The Exile (D8, MM)

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"..." Shaisha tilts her head slightly to the side.

"Do you have any knowledge on someone's connection to the Force being... damaged, so to speak?" It was pretty much the only way she could think of explaining the scars Nathema had left on her without going into the full story.

[Dapper Dog]

"The connections we have through the Force can be a strain on anyone especially in extreme cases of Dark Side corruption. There have been those in the order that learned techniques to heal such injuries but I am no Barsenthor, and there has not been one in some time," she replies honestly.

"But I have been gone a long time, so my knowledge is not absolute."

[Jo'ren Rath]

"It's almost 400 years since you lived. Is this your first conversation since then? I'm not sure I could imagine giving up my saber." He shrugged.

"I'm sure you think you know everything about the Sith. Jedi usually do. Is that why your people tried to exterminate us?"

He turned to face the spirit, interested in Shaisha's line of questioning but too stubborn to keep quiet.

"I've no idea what a Barsen'thor is," she shrugs. Probably Jedi-speak for a Master of sorts. Maybe something like a Darth for Jedi?

Though she did let the Force spirit have a chance to answer Jo'ren's question first before continuing.

[Dapper Dog]

“Barsenthor is a warden of the order, a protector and teacher. As for the Sith, I have killed my share of Sith, it was not to exterminate it was simply there was no other choice. The decision made was what was seen as correct at the time, one I did not take not part in. I judge each Sith as they are, though I am not robbing your tomb,” she says with a ghostly chuckle.

“I know enough to know that my knowledge of the Sith is one of an outsider.”

That gave Jo'ren pause and he nodded after a few moments. "Fair enough Jedi, fair enough. I didn't expect to find a force ghost here. I came here because I was told of a Jedi exile and thought I would find items of interest to me. I was hoping to upgrade my lightsaber in truth."

He looked at her with a serious expression. "The Sith, the true Sith that is, care about freedom. The freedom to choose our own path. Would it surprise you to learn I saved a Jedi from certain death? Just a few days ago."

He spread his arms. "Look into my thoughts if you can. Maybe you'll learn something."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"I came for knowledge," she admits, but lets Jo'ren play with the ghost as he dared it to look into his mind.

[Dapper Dog]

"I am dead, but I see easy enough. Perhaps you will redeem yourself in time, Sith," she responds.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

Either of them being 'redeemed' seemed odd. But it was how Jedi usually talked, she had been told.

"Do you have means of leaving this place? Or is your knowledge available in datafiles or something like a holocron?"

[Dapper Dog]

“I never created a holocron and never thought I would share my information with anyone. I lived here alone with a few droids, that have long since stopped working. My spirit lingers here and I am all that is left my knowledge. I had no vanity, and did not seek fame or cared for it,” she replies honestly.

[Jo'ren Rath]

Jo'ren shrugged. "Don't know why I'd need to, but maybe. Who knows." He looked at Shaisha and gave her a raised eyebrow.

"So where did you leave your Lightsaber if you threw away all of your possessions?" He turned and had another go at opening the doors. In his experience Jedi always left something out and it wouldn't surprise him if she really had left something behind.

[Dapper Dog]

The spirit says, “It isn’t here Sith, though I doubt you will believe me. Before my time came to an end I passed it on to a friend for safe keeping and this was centuries ago. Not even I know where it has traveled. I pray that it still serves to do good.”

Shaisha looks at Jo'ren as he tries one of the doors. "Out of curiosity, who was this friend?"

[Dapper Dog]

“His name was Dano Jix, a scoundrel of a Bothan if ever there was one. We worked together well, I hope he found rest when he returned to the Force,” she says fondly.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"It's certainly possible," Shaisha nods. There might be something of interest, she figures, but for the moment she was inclined to believing the Jedi... though it didn't mean she'd stop Jo'ren from searching.

"A pity your knowledge has become lost with you... I would have liked to learn more of what you know, to expand my own understanding."

[Jo'ren Rath]

"You know my ancestor was one of the founders of the Jedaii. He was their first ranger, but got screwed over as sith always do, and it's hard to forgive. But it really is a waste when knowledge gets lost."

He pushed the door to see if it would just open.

OOC: Spending a Destiny point for something awesome to happen for Jo'ren.

The door slides open easily and as Jo’ren searches around he finds something peculiar, a necklace made of featureless white beads, each orb about a centimeter in size. The spirit says, “I do not know if that will serve you but it focuses the mind for deep meditation.

OOC: Necklace of the Forgotten Master – Grants 2 additional strain threshold for the user increased to 4 strain if a Light Side Paragon.

Shaisha observes as Jo'ren finds a trinket... means he got at least what he came here for.

"Seeing as you are stuck here," she turns to the spirit, "I would like to return here in the future to learn more of what you know. So that your knowledge does not go to waste, jedi."

[Dapper Dog]

"If you feel it may be of value to you, Sith," she offers.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"There is no ignorance, there is knowledge, right?" she cracks a brief smile. "There are some things I want to know more about... like the aforementioned damage to one's connection to the Force, and similar topics... but such would require more time."

[Dapper Dog]

“I have no issues sharing my knowledge I just do not feel it will benefit you as you believe it will without a proper attunement to the light,” she clarifies.

“The damage you have suffered is not easily fixed and any methods I know will be via channeling the Light side of the Force.”

[Jo'ren Rath]

He looked at the beads in confusion for a few moments, it was not what he had been expecting. "Um. Huh, okay then. Thanks I guess." He looked at them more closely, feeling their attachment to the force.

He put them into his utility belt and turned back to the force spirit. "Why do you think the light would serve any better than the dark? I mean, you say you excited yourself to dig into the force and learn more. Both are part of the whole, so why should one be favoured over the other?"

[Dapper Dog]

"She was wounded by the dark side, the light side can aid her recovery. I have not studied the dark so I do not know if it is possible if it is then that knowledge is beyond me," she says honestly.

[Jo'ren Rath]

He nodded. "A...friend? Claims to have healed a wound in the force before. She's a Sith though so I doubt she channeled the light. Each has its place though I suppose."

He shrugged and continued looking around, wondering if her body was here somewhere.

Jo'ren's comment did earn a raised eyebrow.

"What would be required of me for such a ritual, if we were to attempt it?"
