"Oh, I like that thought," her grin is devious. "And she's a Cathar too, no? How very fitting."

"The others I'm working with might take exception, and she might just fight to the death. Cathars can be that way. But it's not an unappealing thought," he says with a smirk. "How about yourself? What are you working on currently?"

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"A lot of stuff, really. And most of it are things that take a bit of time."

She shrugs. "Sure, I do a little work for the Empire here and there, but mostly it's working on bringing down a rather fat and overgrown parasite that occupies a lot of my time these days. Not sure if it's the kind of politics you wanna get involved in now or not?"

"I'm always in if you need a hand. The only problem I potentially have is time management," he says with a chuckle. "And if I spend too much time working..." he pulls her tight against him, "... I'm going to have to make up for it with some intense playing."

Shaisha giggles and leans forward to nibble on his earlobe.

"Mmm... I'm not opposed to that." She chuckles. "In broad strokes, without saying too much - walls having ears and all - there's a certain Darth whose ambition has seen to a lot of waste of good resources and capable Imperials. The time is nearing for a finale to finally put a stop to it, make him answer for all he's done. Not only to the Empire, but to my friends... and myself."

"I do not tolerate being used as a pawn." Especially not against those important to me.

[Zeno Deathwright]

"I don't think anyone appreciates being a pawn," he says with a nod. "But you should know I'm glad to be of assistance. Only so much I can do, but I'd do it."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Good to have people to rely on occassionaly," she smiles, nothing devious behind it, but it is friendly and relaxed.

"Know that I'd do the same for you, my friend, if you get caught up in too much Sith politics."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Eventually, I'm sure I will. For now I'll likely steer clear, and deal with more direct problems. The best way to interact with other Sith is to find the most beautiful among them and exchange ideas on passion."

To which he leans her back a bit and presses his lips within the neckline of her dress several times.

"It's far more rewarding."

"Passion is one of my favorite subjects," she replies as a grin returns to her face.

"Though I am curious of one thing... if you'll indulge a silly thought?"

"Go ahead," he says with a nod.

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"Seeing as both you and your father are Sith Lords..." her lips curl a little as she holds back a laugh, since it really was a silly thing, "... which one is the real Lord Deathwright?"

[Zeno Deathwright]

"He is Lord Mennius. He didn't take the Deathwright name," Zeno says with a shrug. "He may be an important head of the house but he's not part of the family in the same way I am. But his command over it is still tightly held. Even those that support me would still follow orders from the house, as I would. Even though I don't truly have to since ascending to Sith-hood, they are my family."

She tilts her head back slightly. "That sounds like makes for a complicated household, no?"

[Zeno Deathwright]

"What Sith family doesn't have complications," he says with a chuckle. "That's pretty much the defining feature of any family with multiple Sith."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

"... Honestly, I can't say I have much experience in that regard..." her smile falters as she sits up straight. "Not much left of my family, and the Torsins aren't Sith."

Except for Syl. And Raven... *sigh*

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Complicated is rarely pleasant," he says with a sympathetic smile that was a bit sad itself. "I have no doubt that eventually it will come to blows between my father and I."

[Shaisha Vreysk]

Shaisha gives his shoulder a comforting squeeze.

"... Will it happen soon, you think?"

[Zeno Deathwright]

"That's up to him," he replies with a shrug. "Depends on if or when he feels I'm a big enough threat to his power. But he has resources and allies of his own outside the Deathwrights. He wouldn't have been able to take control of them otherwise."

"Must be odd, to be worried about that with your own father."

Not that she didn't worry about a lot of things from her father too, but that he would eliminate her for being a threat to his power seemed so unlikely it was ridicullus.

"But I recall you said you were never particularly close, and he has probably thought many times of that day coming when you showed your strength with the Force."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"It is a bit odd. And it's a bit dangerous as well. He is a very powerful Sith. And when I face him, I'll likely do so alone. I think that we would expect at least that much respect from each other. Because master of Deathwright or not, if he were to simply assassinate me it would likely turn many in the house against him, potentially costing him control. But if it were a fight between men, I would make it clear to the house that it was a matter being resolved between Sith. I would not wish to have the house suffer over us sorting out a power struggle."

"... Do you want to face him over that, or would you rather strike out on your own to create your own name and legacy?" she asks, rather sincerely actually rather than just a passing fancy. "Many Sith, when becoming Lords, choose a new name for themselves."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"My family is part of who I am at my core. On the day I die it will be as a Deathwright. I would not betray the ideals of my house and leave them behind and I'd rather lose to my father without collateral damage to the family than to betray them and leave them behind. For me that would be tantamount to betraying the Empire, as we've served it for a thousand years. It is simply a part of who I am," he says with a smile.

She nods, acknowledging their different backgrounds. Had her mother's family still lived... or rather, had tragedy not befallen them, she suspected she would have become yet another exemplary Sith of the Vreysk, forever dedicated to furthering the glory and power of the house. Her mother was a Captain of the Emperor's Guard. Her uncle was a Darth before his end... and many other relatives served with distinction in the Empire.

And now she was the only one of a house long-since gone.

"I understand what you mean. I can't relate, but I understand it."

[Zeno Deathwright]

He smiles sweetly at her. "But then, there's also the possibility that it won't come for a long time or that if it does come sooner that I defeat him. Or the far less likely situation of us working out how to balance the power. If he simply offered a leadership role within the structure of the family I would likely accept it and continue to serve."

"It wouldn't be unheard of, really. Many Sith houses continue to expand their control and power with each generation... I know my mother's family did such. I think the families of Sinea, Jo'ren and Khalim do so too."

She cuddles up against him for some comfort. "The Deathwrights is a bit of a unique case I guess, having only become true Sith with your father's move to power there, and then you also joining the ranks of the Sith."
