that come up to her." She shrugged. "And then you have the ones like Master Lorne." A pause. "And that doesn't even include the Republic military either."

[Alysele Cortess]

"Yeah. Master Lorne... I don't think he believes he can handle peace." She looked pensieve. "Kind of ironic, considering the code... but we're all just sapients." She leaned back in her char, crossing her right leg on the left. "What about you? What do you expect you would do during peace?"
