Favors (Day 3 Mid-Evening 'Ritt's')

He smirked. "I prefer to thank of myself as a gentleman scoundrel my dear. Its subtle I know, but there is a difference."

Ashla nods. "I'll remember that."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"If appreciate that." He replied with a wry smile.

There was a few moments of silence as Z considered further lines of conversation. Finally deciding on a simple one. "So, what are your favorite type of holovids?"

"The silly ones you don't have to think too much about. Stuff like Vera Hawke. What do you like?"

[Arali Zian]

That got a smile out of Arsele, "So you fell for my voice? Hmm... I have to say I saw you before I heard your voice; And you had a handprint on your face at the time as I recall."

She made sure to not use her teasing voice.

"You were still absolutely adorable sitting there with that shocked look on your face."

"Yeah, I deserved that," she admits, but doesn't really want to dwell on the topic of her exes. "But I figured out real quick I shouldn't bring a date again."

"I actually don't watch all that many." He replied with a small chuckle. "I've watched the one about the sexy jedi knight once or twice, and a few others on occasion. But honestly I'm usually busy, or out on the town for some reason."

"Yeah, I deserved that," she admits, but doesn't really want to dwell on the topic of her exes. "But I figured out real quick I shouldn't bring a date again."

"I was just glad I got to see you again, and that time you talked to me. Not that I could have imagined we'd end up dancing like this, or that I would get to see you in such an elegant dress."

Arsele was telling the truth; Life could be so unpredictable sometimes. At least this was in a pleasant way.

"Sometimes, you just have to live in the moment. Go with the flow, have faith, and let life surprise you."

Or haggle and scheme to get a friend to set you up with one of his friends. Either or.

"True enough; Living in the moment right now seems like great advice."

Questions and such could wait a bit; For now, all of Arsele's focus was on her dance partner. Watching her move, sensing her emotions, moving with her body... and guarding against her getting taken away again.

And for a while, they do just that, holding one another close until this slow song winds down, and Arali speaks again. "You know, if you like my dancing, it's not my best art." A teasing probe.

"The life of a gentleman scoundrel is never dull, huh? Are you here for a job now? I understand if you prefer not to answer that."

"I don't mind, especially since the answer is no." At points it may have felt close to one though. "Arali asked me to introduce her to Arsele under more casual circumstances. She's friend so I accepted, though i asked her to make sure to bring a friend of her own along."

"I must admit a young jedi woman was a bit of a surprise, but it's turned into a pleasant one."

And for a while, they do just that, holding one another close until this slow song winds down, and Arali speaks again. "You know, if you like my dancing, it's not my best art." A teasing probe.

"Oh? Some sort of performance art, or something more creative related?" she says with obvious interest.

"Creative," she answers. "I'd put my gardening or my cooking above my dancing, but my first love will always be painting."

As they continue dancing... "Painting, hm? I don't suppose you do portraits, do you?"

Arali quirks an eyebrow, interested. "I could, if an inspiring subject were to volunteer."

"Volunteer... And here one usually pays to get such things done," she says with a cheeky little smirk.

[Arali Zian]

"What can I say? I'm in it for the art," she proclaims in a melodramatic tone.

"Ah, I am in the presence of a true artiste? Am I even worthy of volunteering for such an honor then?"

[Arali Zian]

"I won't tell if you won't," she teases.

[Arsele Girard]

"Then I volunteer whole heartedly my dear. Besides, it would give me a chance to see your gardening and try your cooking too perhaps?"

Arsele missed such cultural things; Not enough high class museums on Nar Shaddaa. What with the danger of thieves like her around...

[Arali Zian]

"Then it's a date," Arali beams.

"Though showing off my gardening might be hard," she admits. "I don't really have a place that's mine. I help Master Thun tend the Enclave gardens, but it is very much her masterpiece. I want my own space for a garden some day, but there's not a lot of room for nature on Nar Shaddaa; I do grow my own tea at home, though."

[Arsele Girard]

"That's more than I can say; I had to get one of those auto-waterers for the few plants in my flat after a few 'trial runs' proved less than successful... Taking care of plants just isn't one of my strong suits."

[Arali Zian]

"Oh no! A black thumb?" Arali exclaims. "I've worked with plants so much of my life. I'm a farm girl, kind of. That alone made coming to Nar Shaddaa hard for a while."

[Arsele Girard]

"I grew up in a manor of sorts in a big city. We had a big garden, but not even mother worked on it; That was for the groundskeepers and such. Mmm... if only we'd had one as cute as you though."
