Ride of the Valkyries Part 2 [D1 LM]

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington puts his datapad away. "May I ask why you are interested in playing Hutt Ball by the way? I'll be honest. I want to become a rich and famous pro Hutt Ball player. Or at least for a little bit." He grins at that.

[Arsele Girard]

"Am I supposed to have a reason besides money and fame?" she asks, tilting her head curiously.

[Remmington Thalalas]

"Not if you don't want to. Nothing wrong with that goal at all." Remmington replies with a light laugh.

"Are you a familiar with Nar Shaddaa by the way?" He asks.

[Arsele Girard]

"A bit; Lived here fifteen months now, give or take. So I know my way around at least."

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington nods. "What do you think of Nar Shaddaa? How does it compare to... Alderaan or any other places you may have been?"

[Arsele Girard]

"To Alderaan?"

That got a chuckle out of her, fingers drifting towards her lips, "Like night and day; How does one compare a world choked with darkness and death to one vibrant with light and life? Still, at least people are honest about being scum here, rather than hide it behind smiles and deep in gardens..."

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington nods. "Sounds rough. So Alderaan is quite beautiful then? Too bad I can't ever go visit there."

"Hmm... I guess scum is scum no matter where you are and who you are."

[Arsele Girard]

"Never? Hm. That's a pessimistic way to look at it."

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington smiles. "Well if I ever get the chance. I hope you can recommend some good places to me. I would prefer a tour if you are available and up for it but I understand if you are busy."

[Arsele Girard]

She chuckled in response, "You are a strange one; Going straight from saying you'll never get to go there to having a personal tour from a very in-demand woman."

[Remmington Thalalas]

"Well I figure if I am going to do something to go big. Or at least in this case." Remmington chuckles.

"Maybe I just want to monopolize a very in-demand woman all to myself." He flashes a grin.

[Arsele Girard]

A little sharp exhale of breath from her nose, "Well, good luck with that I suppose. Do you have everyone and everything you need for the game tonight?"

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington thinks about that for a moment. "Hmm.. maybe? I'm going to be meeting with some other people after this. So I guess we'll see how it goes. You are coming too right?" He asks.

[Arsele Girard]

"I've played Huttball before; Having an actual team might be nice though, rather than dreg league stuff. So, yes; You can count on it."

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington smiles. "Great! It will be nice to have you on the team lady Girard. Or do you prefer something else?"

[Arsele Girard]

A dry laugh, "I'm no lady, Mister Thalalas, but I certainly don't mind you calling me one."

[Remmington Thalalas]

"Please just Remmington, Remmy, or Rem is fine. I will just stick with lady Arsele then." He smiles coyly back at her remark.

"May I ask how you got into those various lines of work? I can probably get 1 or 2 of them but I'm not sure how the others factor in." He takes a sip of his drink.

[Arsele Girard]

"Which one or two do you think you can get, hm?"

[Remmington Thalalas]

"I'm guessing lounge singer and dancer are related to your earlier comment about nobles."

[Arsele Girard]

"What comment was that?"

She honestly couldn't remember.

"They are related to my upbringing in a way though, yes; I was trained in classical Alderaanian ballet and had voice lessons. Though I imagine my teacher would be mollified to see what I've been doing with those lessons."

[Remmington Thalalas]

"The part about nobles being scum who aren't honest about it." Remmington clarifies.

He nods at the ballet. "I can see that. Well perhaps but it is your life to live right? As long as you are surviving and enjoying it then it doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks."

[Arsele Girard]

"Everyone can live their own life as they choose, sure. Just remember, everyone owes something to at least one person."

Arsele stopped leaning on the table, "For now... think I'll head . Got some prep work to do."

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington nods. "Take care then. I'll see you later at the game lady Arsele. I look forward to conversing with you more later."

He stands up to at least give her a parting farewell.

[Arsele Girard]

A smile, a tip of her head, and the blonde woman was off.

His meal arrives after and Remmington quietly eats while he looks over some information on his datapad.
