The droid relays that and the alien says through the droid, "We have nothing but the gift of life given to us from the Master."

[Thy Yulani]

Thy says, "Wait... the Revan?"

[Jo'ren Rath]

"The gift of life? Tell me more." He looked at Thy and smirked. "Yeah. The Revan."

[Thy Yulani]

“Well damn… these people don’t seem to have much, you’re not going to hurt them are you?” she says with concern.

[Jo'ren Rath]

"Why would I hurt them? Seems to me like they need to get the hell out of here Thy. What is this, a hanger?"

[Thy Yulani]

"I mean it's not fancy but it is their home," Thy counters looking around at the rather sparse accommodations.

[Jo'ren Rath]

Joan looked at her and put a hand up to talk behind it. "Look Thy, I don't know if anyone has told you this, I mean, who actually gets honest with a Jedi? Anyway, brace yourself: Nar Shaddaa.... It's a shit hole. Like, anywhere's better than here."

[Dapper Dog]

Thy rolls her eyes and says, “Yeah it’s not the best here but I don’t want to force anything unless they agree to it. So be nice, Jo’ren.”

The alien uses the droid to translate and says, “If from the Master we can show you the Seed of Life.”

[Jo'ren Rath]

"Thy, you're talking to the guy who saved your fine ass." Jo'ren tapped his chest "Yes, from the master. Revan. Show me the 'Seed of Life', Mr Roboto."

[Dapper Dog]

The aliens lead the duo deeper into their structure where many groups of them look in wonder at the stranger. In a large central chamber there is a floating device pulsing with energy, it is spherical with many technological protusions and also resonates with the Force like a nexus of energy.

Thy whistles and says, "Well that is fancy."

[Jo'ren Rath]

"This is what Revan left a trail for me to find." The Sith's voice was full of awe as he gazed on the device. He turned and smiled at Thy. "Sure is."

His gaze returned to the machine for a minute, watching it in silence. "So. You called this the Seed of Life? Tell me friend: what does it do exactly?"

(OOC: I would try to Sense it if allowed, no worries though since it's a D7 thread)

[Dapper Dog]

"It provides us with power... food and anything else we need in time," the alien says through the droid.

"We would not have survived so long without it. The Master left it with us and we are thankful for it. We can give you a part though it will take much time to grow, but grow it will."

[Jo'ren Rath]

He nodded as the weird alien described the Seed of Life. It had to be connected to the Star Forge. Jo'ren looked at Thy and looked at the aliens and their droids. If he tried to take the whole thing by force he wouldn't make it far. Even Thy's tolerance of him had its limits.

Still, a piece of a Star Forge! There was power here if he could figure out how to use it.

"The Master left this for me to find...but he also left it with you. I accept your gift." He paused and then added. "What of your people? Do you wish to stay here? I could find you a place somewhere better than Nar Shaddaa. We could work together. Perhaps that was also part of Revan's plan?"

[Dapper Dog]

The alien seems confused and replies through the droid, "But this is our paradise, we want for nothing. It is good life."

"Why leave?"

[Jo'ren Rath]

"To see the Galaxy beyond these walls. How could you not want to journey to distant worlds? Don't you get bored here? I'm sure Revan didn't intend for you to be stuck here." He looked at them with a degree of surprise.

[Dapper Dog]

The aliens look at him with equal confusion and the droid relays his words, "We have all we need."

[Jo'ren Rath]

Jo'ren shrugged. "I guess we're lost in translation then. Well, if you're happy here, good luck to you. Anything you can tell me about how this Seed of Life works?"

[Dapper Dog]

The alien offers a long explanation rich with metaphor and quasi religious interpretation and light on any actual details that make sense or matter. It seems it just works and he is regurgitating information he was fed all his life without really understanding what he is being told.

[Jo'ren Rath]

Jo'ren nodded along and thanked the alien via the droid, all the while thinking he'd just figure it out himself.

"Alright, sounds good. What was your name again? You said you could give me a piece of it. How would that work?"

[Dapper Dog]

"I am the Speaker," the droid translates.

The alien walks over to the seed and removes a small piece, no bigger than Jo'ren's thumb and hands it to him.

[Jo'ren Rath]

"The Speaker. Right. I'm Jo'ren Rath." He nodded and watched as the alien moved over to the Seed of Life, as he called it.

He accepted the piece, looking a little bewildered, and lifted it up to his face to take a closer look.

"Wow, you weren't kidding Speaker." He looked from the thing he was holding to the machine it had been removed from and back. "So in three hundred years it'll be that big? Well maybe I can speed it up... Thanks."

He reached out with the force to Sense the thing in his hand.

[Dapper Dog]

It it is a knot in the force, and seems to be pulling ambient force energy from all around though not as forcefully as the larger seed.

[Jo'ren Rath]

"Huh, that's interesting." He was lost in thought a few moments then returned to look at the aliens.

"Revan led me here. I will return to check on you." He held up the fragment and then placed it in his belt. "We are connected now Speaker."

His gaze went back to Thy. "Okay, time to go gorgeous."

[Thy Yulani]

Thy blushes and follows and once out of sight of the aliens says, “You’re an idiot… Darth Nice Guy. So is that what you came here for? Looks fancy, do you know what it does?”

“The Speaker kind of lost me awhile ago.”

[Jo'ren Rath]

"No, I just have good taste in women. Even Kalen thinks so." He chuckled and patted the pocket he had placed the Seed into.

"This is what I came for, yeah. I'm not exactly sure what it does, the Speaker was repeating shit by rote, but I think it kept those aliens alive down here for 300 years." He shrugged. "It's going to be fun figuring out how it works. Maybe it'll work differently for me. All they wanted was to live and look after Revan's gift."
