A Plain-dealing Villain (MM5, Hala's quarters)

[Col. Hala Moraal]

Hala had two plates of food from the officer's mess on her card table waiting for her guest to arrive. She had dressed in her standard uniform, fatigues, a heavier lined version of the Imperial officer's uniform, and her class As hung in a closet, door slightly ajar. Her gloves were on, as they always were, but her cap lay on the side of the table. The rest of her quarters were clean and squared away, everything stowed and locked in its proper place.

Asra was surprised by the early summons, but she soon knocked at the door, dressed in her standard uniform as well. She wasn't entirely sure why a superior officer had summoned her (and some part of her mind always worried that she'd been discovered and this was it), but she wasn't going to get anyway grinding through questions and what ifs in her mind. Her hair was done in a neat braid, the singed parts trimmed or hidden.

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"Come in corporal," Hala answered.

"Please, join me for breakfast if you don't mind. Or if you've eaten already, I can have the other taken back to the mess."

The older woman gave her a pleasant smile and gestured to the chair across from her.

Asra enters the room, saluting the Colonel. "Thank you, sir," she says, sitting down once she relaxed. "I hadn't eaten, fortunately. I admit, sir, this comes as a bit of a surprise."

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"But hopefully not an unpleasant one. It's only from the mess hall, but it's better than field rations," she said with a chuckle.

[Luth Khalan]

"I spent the last year on Tatooine. Trust me, it's practically magical," she says with a chuckle. She sets about starting on breakfast, still suspicious, but willing to give it a few minutes of banter.

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"Tatooine has always sounded like such a dismal place. My most recent tour was on Balmorra. Less dust, at the very least," she said, picking up her utensil as she began to dig into her morning's rations.

[Luth Khalan]

"Sounds like six of one, half-dozen of another to me. Balmorra's pretty polluted from all the manufacturing, isn't it?" She asks. "Though Tatooine is pretty desolate."

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"It is...." she nodded, wiping her mouth with a napkin before she placed it on the table and leaned forward slightly.

"What is your role here, corporal? What is your current billet and assignment?"

[Luth Khalan]

"I am a member of the Sniper Corps, currently directly under the orders of Sylvain Torsin," she explains, folding her hands on the table. "I am involved with security, as well as aiding my lord in anything he might need of me within military standards and expectations."

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"Ah, yes. That would explain the source of the accurate supporting fire during the unfortunate incident with Lord Nemerosch, and thank you again for that...." she said, adjusting her napkin until it was aligned properly with her plate.

"I have an assignment for you, one which will not be an easy one I think and must be dealt with discretely. Kyr'ad Kelborn is shaping up to be the opposition leader to Corso Fett and he cannot be allowed to gather a significant force to his cause. To that end, I have been authorized to task personnel with their consent to extra duty. There will be extra combat pay, a notable amount, as well as a bonus if matters are handled discretely. Fifteen hundred, for completion of the task. Five hundred extra if you accomplish it without linking it back to the delegation here on Nar Shaddaa. Does this assignment interest you corporal?"

[Luth Khalan]

Asra took a long breath, in and out. It didn't really involve her specifically in either capacity. She sort of wanted to consult elsewhere before she accepted it, but... "Do you have any information on him?"

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"He's the leader of clan Kelborn, somewhat well spoken by reputation. Older, experienced, but probably feeling his age by now. Seems to like carousing with his men. I'm sure Intelligence has more if you wanted to ask the Watcher?" she offered, folding her hands in her lap.

[Luth Khalan]

She let out a small breath. There was the last person she wanted to get into a one on one conversation with. "I'll get it worked out. Time frame?"

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"As soon as possible, it is a time sensitive matter," she answered with an apologetic smile.

"Bonuses to be payed out on a confirmed kill, per standard."

[Luth Khalan]

"I'll work on it. If I make the kill, I'll let you know," she finally agreed.

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"Should I bring another fireteam into this or can you and your spotter handle it?" asked the colonel, far more politely than perhaps was needed.

[Luth Khalan]

"We can handle it," was the simple statement in return.

[Col. Hala Moraal]

Hala smiled, "That's the response that I prefer to hear Corporal Nakahti, thank you."

[Luth Khalan]

She just nods. "Yes, sir. May I take my leave, then? The sooner I start my research the better."

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"Of course corporal," she said, echoing the nod formally, "You are dismissed. Good hunting."

Asra gets up, salutes properly, and leaves to begin trying to find a way to get this guy out in the open and killed subtly.
