Day 2 LA: The Hutt's gardener

Joly shit! The ride here had not been easy!

Baes panted hard as she reached the Hutt's mansion. The whole mandalorians affair almost made her late!

"Hi! I am Padawan Zyn, I have an appointement."

[Dapper Dog]

A droid says, “Oh yes, please come in can I bring you some water? Tea? My master will be along shortly.”

The interior was lush with many plants and a natural motif that clashed with the neon holo signs just right outside the windows. She could hear two people singing… or whistling perhaps but on a register that seemed improbably for most humanoids.

[Baesal Zyn]

''Oh! Thank you! Water would be appreciated.'' she replied to the droid with a courteous nod, observing the beautiful decor.

''I'll admit, that's classy''

[Dapper Dog]

“Why thank you, my Master appreciates the aesthetic appeal of nature,” the droid says.

A plump but short huttling eases his way into the hallway and says in Huttese in a soft voice, “You must be the Jedi, Baesal, please come in. I was just having a relaxing read. How can this humble one help you?”

[Baesal Zyn]

''You are correct, I am Baesal Zyn.'' she said, all smiles. She followed up with a traditionnal togrutan curtsy. ''It is a pleasure to meet you''

''I am sorry to interrupt your read but I hope I will not bother you for long. I am here to ask about a plant that I suspect used to grow in this sector.''

[Dapper Dog]

"Oh, what kind of plant?" the huttling asks.

[Baesal Zyn]

Baesal takes out a picture of the beautiful plant and hands it to the hutt

''I do not know its name, sadly, but its hue is quite admirable.''

[Dapper Dog]

The huttling looks at the picture and says, "Well this is interesting, it seems related to this." She slithers over to a plant that looks similar but does not resonate with the force.

"Perhaps this is some rare offshoot, I have not seen one personally but this is intriguing. Look in the small details here," the huttling gestures at the picture. "This is quite the find. Could I see it? I would need a cutting to learn more."

Baesal follows the gardener and inspects the plant

''Yes...it *is* similar'' she scratched her chin ''Master Thun was right: you are quite brilliant in your field''

She frowns thinking

''Where does this one come from?''

[Dapper Dog]

"I found this variety on Nal Hutta, deep in the swamps, it was a rather lucky find it would not have survived long in that polluted environment," she responds.

[Baesal Zyn]

''I suppose so''

She examined the plant

''Can you tell me a more precise location or the ecology of the place? If I use the Force once on location I might be guided to either of these specimen''

[Dapper Dog]

"Just a moment, I need to check my notes. Are you an explorer by hobby?" she asks as she looks at her computer.

[Baesal Zyn]

"More or less" she replies honestly "I'm mostly gearhead but I would lie if I said that I did not enjoy the thrill of discovery."

She looked over the the decor once more

"Getting to see various aspect of the galaxy is a great boon"

[Dapper Dog]

"I am not much of an explorer, most of my samples were found in the field, but I don't like to court danger," the huttling responds.

[Baesal Zyn]

''I understand. Its often hard for a scholar to get what she needs.''

She crossed her hands behind her back

''How long have you been interested in botany madame?''

[Dapper Dog]

"Long time, much longer than I am sure you have been alive. I enjoy the pursuit of science, we Hutts have great scientists you know," she says providing the padawan the coordinates and information.

[Baesal Zyn]

"I don't doubt it!'' she seemed quite appreciative

''Ah! thank you.'' She said looking at the coordinates.

''Like I said, I'm mostly good at computing and engineering but I hope to expend into earth sciences as well soon''

[Dapper Dog]

"Oh?" the huttling falls into more academic conversation with the Jedi...
