[Dapper Dog]

She can feel the wound close... and there os a feeling of peace.

Daz says, "So is that why you came here?"

[Layne Hoshin]

It was that same feeling of connectedness, of touching upon the force and being one with all things. The lightside. Peace. Calm. A reprieve from the chaos that soon returned inside of her. When the feeling had passed, and Daz began to question her again, she opened her eyes.

"I needed to feel that again, to test myself."

There was silence, and then she turned to him proper.

"Who are you? Really?"

[Dapper Dog]

"The name is Daz, I thought I told you this," he says.

"I have always been special, it's just in my blood they say. Never much knew my family, if I had one. I like to tell people I just showed up, makes me sound cool," he says proud of his tale.

OOC: Layne gains 7 conflict.

[Layne Hoshin]

"What world are you from though," she asked as she stood up; slowly heading back to the others and hoping like hell this annoying kid wasn't who gramma massasi had been talking about.

[Dapper Dog]

"Does it matter? They didn't want me there, or else I would not be here with a slave collar," he says following.

"Where are you from, Sith?"

[Layne Hoshin]

"Kabaira, then around, then Kessel."

Even the stupidest slave would've been able to infer what that likely meant.

[Dapper Dog]

"How'd you become Sith then, those don;t sound like Imperial places... not that I actually know what Imp places sound like," he responds.

[Layne Hoshin]

She stopped for a moment again.

"What. You've never heard of Kessel? Never mind," she said and started walking again. "Someone noticed I had an affinity for the force.... like you do."

[Dapper Dog]

"And then?" he says following along.

"You became a Sith jerk and went around murdering people or something? Did you have to kick a puppy or kill babies to get your lightsaber?"

[Layne Hoshin]

"Something like that. We can't all be lucky enough to stay enslaved with nothing to do that's more morally taxing than carrying rocks around. For some of us, it's kill or be killed."

[Dapper Dog]

"Oh you had it so hard," the kid mocks.

[Layne Hoshin]

"You have no fucking idea what I've been through, kid."

She resisted the urge to slap the shit out of him, and instead called out to the other slaves. Ideally the reasonable twi'lek.

"Find anything?"

[Dapper Dog]

The twi'lek nods and leads Layne over to crates of rations, water, some crates for tents and a crate of spice. He says, "This all we could find the ship took some damage from your ship I suspect. You get what you needed done?"

Daz adds, "Yeah we did stuff, she needed my help of course."

[Layne Hoshin]

She looked over at Daz for a moment, then back to the Twi'lek. "He's not giving me any straight answers. You know any more about this kid?"

At the same time, she started looking at the slave collars. She assumed she could just burn them off with a lightsaber or something.

((would Layne be able to guess how much the spice is worth?))

[Dapper Dog]

Yeah the slaves have armed themselves with the weapons. The twi'lek shrugs and says, "I've only known Daz since we got bought. Good kid if a bit hard-headed."

Daz pops his collar off and says, "These are easy to get off once you can short the holding mechanism. So Sith, where we headed?"

[Layne Hoshin]

Great. She rubbed the side of her temple as she thought it over.

"I'm taking the spice. You guys can have the ship and the rest and go wherever. I suggest somewhere far away from here, where slavery is illegal."

She then turned back to Daz. "I'll probably end up regretting this, but you can come with me."

[Dapper Dog]

Daz grins and says, "That's totally wiz, let's fly."
