That same young man, who was being beaten, stabs a vibro-blade through a retreating nikto and then levels it at the Sith, "Stay back Sith... I don't know what you are doing here... but I won't let you kill these people."

An older twi'lek male says,"Calm down Daz, this Sith does not seem like they want to kill us."

Daz does not seem convinced.

[Layne Hoshin]

"I am not here for you," she says, lightsabers turning off. She was not afraid of the young man's blade, but had no need to keep fighting. "Your presence was unexpected."

She looked toward what they were excavating, and then to the twi'lek. "Did they tell you what you were doing here?"

[Dapper Dog]

"No, they simply told us to dig," he taps the slave collar and adds, "Questions cause pain."

Daz frowns and adds, "Whatever they had us digging, feels wrong."

[Layne Hoshin]

"That is why I'm here," she said, once more looking toward the dig site, then back to the slaves, and those collars.

"What will you do now? I could probably get rid of those collars for you."

What the hell, she was feeling generous. Although part of it was that she knew the whole 'healing a force wound' thing required compassion and the like. This was just getting into character. Yeah, that's all it was...

[Dapper Dog]

"We won;t get far with these collars," Daz says.

The older twi'lek adds, "Far enough if we take their ship. Maybe at least out of system, then we can figure things out."

The young man asks, "So what did they have us diggin', Sith?"

[Layne Hoshin]

"A place of power, it has no meaning to you."

She turned to the twi'lek. "I have had a really bad day so far. I need to salvage it somehow. Selling that ship would more than make up for it, but I'm not unsympathetic. I'm sure they have enough of value on there to see me satisfied and still leave enough for you to sell and survive."

Layne turned to the dig site then.

"I'm going to investigate that place," she said with a nod of her head in its direction. "In the meantime, why don't you guys go and take stock of the valuables these guys left behind, and when I return from my business, I will get rid of those collars."


[Spending a destiny for a favorable outcome]

[Dapper Dog]

The slave nods, "We'll see what we can find, it's not much of a transport. " He gestures and the others follow him to see what they can salvage.

Daz says, "Place of Power huh, what's that mean?"

[Layne Hoshin]

"It's a place of the Dark side, you would not understand."

And then she headed for the site; and the place where the 'wound' was most likely to be.

[Dapper Dog]

Daz follows, "Is this a Sith thing? You going to do evil sacrifices down there?"

[Layne Hoshin]

"No," she sighed, wondering if perhaps she'd made a mistake saving this one, "I'm going to fix it."

She kept heading toward the site.

[Dapper Dog]

"That's totally wiz," the kid says as he follows.

"Is it hard to use that lightsaber?"

[Layne Hoshin]

"Yes," she said with another sigh and stopped.

What the hell is with this guy?

"Listen, this is probably going to take some concentration, so maybe you can give me some space to work with here?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Why?" Daz asks.

[Layne Hoshin]

"Really?"

This was a test. It had to be some test, right? A test in patience.

"Look kid," she told the guy who was probably around her age, "I can answer your questions when I get this done, but for now I need some alone time. Meditation to get into touch with the force isn't a group activity."

[Dapper Dog]

"What you can't do your magic unless everyone is quiet?" He counters.

"I'm going in, I don't trust you. I've seen Sith on the vids. You are all evil. Jedi are totally wiz."

[Layne Hoshin]

"I just saved your ass from a beating," she countered.

"But fine, whatever, go in then if you're so insistent. Just stay out of my way."

[Dapper Dog]

"Just part of your evil Sith plan," he counters following her.

"You got a name, Darth Evil?"

[Layne Hoshin]

"Layne Hoshin," she answered simply.

If this turned out to be a bust, she could always just kill him later.

[Dapper Dog]

"I don't get your aura man... you're like all rage but your like trying to heal wounds, you're a weird Sith, you're not all blacks and red... you're weird," he says following along.

"That's why I don't trust you."

[Layne Hoshin]

"Aura? My aura is just fine."

Probably just a figure of speech, she decided for the moment.

"And if I'm a threat to you, there's nothing you can do to stop me anyway, so your trust is kind of irrelevant."

Presumably they'd reached the dig site by now; and as she looked for some sort of entrance to a cave, or temple, or what not, Layne continued; "Besides, you're kind of the weird one for risking a Sith's wrath with all this talk."

[Dapper Dog]

"What are you gonna do stab me?" Daz says.

[Layne Hoshin]

"That would be an exceptionally easy thing to do," she said, then switched track. "Where's the entrance?"

[Dapper Dog]

"You're a Sith you can't feel it?" Daz counters.

"A Jedi could."

[Dapper Dog]

OOC: The wound is near Knowledge Lore check plus Force die, Daz can help offering another Force die snd a boost die at Average difficulty.

[Layne Hoshin]

He was a force sensitive... maybe even a captured Jedi? That was... unexpected. It would explain his curiosity though. And his wariness after being saved. She narrowed her eyes at him for a moment, then closed them and allowed the force to touch her.
