I Need Some Stuff Shipped....or Whatever (MM D2 Closed)

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane visited the Hyper Lance Industries, making a point to look like she was on business from the Foreign Office. She wore the tailored suit of a government official and carried a datapad out in the open. Hopefully anyone that saw here and didn't know what HLI actually did would think she was some government inspector....and anyone that did know what HLI did would assume she was doing so courier work for the Foreign Office.

Standing in the lobby she quietly gave the coded signal to request a meeting with Agent Wren to one of the receptionists.

[Dapper Dog]

The droid at the front desk nods and directs her to the staff elevator.

She gives the droid a nod and steps into the elevator.

[Agent Wren Yuris]

Agent Wren is waiting for her at the top. The room is a large open area with several consoles and a few agents listening or analyzing data. She is leaning against a console in the center of the room and says, “Welcome, Thy called ahead. So you’re looking for info on Darth Baras?”

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Agent Yuris, I presume." Yslane smiled, "My name is Yslane Tssilla....though I assume you know from speaking to Master Yulani."

She nods, "An informant passed me information that Baras maybe working to undermine the talks....and could be plotting to kill a Senator. I'm not sure how truthful all of this is, part of me wonders if it isn't some Sith plot to have us disposal of a rival."

"The informant also mentioned a Layne in connection with Baras."

[Agent Wren Yuris]

"Serious but sketchy. You trust the informant?" Agent Wren asks.

"We have been tracking Baras' influence since our inception. He is... cunning."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I was under the impression no one is ever to be trusted in these affairs," She replied with an amused smile, "...I don't know, the information could prove useful but it could also be a trap. Or as I mused earlier some kind of internal Sith struggle....of course if it is that the next question becomes: is it better to allow ourselves to be used by one Sith if it takes down a potentially more dangerous other Sith?"

[Agent Wren Yuris]

"I think it depends on the Sith, if it led to putting down a rabid dog like Lord Zeno sure... one of the other Sith not so much. If the benefit out weighs the cost then I am all for it. The things we do master Jedi are not pretty but we get it done. If you got a real target for us, I'll pull the trigger myself," she says.

"Got off track there. So you were wanting to talk about Baras right?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

"And Layne, his assistant...assassin...associate....something." She nods, "I know Baras is on the Dark Council, but beyond that its a bit vague to me."

[Agent Wren Yuris]

"Actually he is not on the Dark Council, his master Darth Vengean is on the council. Last we checked. Baras is a spy master and we have identified two of his known apprentices, Sylvain Torsin and Layne Hoshin; both here on Nar Shaddaa. Sylvain seems to keep to Imperial space but Layne has been stomping around the galaxy with reckless abandon leaving quite the trail of bodies. Including this unfortunate," she says pulling up a holo display of a dead muun in a bathrobe.

"Wealthy businessman named Timu Vosk, killed in his home. With a lightsaber. Tragic."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I have spoken to Torsin and he mentioned his master in passing." She nodded, "He is...certainly a charming fellow, the silk glove to Layne's iron fist?"

"Was there any reason for this man's death? Or does this Layne just kill for sport?"

[Agent Wren Yuris]

"That is the part we are trying to figure out, and from my sources so is the Empire," Wren says thinking things over.

[Yslane Tssilla]

"So someone took in a wampa and now that its out they are trying to figure out if its just going to kill people they don't like?" Yslane muses, "Well, the Sith do have a tendency for self-immolation...so I can't say I am surprised that these things happen."

"Do we know of any other associates of Baras?"

[Agent Wren Yuris]

"Lots of suspected associates, no hard evidence," Wren says with a sigh.

"If we could pin down his agents we would, but the Sith is clever."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I see." She returns Wren's sigh, "Well the Sith seem to breed backstabbers and liars, so its only natural the top of the pile are the best at both."

[Agent Wren Yuris]

"It just makes the job more interesting and more vital to the safety of the Republic," Wren says with a confident smile.

[Yslane Tssilla]

"And every know and then you can trust one powerful Sith to stab another powerful Sith," She adds, "At any rate, how does SIS wish proceed in regards to the Senator?"

[Agent Wren Yuris]

"Round the clock security detail, both visible and invisible. Maybe the Jedi can assign him a personal detail, an adviser that doubles as a guard? You Jedi are good for that, right?" Wren responds.

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Master Yulani is speaking to Master Shan on the subject, for now I have been close to the Senator in his public appearances." She nods.

[Agent Wren Yuris]

"Well then, I say we continue that," she says.

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I suspect my cover as a diplomat is nearing its end, close proximity to the Sith is probably raising suspicions." Yslane sighs, "I have not advance far enough in my studies to make my connection to the Force invisible."

[Agent Wren Yuris]

"Well what do you plan to do about it?" she asks.

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Well not much for it sadly," Yslane shrugs, "Continue to work alongside the Senator in a more open manner."

[Agent Wren Yuris]

“Yeah, normally I would just identify a target setup on a perch and put a bolt between the eyes at a kilometer or so and call it a day. But they want us to play nice so for now that’s all we can do. I think we have a good plan for the moment,” she says.

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Or as good as we can manage for now?" Yslane corrects with a slight smile, "I'll try to contact you if there are any changes....so you know where to pick up the bodies if something goes wrong." She adds with a deadpan tone...a bit of cynical humor.
