[D3 LE] Kaggaths and Slaughter are So Romantic

Her face scrunches up a little, and she takes a quiet sip of more bloodwine.

"... Fair enough," she says. "Do they seem like they might be willing to work with the Empire, at least? Or someone who can earn their respect, like you?"

"It'll take some work, I think. But unlike the others, I don't take issue with her activities or methods. And I can understand her displeasure with the person that has the information, since that person is a traitor. Making sure that she's satisfied with the results is no different from doing what you need to for your master. And the others are too soft hearted for her I think. Each time Adrianna spoke it annoyed her more. But she seemed pleased enough with my responses and questions," he says with a nod. "I think if I can develop a working relationship with her, it wouldn't be a bad idea to potentially assist and sponsor her with piracy against Republic supply lines."

What he was saying seemed to please her, as she smiles and takes another mouthful.

"Hmmm... that sounds good. And if the negotiations here with the Hutts also causes the Republic to get a stronger foothold here, it means we could have an ally to properly harry them in a system that would be difficult for us to normally reach."

Seemed like the physical excersise had given her an appetite, judging by how fast she was going through the steak.

Zeno wasn't eating too slowly either, and had the majority of it gone already. He washes a bit of food down with a gulp of blood wine.

"Well, gotta do what I can. And the negotiation aspect is certainly not my forte. But, you know, if you ever need my blades I'm always up for it. Haven't seen a whole lot of use for them other than the Kaggath and that's over now."

"Me neither, but I prefer to keep those skills in reserve... the less people who observe my form, the better," she chuckles. "That way, I can have some surprises up my sleeve, and allow my opponent to either underestimate me or have no idea what they might be facing."

"It's probably why I'm an annyoance to my master's rivals," she grins confidently. "But I will certainly remember your offer, Zeno. Likewise, if you need assistance with something, I might be able to provide it. Be it credits, information, or another pair of lightsabers."

"I'll definitely keep you in mind. In more ways than one if I'm being honest," he says with a playful tone. Finishing his food, and then his drink, he leans back in his seat. "You'll have to introduce me to the Jedi you've met. Perhaps we might work together to show them what passion means for a Sith and give them another reason to see things the right way."

"And here I thought you said you weren't the very persuasive kind," she teases in return and wolfs down the last remains of the meal. "Mmm... that was delicious. When I join the Dark Council, I should have you serve me as a chef."

Shaisha tops off her own glass of wine and offers the same for Zeno.

"When you join the dark council I'm sure we'll have dealt with the emperor and I'll be sitting on his throne. I'll probably be too busy to cook," he chuckles at that.

Rising, he takes the plates and moves them to the counter.

While Zeno chuckles, Shaisha does not and she falls silent as he takes the plates to the counter.

"... It's not a laughing matter, Zeno," she says after what seems like a painful silence.

"I've seen the same nightmarish visions you have. Don't think for a moment that I don't understand the danger." He kneels next to her chair and takes one of her hands. "But it already terrorizes my sleep. I'll not let it do so to my waking hours. I will maintain my confidence that something can be done and that we will do it. I don't laugh to make light of the threat, I laugh because I'm confident we will be unstoppable one day and that thought makes me happy."

She doesn't stop him from taking her hand, but there is certainly something guarded about her.

"It's not that..." she sighs. "... I mean, my father has served the Emperor for 300 hundred years. No matter how hard you work, you have to get past him if you even want to consider the idea. That is if someone so powerful even allows you to get that close."

"And has he seen what we've seen?" Zeno asks. "Perhaps if he were made aware of the threat he would be inclined to do act on behalf of the good of the empire."

"Yeah... for all I know, he might not even do that, and could probably just kill us both if he saw it fit," Shaisha shakes her head. Her family relations were shaky at best. "He is not one I consider an ally easily."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Well, that is something that you probably need to figure out. In time it will end up being the Emperor against the Empire. But I can't imagine anyone, even your father, would be happy with being a tool to be used and then devoured. Especially your father I would think. I can't imagine the Wrath is not a fiercely individual man that would not be happy with the thought of becoming a monster's meal."

He kisses her hand. "And I am always ready to stand by you when you call. I'd prefer we didn't die, but I've been prepared to do so for those I care about for a long time."

Shaisha's lips press together. Her vision had shown Scourge turning away from a wound in the Force, leaving her behind there, and entering the Light that became touched by his shadowy silhouette... did this mean he would abandon the Empire? He would leave her in the clutches of the Emperor?

She hated to admit that it might have to be time to be honest with the Wrath. Even if it might cost her her life if he was linked to the Emperor more than he thought himself.

"... You'd be surprised. The Emperor has many servants, many of them having had their wills already bent to his whims. But... look, I don't want to think about it. It's bad enough that this has haunted my sleep since Yavin IV, and only gotten worse since Nathema." Her hands tighten around Zeno's. "It's something that needs to be carefully considered."

"Shaisha..."

He looks at her, meeting her eyes with a gentle intensity. "I feel strongly, all the time. I know you can feel that, sense that. And where you are concerned those feelings become so much more intense. I will support and help you however I can, whether it's as a distraction or someone to confide in or someone to fight beside."

"But your mind is standing at a crossroad where you don't want to think about this while it has to be carefully considered. You will have to decide, and if you want me there when you do so I will be there." He reaches up and caresses her cheek. "Coming to terms with such difficulties is difficult for such passionate individuals, but I will lend you my strength to do so, when you are ready."

She takes a deep breath, her eyes meeting his before closing them for a moment.

"You know I will never forget that you are offering this, Zeno... it... it just hurts me, seeing what I've done to you already. Going to Nathema, I thought maybe we'd just find... well, something other than that. Just hoping the nightmares will end, eventually, and overcome this wound it seems to have left on both of us."

"Sometimes, it still feels like I can't feel the Force."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"I can't make you stop feeling the way you do. All I can do is continue to tell you that the clarity it's granted is worth far more than the pain it's caused. You've helped me Shaisha, not hurt me. Knowing what could come to pass and having the chance to plan for and fight it... I'm happy to suffer for the knowledge gained. Thank you for the chance to help do something about it," he says looking up to her with a smile. "Thank you for the opportunity to shoulder the burden with you."

"Damnit..." she pulls Zeno close and hugs him tightly. How dare you sound so much more noble than me?

"Thank you. I mean it. It's just a few words, but I don't know how else to say it."

He holds her closely for a moment, before an arm sweeps under her legs and he rises, lifting her from the chair. "You don't need to say it any other way. And you don't even need to say that either. I'm here for you Shaisha."

At least this time she didn't squeal in surprise as he picked her up.

"... I'm here for you too. You know I am. You've become one of my closest friends, Zeno."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"You for me as well," he says giving her a small kiss. "Which way are we going as he glances around at the apartment."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Well, up the stairs is the bedroom," she chuckles. "Or the pool outside, if you need a swim. There's roof over it to stop the oily rain from ruining it."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"I wouldn't mind giving the pool a go," he says, heading in that direction. Along the way, he planted small kisses on her shoulder and neck.

"You a good swimmer then?" she chuckles and holds onto him tightly as they head outdoors, giving a few kisses back in return.
