Favors (Day 3 Mid-Evening 'Ritt's')

[Zanebry Varliss]

He'd take her hand and lead her to the dance floor, where the band was playing a slow song. It was an easy excuse for a slow dance. Offering her a smile he helped her along. placing her hand on his shoulder, before letting his rest on her waist. "We start here." He instructed in a playful tone.

"Now just follow my lead, I'll walk you through the steps, and don't worry about stepping on my toes. I've had worse." With that he began to leas her through the steps of the dance, slowly and patiently, and like with more then a few of his toes being stepped on.

Again, Ashla doesn't like being touched, but she tries to put herself outside her comfort zone and ignore.

The first time she steps on his toes. "Eh. Sorry about that." Eventually, she gets better.

Sadly dancing was all about touching, though sending her discomfort he tries to keep his touch light, and innocent. "You're doing much better." He offered after they had spent some time on the floor.

"Do you wish to continue? Or?"

Arsele has not touched her drink yet, but she's not in any hurry there certainly; She was here to dance, not drink. So she immediately took the offered hand as she stood, "Absolutely not; Not here to be a wallflower."

Arali's hand is warm, her twi'lek blood burning just slightly hotter than human. She offers no words, instead letting her body do the talking, taking the lead as the next song starts. A lively, swinging piece of jizz.

She starts cautiously. Dance is a language that's a little different for everyone, and it takes a moment to read a partner's natural rhythm. But when she does, she has every dip and twirl to give Arsele a time. And possibly communicate some less-than-pure intent.

Arsele is both more athletic and more flexible than one might assume by just looking at her appearance as another girl dressed up to party. And all her time practicing ballet back home has made sure her balance and technique are up to snuff too.

Still, she didn't go onto the dance floor to show off, and she as just as conscientious about Arali's dance moves as the Twi'lek woman is with her own. So it isn't long until the two fall into synch with one another, even without words. And Arsele is more than happy with that; It's not that words would spoil the moment, but she is more than pleased in focusing on the music and Arali, this being the first time she's seen her dance.

Ashla has been slowly relaxing somewhat, even if a she has to recite the Jedi Code in her head a few times to make it happen. "I am fine. I think I'm starting to get the hang of this." She gives a half smile. "I think I'm stepping on your toes less."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"You were stepping on my toes?" He asked, a charming smile on his lips as they moved to the music.

He was still relieved as the smile crossed her lips. "You have a lovely smile you know Ashla, I'm happy to finally see it."

Arali's personal style is far less refined. A combination of practice, appreciation, exposure, but not instruction, strung together by utterly unapologetic passion, the Code be damned. Yet reading another's movements is a tremendously useful talent in dancing and dueling alike, and some of the signs take her by surprised.

"Classically schooled?" she asks. Not the sort of thing one sees on Nar Shaddaa very often, but everyone here has a story.

Ashla chuckles. "You're a dangerous man. "

[Zanebry Varliss]

His lips curled into a sly smile. "So I've been told."

"Were you ready for the next part of your lesson?" He asked tilting his head a little to the side and studying her.

Ashla cocked an eyebrow. "Well, I guess that would be what the lesson is."

[Arsele Girard]

Arali's personal style is far less refined. A combination of practice, appreciation, exposure, but not instruction, strung together by utterly unapologetic passion, the Code be damned. "Classically schooled?" she asks. Not the sort of thing one sees on Nar Shaddaa very often, but everyone here has a story.

"Alderaanian ballet actually, yes; My family are nobles back there, so they insisted my thirst for the arts go into something proper. Just don't expect me to start busting out any toe points or such."

Ashla cocked an eyebrow. "Well, I guess that would be what the lesson is."

"Sadly it's a lesson I can't give, I always lead when dancing and never follow. so for this I'll leave you in the hands of Arsele." It was a intricate move that Z demonstrated, to steal Arali away and leave Ashla in the hands of the blonde woman. "I'll be back for you again in a bit Ashla." He aaid with a parting smile.

"Arsele my dear, could you give her a lesson on how to feel her partner?" With that he and his new partner would spin away. Unless of course someone protested the quick exchange.

Arali opens her mouth to continue her conversation, only for Zane to swoop in and whisk her away. This isn't her first time dancing with Zane, so she catches her rhythm easily enough, but it does beg the question of why.

Still, that question will be answered soon enough. For now, she lets Zane lead and keeps on dancing.

He lets them find their rhythm and dance for a few moments, slowly moving away from Ashla and Arsele so they could have a bit of privacy. "I though it might be easier for her to learn that kind of thing from another woman."

He smiled softly. "I could probably of done it myself, but I can be a bit demanding on my partner."

[Arali Zian]

"I forgive you for being such a harsh taskmaster," Arali jests. Then, more quietly, "Thank you for being gentle with her. She needs that right about now."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Talk like that and I'll think youre giving me permission to be more daring." He had kept the dance fairly simple thus far, but that began to change as they continued

"Any time Arali." He offered her a small smile, as he continued his voice still low. "It seems I was right though, you do have some ulterior motives in your choice. Anything I should know? Or avoid?"

[Arali Zian]

"Dare away," Arali offers, meeting any pace Zane cares to set. Though she might regret it later.

But then they get to the real reason for the interlude. "I don't know the whole story. Lotta Jedi had less choice in the matter than we like to think. I hear that part of her story's messier than most, but I don't know the details." A pause, then she adds, "Also, just had a really bad date with a Sith.
He came on way to strong. Has her pretty rattled."

"If you're certain." Zane's normal style of dancing was rather sensual, he did tone it back when he danced with Arali, as he knew her preferences in partnerers. Having permission to let loose was something rare though, so the man started to pull out the stops. It might be a tad embarrassing to watch. He'd take things down a notch if he senses Arali was uncomfortable though.

"I see..." He trailed off, thinking for a few moments. "I'm not sure what I can do for her, but I'll be a gentleman. She's a nice young woman and deserves that much."

((Roll for the Hell of it, though keeping up with Zane would probably be way harder than 'average.'))

Arali has the skill, and she trusts Zane's decency implicitly, but her body just can't keep pace long, and Zane is forced to slow down before he wears the poor twi'lek plum out.

After a moment of rest steps to catch her breath, "I think that's more than you know. A good time with no expectations will go a long way."

"Arsele my dear, could you give her a lesson on how to feel her partner?" With that he and his new partner would spin away. Unless of course someone protested the quick exchange.

Arsele sighed as her dance partner was taken away, but turned right to Ashla and favoured her with one of her patented smiles, "So, lessons on how to feel your dance partner, hm? You weren't just roped into this I hope."

"Z seems like a gentleman but...." Ashla pauses for a second. "There is no emotion, there is peace." Ashla looks at the other pair. "He is fine. Though this is not my most comfortable setting. But if I can't dance with a man, I can hardly make it as a Jedi Knight."

[Zanebry Varliss]

((Roll for the Hell of it, though keeping up with Zane would probably be way harder than 'average.'))

Wearing the twi'lek plum out wasn't his intention, so as he sensed Arali losing energy, he slowed down the pace, letting them both catch their breath.

"Let's hope so." His smile turned a bit teasing. "Still i may have you dance with her next, to make sure she wants to continue. Well, and so i get a chance to dance with Arsele."

"Z seems like a gentleman but...." Ashla pauses for a second. "There is no emotion, there is peace." Ashla looks at the other pair. "He is fine. Though this is not my most comfortable setting. But if I can't dance with a man, I can hardly make it as a Jedi Knight."

"Do you consider this a test of sorts then?" she asked curiously.
