Favors (Day 3 Mid-Evening 'Ritt's')

[Arsele Girard]

"Well, I won't hold back then, unless you say otherwise."

She gave a nod and held out her hand towards Ashla, "Let's begin."

[Ashla Vyliis]

Ashla takes the hand unsure what is coming next.

[Arsele Girard]

hand taken, Arsele takes a short graceful step towards Ashla, "So, feeling your partner; In other words, being able to read the person dancing with you's preferences, skills, and techniques. For the most part this is simple empathy, but perhaps it is a bit more complex while dancing. Do you normally find yourself in tune with others' thoughts Miss Ashla?"

[Ashla Vyliis]

"Eh. Sometimes. Togrutas are pack hunters, so reading others comes naturally."

[Arsele Girard]

"Hmmm... have you fought with others using fists or blades then, either with or against? I would so, with you being Jedi trained, but I just want to make sure."

Arsele was not standing too close, but she looked intently up at the taller woman as she spoke, a mix of curiosity and searching.

[Ashla Vyliis]

"Only when I've had too. I've never been to Shili. I was just speaking from a genetic point, my species tends to be good at it."

[Arsele Girard]

"Only only ask because they can use very similar skills; Thinking ahead, watching the person you're with, reacting to changing conditions, and staying light on your toes. Let's start dancing and I'll point things out as we go."

Ashla nods and follows along.

The hand Arsele had offered earlier was only used to guide her partner, the blonde starting with something slow and careful. "Watch my steps closely and move along for now; Don't worry about having to look down, I'll be guiding you as well."

[Arali Zian]

Wearing the twi'lek plum out wasn't his intention, so as he sensed Arali losing energy, he slowed down the pace, letting them both catch their breath.

"Let's hope so." His smile turned a bit teasing. "Still i may have you dance with her next, to make sure she wants to continue. Well, and so i get a chance to dance with Arsele."

She takes a look to the lesson, "Maybe Ashla should get her chance first?"

Ashla closes her eyes, letting Arsele's hand guide her, feeling the air and movement through her monorails. She follows along fairly decently.

[Arsele Girard]

There is a slight chuckle from her dance partner, "Mmm... I did say to watch, but that's good too; And it seems you at least have the basics down, since I'm not needing to guide you with a very heavy hand."

[Ashla Vyliis]

Ashla opens her eyes and gives a half-smile. "I was trying to feel with the Force." Ashla chuckles. "Your instructions suspiciously sounded like Jedi training."

[Arsele Girard]

That gets a tilt of Arsele's head to the side, "It did? How curious. I wonder if that wouldn't be a fine place o start then, since it seemed to be working for you."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"As you wish my dear." He replied with a easy smile. "Whenever you are ready."

He smirked. "Which I imagine is the moment I interrupted."

"Yeah. Trusting your partner, allowing it to guide you as you guide it. Sounds a lot like the Force."

[Arsele Girard]

"Hm. Well I know neither heads nor tails about the Force really, but I'd definitely understand that such things could be seen as spiritual or mystical in nature; Focus, insight, trust, intuition... I think those can serve us in a lot of areas."

Arsele didn't stop leading as she talked, secretly paying more attention to how Ashla kept up than the deepness of the philosophy.

[Arali Zian]

Not really able to hear the conversation between Arsele and Ashla, Arali gives them a moment, then gives Zane the nod, and they swoop in for another swap.

"Shall we finish this round robin?" she offers as she steps down her tempo considerably for Ashla.

"Having fun?" she asks the togruta.

Ashla keeps pace though not perfectly. The talent exists, if not trained.

After the switch with Arali, "I not not enjoying myself."

He had thought Arali was going to switch back to Arsele, he had just agreed to that after all. Still he wasnt one to argue, and as his partner changed to the blonde he offered her a smile. "Good evening beautiful." He extended his hand. "May I have this dance?"

[Arsele Girard]

"Hmmm... can I have some time to think about that?" she says with a coy grin, though she is slightly distracted by all the switching around unexpectedly... so it isn't a 100 percent effective delivery.

Ashla keeps pace though not perfectly. The talent exists, if not trained.

After the switch with Arali, "I not not enjoying myself."

Dammit.

"Thank you for your honesty," she considers the situation, keeping the step simple. "Maybe a change of venue? Something a little less intense? Finish our drinks, get some food?"

"Hmmm... can I have some time to think about that?" she says with a coy grin, though she is slightly distracted by all the switching around unexpectedly... so it isn't a 100 percent effective delivery.

"A gentlemen will never deny a lady such a request." He replied a charming smile on his lips and laughter in his eyes. "But this one would like to express how much he has been looking forward to this moment."

"Dancing with moi? I could never tell. Now what you never told me was how you wanted to dance."

For now she just kind of casually dances, to the music, nothing fancy.

"It's not the venue. It's just nerves, and I'll probably have them anywhere. I do like your friends. Thanks for bringing me."
