Enjoying the Night Life [D2 EN]

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington checks the information on his datapad and then nods. He chose a very nice upscale restaurant with good reviews without be absurdly expensive for no good reason. Entering the establishment, after a brief wait the server soon leads them to a table. It is by a window with a view of the skyline of Nar Shaddaa.

[Niriti]

Niriti steps behind Remmy in the restaurant. She wears an expensive looking dress, uncomfortable for anything but drawing attention and awes. The dress is silhouettes her full body in black silk with transparent straps over her shoulders and transparencies along the length of the dress until the floor. She holds her hair in a elegant undone braid and strong dark make up.

"I could get used to this, my dear."

Remmington helps her with her chair before sitting down himself. "Well figure that we may as well try to start off on the right foot with our soiree into Nar Shaddaa."

He takes a look at the menu.

[Niriti]

Niriti opened the menu laying over the table, so she could maintain eye contact with Remy, checking for his hands to be clean since she expected him to have been working on mechanical thingies of his.

"Do you think they have Bantah tartare?" She asked as she went to the menu again, going up and down its contents. "Oh, this Nerf steak with cloudberries and mushrooms sounds delicious, doesn't it?

What did you do today, my dear?"

[Remmington Thalalas]

"Well I did some repair work at Network Security. Found something of interest there like I mentioned before at the Cantina." Remmington smiles at that one.

"Other than that, had a couple of pleasant dates with a couple of the Republic girls on our Hutt Ball team. Seems like the rumours are true. The part about the representatives being a bit odd. I got a fedora to keep out this bloody oil rain and some post cards for Jaina. Played another game of Hutt Ball. We got another new player in. The game started off a bit slow but thanks to Jo'ren, the moment changed and we crushed the other team."

He nods at the menu choice Niriti mentions. "That sounds good. Let's get that darling. How was your day by the way?"

He looks into her starry eyes as he puts the menu down and places their order.

[Niriti]

"Sounds like an exciting day." With a quick movement of her eyes, the woman gets the presence of the waiter and gets their order in, adding some drinks for them both. "I'm happy that your team is doing so good, not only happy, but also gaining on it as well since I've been doing some betting on your team and its quick rise to success. Surprised to hear you accepted some republicans on your team though, but it does represent the spirit of peace that we are aiming for in Nar Shaddaa, maybe."

The drinks arrive quickly, Niriti's is one of a subtle aroma and tempting shade of red. She gives a slow sip before continuing with her day. "I started the morning out making some business at the commercial area, and found some senator there." The Sith struggled to remember the name a bit, after all she had many on her mind as well as hers. "Adrian Morinel, or something of the sort. After that we went gambling and then talked to a pair of bounty hunters, charming fellows, but we didn't get into the investigation that we were looking forward to getting into. After that I just reviewed the list of represented."

[Remmington Thalalas]

"Ah small world. I actually had lunch with lady Morindel. She is actually going to play on the team as well. Though she is using it as a publicity stunt in order for her to raise popular opinion of herself and rise up in the senate. " Remmington smiles cooly after taking a sip of his drink.

"One reason that I got Republic and unaligned members on the team is to generate interest and increase our visibility. It seems to be working, the media definitely noticed and we were on the news yesterday." He gazes at her with a dashing smile.

[Niriti]

"Yet I wonder, if it would not had been best in our interest to have a strong team of Imperials to win these games, then the Hutts would realize that it is our side which holds the power. But then that would be against the main theme of these meetings in Nar Shaddaa...." She had her own ideas, pro and cons, to the team "but you're right, if they see the game more, then you will all be more of celebrities, and liked among the locals and the Hutts, so it should help even better to have that mixed team."

"That woman is an interesting one." She continued as the first dish appeared and she signaled the waiter away. "She has no liking to the Jedi, and this I used against her. Maybe we can strike against the Jedi in this way, making their important alliance with the Republic, a broken one."

[Remmington Thalalas]

"Well the other graduates filled in for the big game tonight so if they really wanted to we can have a completely Sith team on top of team Valkyrie. So it's probably best if we continue on this route." Remmington comments.

He considers this for a moment. "She used to be in the military. I believe that the military and the Jedi sometimes clash with their ideas on how plans should be implemented. It is rather different with how things are in the Empire. I don't think a strike is necessary. Even hindrance when applied in the right circumstance should be enough."

He smiles at her. "Though you are better at that sort of thing than I. So I'll leave that to you darling."

[Niriti]

"I was just thinking that during the peace offerings, if we played our part and planted a strong seed, we could get peace with the Republic, and in exchange get rid of the Jedi as well. Them goodie doers depend on the Republic to sustain themselves, and without them, they will be dead and lost forever, leaving us to take over where they are not no longer."

[Remmington Thalalas]

"Well for now. Since the Emperor wants peace. That is what I shall strive towards. I don't think that the Republic will get rid of the Jedi. Though if they diminish the influence of the Jedi that will probably be satisfactory." Remmington comments.

The food arrives and it looks and smells amazing. "Oh my, certainly better than nutrient paste."

[Niriti]

She takes a piece of the entree, saviors it and grins in surprise. "Delicious." She adds as she takes another fork of it and eats.

"Well even if the Emperor's will is to have peace, I am sure that the Minister of War is not so happy with that. He has been winning some support and attention lately, specially since during war time he is the center of attention, and don't think that he will like to be backed down. Let's hope the Council shows him his place and that the peace can be reached. I would like to open some businesses with the Republic and take away some credits from those too goodies."

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington smiles as he savours his food as well. "This is certainly a far cry from our days at the Academy."

He nods at her analysis. "I am sure that the Emperor has good reason for it. You are right, it will give us an opportunity to expand business into previously unattainable areas."

[Niriti]

"Actually my meeting with the senator gave me an idea. It could be possible" The woman grabbed her glass of drink and held it close to her lips as she spoke "that we could reach certain peace with the Republic in exchange of forcing the Jedi to stop their unprovoked attacks against us, and not only that, but to allow our own way of the Force to be also present in the Republic, and in Coruscant. Allow our presence in the capital and their planets would bring more to our cause, and bring strength to our Order."

[Remmington Thalalas]

That certainly catches his interest. He leans forward and rests his chin on the back of this hands. "Oh? That certainly sounds interesting. How do you plan on doing that?"

[Niriti]

"Well" She meditates, it was something that had come up to her mind from her talk with the senator, so it was something that she still had to go through, maybe even take it to the rest of Imperials in the planet. "I was thinking that we should get close to them Republic ones that aren't Jedi related, make them think that we are the same as the Jedi, and that it was the fault of the Jedi to bring this war between our two Orders (Nations?)." She takes a piece of the main dish which appears before them as they talk, "mmmmm" she adds as she saviors.

"Well if we can make them believe that Jedi is but a religion, why would they be exclusive to the Republic? Is it not also so many other religions that the Galaxy follows? If the republic is a free place, governed by plurality, they should not be so attached to one... religion, right?"

[Remmington Thalalas]

"The Force is used by both Jedi and Sith. So to non-Force sensitives they may merely view us as practitioners of the same religion albeit possibly different sects." Remmington continues and then takes a few more bites.

"I do not think much traction will be garnered from playing the card that the Jedi were at fault for everything. Though the case can be made that the Empire had no actual qualms with the Republic itself and earnestly desires peace with the Republic at large. It is the Jedi order that the Empire wishes to abolish."

[Niriti]

"You're right, we can't blame them for all, just for the spark would be enough, and as long as we show that our intention is to keep peace with the Republic, and seem as victims of the hate of them jedi, then we should work out the deal pretty well."

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington takes a few more bites to finish his meal. "Hopefully you will have some success with that. Hopefully the senator will have enough influence in order to affect change. Otherwise you may need to look for more people to help push this agenda."

He enjoys the view with a sip of his drink.

[Niriti]

"I'll try to push this through, but I should get to those diplomacy meetings to do so then. I guess it's just putting a bit of charm and effort into it." She replied with a wide smile

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington nods. "I wish you the best of luck. I am guessing that Sylvain and or Rumun will be there too. Though I don't know how good any of the other Imperials that came here are."

[Niriti]

"I'll have to meet Sylvain then, and find out what are his intentions on the negotiation, since he is a much stronger spokesman than I, mostly because of his upbringing, and the help of his family name, that is." The sith finishes the remains of the dish and sits back, ordering a second drink, as the first starts to already affect her feelings and sensations, and the connection to the Force seems to come and go from the alcohol in her system. "Do you have any idea of Rumun's plan?"

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington thinks for a moment. "Not particularly. He mentioned that he is looking to make some real credits in deals with the Hutts. Probably for the sake of his master, who has had some impressive financial gains recently."

He watches her finish the meat. "I hope it was as good as you made it look eating it darling."
