Caught between two arrangements and finding herself with a little free time, Shaisha dropped by one of the better casinos to have some fun with the Sabacc tables.

Dressed for her date with Sylvain later, in a black shimmersilk dress that showed a lot of skin, yet still had concealed pockets on the inside of the draping skirt across her hip that allowed for her to bring her lightsabers. The female sith looked like a proper femme fatale as she joined a round of Sabacc, where she proceeded to flirt and manipulate her opponents enough to make off with some big winnings.

Getting some sour looks from those she just fleeced, Shaisha picked up her drink to excuse herself... and her comm went off. Seeing the identity of the caller, she smiled.

"Petty Officer Ormont for Shaisha Vreysk."

"Petty Officer Ormont, what an unexpected pleasure," the seductively dressed Sith greeted him over holo with a smile.

[Cole Ormont]

Cole has declined to display his own image, so she cannot see his expression, but his voice sounds a little thick, drugs?

"Good evening, ma'am. I wanted to follow up with you and see how you're healing."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Oh, I've recovered marvelously, thanks to your skill," she smiled and took a sip of her martini. "Say... everything alright there? You sound... different."

[Cole Ormont]

"I'm fine. It's been an.... interesting day," he doesn't sound drunk, but still somewhat hazy or far away. "But that's good to hear. How has the pain been?"

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Still there, but nothing I can't handle. Probably strained myself a bit too much yesterday, but when destiny presents itself, I can't simply ask it to come back another day," she admitted with a playful smirk.

"Define interesting to me then, Ormont. I'm in a good mood and willing to listen."

[Cole Ormont]

"Well, good thing I didn't prescribe rest. Not that I thought you'd take it."

He sighs, and through the open comm he can be heard tapping out a message and muttering quietly, "isn't every day on Nar Shaddaa interesting, though?" he finally answers.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"What is really on your mind, Cole?" The Sith sipped her martini, eyes narrowing slightly. "Since you called me. I doubt it was just a simple courtesy call."

[Cole Ormont]

"Actually, it was. Broken ribs are nasty to heal. I trust in my ability, but I would be lax in my duties if I didn't check in. I'm just a simple country doctor, I don't do ulterior motives."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Of course," she placed the communicator on the table and lounged herself comfortably in the chair. "Then allow me to return the favour of inquiring to your own well-being. You sound like you did some bad stims."

[Cole Ormont]

"Bad? No. Only the finest medications the Republic Navy has to offer for me." He can be heard shifting in his chair, grunting softly.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Oh... someone roughed you up then? Was it a mugging, or something else?" she actually sounded genuinly interested.

[Cole Ormont]

Faintly amused, "when a Hutt demands money, I suppose mugging is as good word as any."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

She leaned her head to the left. "... Have you racked up a debt to the Hutts, Cole my dear?" she sounded both concerned and amused. "I thought gambling was frowned upon in the military."

[Cole Ormont]

"As long as you don't gamble on base, the military couldn't care less. But I don't gamble. The Hutts have created a debt out of thin air, and damned if I'm going to let a beating cow me."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

She had to admit to herself she was a little impressed with his tenacity. "How big a debt are they claiming it to be?"

[Cole Ormont]

"Roughly the lives of two Republic soldiers," he replies coldly.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Hm, I see." Her tone became more cold as well.

"Perhaps there is something I can be of assistance with?"

[Cole Ormont]

Ignoring that she can't see him, he is shaking his head, "no. Thanks for the offer, but I have to put it through the proper channels before I do anything else."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Proper channels?" she scoffed. "And how many more might the Hutts kill then while you're waffling through red tape, Cole?"

[Cole Ormont]

"Roughly none. At least, not for this debt. But I didn't say anything about the Hutts killing people." Not every day a Republic soldier gets included in the body count, he supposes, it will be all over the news tomorrow anyway.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

She raised an eyebrow. "Either I assumed incorrectly from what you said, or you're more drugged than you care to admit. You said the Hutts created a debt out of thin air, and when I asked you about the debt, you said it was worth the lives of two Republic soldiers."

Not that she mourned them.

"What sort of mess have you gotten yourself into, angelhair?"

[Cole Ormont]

"You assume too much," he runs a hand self-consciously through his hair and taps something on his datapad. "One man is dead, and my debt is halved. Basic math."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Ah." Why didn't you just say so to begin with then?!

"So you'll be next then?"

[Cole Ormont]

"I suspect I'm worth more alive right now. Or I'd have been shot in the back like the man they did kill." Cole is distracted for a moment by his paltry 'work', "I didn't think Hutts made such stupid mistakes."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Hm... sounds like you better lay low for a while. Any idea why they conjured up this debt, or did they give you the courtesy of telling?"
