After Syvlain had completed his discussion with his master, he had sent a message to his mother via the secured comm that she was supposed to keep on herself.

Mother,
Must discuss an urgent matter as soon as you are able. Please contact me.

He pulled up a chair to his desk and began to look over the intelligence dossier that was provided to him on the other members of the Republic delegation in preparation for the meal he was going to spend with them in the afternoon.

[Dapper Dog]

There is a reply after about ten minutes:

Is everything okay son? Love mom.

[Sylvain Torsin]

He replies back:

A bit of information has come to light that concerns the family. Can you talk?

[Dapper Dog]

Another message:

Well that sounds ominous, have you spoken to Shai-shai? love mom.

[Sylvain Torsin]

He tilted his head slightly and replied:

I just spoke with her. She didn't want to tell me, but I got it out of her that you're on the moon?

[Dapper Dog]

Another reply:

Not very good at keeping secrets is she, it was a chance meeting. I didn't even know you were here. Anyway, you said there was news? love mom.

[Sylvain Torsin]

Can we talk? I despise texting... especially if the information is important.

A reply after a moment:

Yes I have some time. love mom.

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain pressed the proper button to call her and stood in front of the holo camera with his hands behind his back and a slight smile on his lips.

[Dapper Dog]

Raven appears as serene as ever and she smiles at her son. She says, “Handsome as ever, I still remember when you could barely stand and now you are here leading the Sith in peace talks.”

[Sylvain Torsin]

He smiled and chuckled, "Leading? It appears my mother has a bad case of 'that's my boy' Syndrome. I'm just here doing my duties mother."

He tilted his head slightly, "It's good to see you again mother. You've been away for some time now. When I moved back to Dromund Kaas I thought we'd have some time together..."

[Dapper Dog]

“I needed to get out of the house, it’s not the same and I wanted to do some good. I figured you were old enough and more importantly busy enough not to miss your mother. You have very important things you are doing,” she says proudly.

“I wanted you to be your own man. You have not disappointed in that regard.”

[Sylvain Torsin]

"Thank you mother." He smiled.

"It is precisely about your recent travels that I wish to discuss with you. I have come across a strange bit of intelligence as a result of a former operative of father's..."

[Dapper Dog]

"I don't think I understand," she says with confusion.

[Sylvain Torsin]

"There was a dark-skinned Zabrak who confronted you during your mission on Ziost almost a year ago. When he died, information on the location of data he had collected on you was communicated to me on Korriban. It so happens that the data he collected was stowed away here on Nar Shaddaa. It was rather surprising to find out a great deal about my mother that I had never known before."

Sylvain paused and looked to his mother intently, eyes searching for the truth.

[Dapper Dog]

The screen darkens and then refocuses and she says, “I was wondering where that wretched alien came from. He ruined a rather interesting encounter with the Serasai matriarch. I never really liked them, they were… insufferable.”

“Your affection for their plain daughter was always a disappointment.”

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain responded with pressed lips and a reserved reaction, "You've certainly gone to great lengths to make your disappointment clear..."

He looked at the image of the woman now in front of him, unable to truly understand who this person was despite having spent his entire young life in her presence.

"So... mother... I'm not sure even where to begin. Who even are you? I have little idea how to react to anything you can or would say."

[Dapper Dog]

“I am your mother.”

She then adds, “I am Sith as well, or least trained as such but denied any of the trappings of power or influence that comes with it. I was a hidden sword and now I have broken my chains. I would have come to you sooner but my own ill-thought plans had you bound to a master not worthy of allegiance.”

“I should have known you would be resourceful enough to deduce the truth. Your are my son, after all.”

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain looked at the woman who had raised him and shook his head in confusion, "Were you not loyal to this same master for many years now?"

He looked at the woman with the confused, searching eyes of a child, "What is it you are after then mother? What are your ill-thought plans?"

[Dapper Dog]

“To destroy Baras, if I take down the Empire with him, collateral damage is acceptable,” she replies.

[Sylvain Torsin]

"For what purpose?" He asked. "You helped him get to where he is..."

[Dapper Dog]

“Because I believed he would do the same for you, but he will never fully trust you. He will use you and then throw you away. I want more than that for my son,” she counters.

“It is almost over, and then you can take your place at my side, as it should have been from the beginning.”

[Sylvain Torsin]

"What is almost over mother?" He asked.

[Dapper Dog]

“The conflict with Baras, it is in the end game. Join me and we can rid the galaxy of his lies. You and I can make the Empire whatever we want it to be. If we even choose to serve it. We would be free, there would be no chains upon us,” she says revealing a smile.

[Sylvain Torsin]

"The Empire is my life mother. It's needs surpass my own. I have retained your passion, your ability with the force, and your unrelenting will... but in many ways I am also my father's son. This talk of freedom and individuality is too philosophical... I am a details man mother. How do you intend to destroy Baras? What is your plan? And this talk of destroying the Empire... you will need to explain yourself more clearly before I can consider what you are offering."
