Makeover! (D3, ME)

[Kristal Serasai]

"I feel alright, do I look alright?" she asked, turning so she was facing another angle.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"You look beautiful, Kris. You always look beauitful, but when you feel comfortable, it gives you that little extra," she said, her smile warm and friendly.

"Never be uncomfortable about who you are and how you look. Or let others make you doubt yourself. I know, I know, you hide it well, but you have nothing to be ashamed of. Nothing." Stepping closer to her friend, Shaisha's hand gently touched Kristal's chin to lift it slightly.

Shaisha's touch brought her chin up a little higher, a little more proudly and put a light smile on her expression.

"Between you and Sylvain one would expect that I would have the largest ego in the sector," she joked with another light smile. "And, I wonder sometimes where I would be if it were not for you two."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"You could stand to have a little more ego sometimes. Borrow some of Syl's," Shaisha teased. "Just as we often wonder where we'd be without you, you know. Our friendship is more than just childhood memories and connections - the three of us have always made eachother stronger, and better. It's why I know the Jedi's doctrine is absolute bantha dung."

[Kristal Serasai]

"Which is precisely why we three will be able to overcome whatever challenges plague your mind," she said directly as she turned to her friend. Giving her a reassuring look, one supported by the woman's inner strength.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

Kristal directing the topic to her instead did make her smile change a little in surprise, but she gave a reassuring nod. "We will. Once we deal with the more imminent problem."

Her mood darkening a little, Shaisha glanced away for a moment before looking back at Kristal. "I think what dwells most on my mind about it these days, is if I should talk to my father about it... I mean, maybe knows it too, having served the Emperor for so long?"

But would he then be my enemy or my ally? she thought, recalling what he had said to her on Korriban. Will you stand against me? She had said no then, but could she hold that promise?

[Kristal Serasai]

Emboldened by her own parental dealings this morning Kristal had one solid opinion on that.

"You won't know until you try, take everything else away and he is still your Father," she said, thinking to herself, Right?

[Shaisha Vreysk]

Shaisha nodded a little. "You're right. Maybe I should..." At least Kristal's words helped to put her mind a little more at ease.

"... Speaking of parents... how is your mother doing?"

[Kristal Serasai]

"Alive," she said confidently but it was clear that wasn't the whole truth. Assured no one was in earshot, because if they were she'd probably smash their face in for eavesdropping in the woman's changing area, she allowed herself to speak the truth.

"Hurting, in her own way. What has happened to my Family has been no easier on her, but she's working on it. Trying to stay ahead."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"She's a strong woman," Shaisha nodded, keeping the tone low. "I still mean what I said yesterday; anything you or your mother need, I will give what help I can."

[Kristal Serasai]

"I know Shaisha," she said, placing a hand on her friends shoulder. "I will be certain to keep that in mind. With all the promises of helping me, however, I find that you and Sylvain may forget I am here for you both as well. Do not hesitate to call upon me when you need it."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"I'm already asking much of both of you with what we talked about yesterday," she chuckled slightly and returned the gesture of placing a hand on Kristal's shoulder. "So don't worry about that."

And she still felt she had to make up for being largely responsible for Kristal's family being torn apart so.

"Do you want any nice matching gloves to go with that outfit, perhaps?"

[Kristal Serasai]

"In a more practical manner, Shaisha," she said. "I can put my effort or thought to anything but if you need me at your side. You know to ask?"

Without missing a step she also went on to say more.

"This one can make due," she said, raising her left hand. "However, if you had something in mind?"

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"I know," she nodded, resolved to not stand alone in this challenge.

"Hm... well, shimmersilk party gloves don't really seem your style, but leather gloves don't really fit in with the sleek look here, eh?"

[Kristal Serasai]

"That would appear so," she commented. Pulling the glove from her hand to show the make of her sleek Imperial made cybernetics. "It would also have to conceal the nature of my hand, otherwise I do not see the point."

"Something I am almost certain shimmersilk will fail to manage."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Hm, probably true... perhaps we could see if we could get you something more custom made from some other material, for you to wear for formal occassions. Or date nights." She grinned a little smugly at that.

"Mostly just glad you and Syl are speaking again. Yesterday, it felt like old times."

[Kristal Serasai]

"It is something to look into, if I find myself with the need for it often," she said to the first portion.

Dampening her mood a little when it got to that topic, she looked up to Shaisha and said, "Quite the actress I have become then?"

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"You've always been skilled at masking your feelings." She tilted her head slightly to the side.

"Wanna talk about it?"

[Kristal Serasai]

"Every-time I look at him, talk to him, it still hurts Shaisha," she admits. Quieter as if speaking of actual sensitive information."That is both the long and short of it."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Hm," Shaisha nodded, understanding the feeling Kristal was speaking of.

"... And what about me? Is it the same?"

[Kristal Serasai]

"You made an honest mistake with consequences you could not control," she said decidedly.

"It is not the same, but it does feel different. Like you are... farther away," she said, trying to grasp the idea of how it felt herself

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Farther away...?" a ridged eyebrow perked up at that. "You mean, that my actions did not his so close to home as his did? I can see that..."

She sighed a little. "You don't have to give him anything you don't want. Just because he's the first guy you've been with doesn't make him the one, or just because you like eachother doesn't mean you're meant to be together... my parents went their separate ways, and if not for me, I doubt they would have been more than one-time lovers... at least that is often the impression I got. I could be wrong."

"Thing is, you're not in a rush to find 'true love' or anything. But what you are... is allowed to have fun. Enjoy your youth and all."

[Kristal Serasai]

Kristal chuckled a little at that, and said, "I appreciate what you are trying, Shaisha but it is not the case." Pausing she tried to find the words on how to better describe herself but she couldn't really.

"I do not know where Sylvain and I will be in the end, not yet, but I know he has been the only one that I have ever let in," she said, leaving Shaisha to piece together why finding anyone else would be difficult.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"I think I understand. Well, kinda," she chuckled softly too. "I mean, I don't have anyone like that - you and Syl, you're the only ones I've let in. Like, really let in. So I guess that is my closest comparison. Not sure how, or if, I could handle a broken promise like that."

She nervously nibbled on her lip. "I mean... it hurt too when it looked like he wanted her instead of us; but... even then, I couldn't bring myself to hurt him."

[Kristal Serasai]

"I would not want to think of a world where I could bring myself to hurt either of you," she commented on that thought.

As far as handling the broken promise Kristal didn't need to comment. It was clear in her subtlest of expressions she had little idea of how to handle it herself. It was, after all, the source of all of her worries for the past while and the pit in her stomach when thinking of just later this evening.
