"I'm not being hired as a Jedi. I'm also probably not the best example of a Jedi." Ashla shrugs.

"I was unaware Jedi took vacations," she said with an amused tone.

Ashla shrugs. She wanted to say something witty and offer a counter-retort. But it occurred to her, she doesn't know if Jedi get vacations.

That amused the Imperial turned Sith a fair deal enough that she seemed to lighten up, slightly. Jedi may have been hated enemy of the Sith but, well, this particular one didn't seem like she was about to go spouting rhetoric or cutting down her friends anytime soon. With that assured, she could allow herself to relax... slightly.

"Then, if you are not being hired as a Jedi, what is your line of work?" she asked after a moment.

Ashla still has concerns about letting anything slip. For all she knows, this is a test. "A fair number of things. I've done smuggling, robbery, medicine, prostitution, some light hacking, general destruction of evidence," Ashla thinks for a moment. "Probably some other stuff. I lived a colorful life before becoming a Jedi."

"Clearly," she says in that heavy Imperial accent.

"Well, I am sure I will shortly see how well you perform, Jedi."

[Ashla Vyliis]

Ashla nods. "I'm looking forward to it." She smiles. She is excited, not realizing how far out of her depths the surgery actually is.

From that point forward, unless Ashla brought up something. Kristal was content with riding out the rest of the trip without too much of note.
