Aphr looked to Moyr, watching her deal with this insufferable woman. She considered what to say, before speaking.

"It is freedom to be who you want to be" she said simply

"That's it? Don't be boring tell me how it makes you feel. How it guides you. How it makes you strong," she says moving over the muun.

"How you indulge your dark nature."

"You speak as if freedom doesn't make someone strong, when they've spent most of their life enslaved. Indulging? I cannot say I truly have yet" she said honestly

"You should, it is very freeing to divorce yourself from the petty morality of lesser beings," she says.

"Murder someone, kill someone in cold blood. Take their life and be the last thing they see for no other reason than you can," she commands.

A small frown as she looked at Moyr for a few moments before turning back to Zhorrid. "Killing without purpose is wasteful."

"To who? People of no value have no purpose," she says.

Moyr steeled herself to remain composed, redirecting her anger to the promise of future vengeance.

The girl stood, eyes wide open, surprised by the sudden display of...affection? She nodded at her words, to show she had at least acknowledged her words.

She smiles and says, "Think of me as your mother, I can be affectionate when pleased... or cruelty defined when defied."

"Just like my mother."

"I will bear that in mind" Aphr nodded with her trademark sweet smile back as she took a step back once released "thank you."

Moyr, surprised by the turn, though in hindsight she probably shouldn't have been, shifted weight on her legs uncomfortably. It was Zhorrid's intention, no doubt, to drive a wedge there, and she had succeeded. But the Lethan didn't interrupt.

Zhorrid smiles and takes a seat and says "Before you go, I have something for you, my little one."

She holds out the dagger and points to the muun woman, "Inside is a little treasure just for you. Open it up."

Ew.

Aphr counted cutting a muun up for treasure as ranking among her least favourite things to do at night, but it meant Moyr wasn't being shouted at, and Zhorrid wasn't threatening to kill her.

Plus the woman was dead already.

She nodded, accepting the knife and going to cut the body open.

[Dapper Dog]

Zhorrid smiles as she sees the woman has been cut and then sealed up already and with some… bloody work she pulls out a red crystal lodged just under what she thinks were the lungs. Zhorrid says, “Do you know what is?”

The crystal seems to resonate in the force, darkness swirls around it. It seems familiar and yet there is growing dread as she looks into the crimson depths of the crystal.

Aphr pushed quite a few thoughts from her mind about that - she didn't want to know how the gem got there. Plus the gem...

Ahpr shook her head. "I haven't seen this gem before" there is no way ai could forget it "what is it?"

"It is a focus for the dark side, a crimson crystal you will use to create your first lightsaber, should you prove yourself in my service," she says with a wicked grin.

"There are benefits to my tutelage, if you obey."

[Moyr Ahaya]

"This is how I got my crystal too, by gutting."

Moyr bowed her head to Zhorrid, smiling.

"Nice touch, my lord."

It does feel dark.... Aphr nodded, a polite smile at that. "Thank you for this, it is very thoughtful and will be extremely useful."
