Karr-e to Speak with Me? (D4, EN)

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain found himself in a bar in the commercial district sitting in a private booth with a drink in his hand. The noise of afterwork parties filled the bar as members of the Czerka Corporation were out late for some type of mandatory gathering. Sylvain had his mask on the table. He looked down at it and pondered on exactly who he was, and what he needed to do to remain that man. His drink slowly disappeared as the minutes passed, but the questions still lingered in his mind.

[Dapper Dog]

At the bar he spies Nomen Karr having a quiet conversation with a trandoshan.

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain chuckles to himself.

Of course he would be here...

Sylvain waved the waiter over and informed him he was buying Nomen another one of his drinks and to let him know it was Sylvain who was doing it.

[Dapper Dog]

Nomen Karr approaches and sets the drink down on the table and says, “I don’t drink while going about my duties but I appreciate the sentiment.”

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "Well it did what it was supposed to do. Got your attention."

[Dapper Dog]

“I suppose it did, so why have you summoned me to your table, my lord,” he says calmly.

[Sylvain Torsin]

He chuckled, "I was wondering if we could have a chat if you could spare a moment."

[Dapper Dog]

“I have a few, Sylvain. What did you want to talk about?” he asks.

[Sylvain Torsin]

"I hadn't expected to find you here... so I hadn't prepared anything specifically... but if I were to ask the question most pressing on my mind, it would be what you think of a galaxy without Baras? I wouldn't be surprised if word had reached your ears already... you are a resourceful fellow."

[Dapper Dog]

“It would be a slightly better place maybe but not much, the Empire… the Emperor, the Sith all still exist. Slavery, Hutts… war and famine and suffering would not magically end. Baras is at best a symptom of larger forces but not the source of all ills,” the Jedi Master responds.

“Better to redeem him, and have him put those skills to use for the betterment of society.”

[Sylvain Torsin]

He chuckled, "And how do you intend to do that?"

[Dapper Dog]

"I have no idea," Karr replies with a shrug.

"Someone with better wisdom than me will have to accomplish that."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"So if there were an opportunity to remove this cancerous 'symptom' from his position you would not be interested in that?" He asked.

[Dapper Dog]

“Remove in Sith tends to mean murder, death, kill… I would gladly minimize his influence but the power vacuum would just allow another to take his place. Better the Sith you know than the alternative,” he says firmly.

[Sylvain Torsin]

"And if the alternative were me?" He asked.

[Dapper Dog]

"I don't have enough information to know if that is actually better, Sith," he says calmly.

"You won't hold that network together by yourself, or you're far more adept a Sith than I realized."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"I won't be entirely alone, but I hold very different objectives than my master. I am equipped with a similar skill set as he, but I do not rely on the dark side and its destructive tendencies like he does. He seeks to dominate and control the galaxy and I seek to return it to order; it has been spinning out of control for all of my life... and injustices abound throughout the galaxy. It is time to put the resources that exist into more productive means." He replied.

"I live and die for the Empire... I know you once had infiltrated the highest levels of power in the Empire... Perhaps you even know my father. I am a man like Aramis Torsin... if that means anything to you."

[Dapper Dog]

“One man can do great things, but even so, you walk a dangerous road Torsin,” he says calmly.

“Baras did not become Baras overnight; it was a conversion by inches. Power, even in the best of hands is a corrupting influence. Maybe you have more wisdom than most but I wouldn’t trust myself with that any more than a Sith.”

[Sylvain Torsin]

"Be that as it may... I have no intention in following Baras' path. He and I are made of different traits... and I refuse to walk the same path he has to power. He has brought pain and destruction upon millions of lives... Surely justice means something to even a Jedi?"

[Dapper Dog]

"You're about as subtle as a lightsaber to the gut," he replies.

"Get to your point, Torsin," he says calmly.

[Sylvain Torsin]

"I was told the Jedi prefer honesty." He replied with a smirk, "I believe an associate of mine has approached your operatives about assisting in this task... I know of Baras' fierce hatred for you, and imagine that you would be able to throw him off his game if need be. I don't expect you to kill him... as you said you have no intent of killing him. And my intent is only to bring him to justice for his crimes against the Empire. Whatever means you have available to distract him or his assets away, would be greatly appreciated."

[Dapper Dog]

"The Jedi will look into the matter, for the sake of justice," he responds.

[Sylvain Torsin]

"And you personally?" He asked.

[Dapper Dog]

"The Jedi will take the matter seriously."

Master Karr says, "I thank you for the information, is there anything else?"

[Sylvain Torsin]

"Faine Varu... who were they? My master is not forthcoming..." He asked.
