"Keep that gun trained on him," she told the captain as Layne moved to the indicated compatriot, searching him for this device that was mentioned... and other valuables. She had to remember to do the same with the others.

"An offer from whom?" she asked as she searched.

[Niall Organa]

Niall kept the gun trained on the leader, but shot a scowl at Layne. "Will you let the kids out of the damn box?" He said.

Wait, no, then the first thing they saw would be her. "Actually, let's trade. You watch him. He's more afraid of you, anyway." He would only wait a few seconds for Layne before going to open the box.

All of the thugs were carrying blaster pistols. There was also a device that could accurately register someone's potential with the Force.

And inside the crate, were two children. One was a little Trandoshan while the other was a human girl. Neither appeared to be incredibly happy to be in the situation.

[Niall Organa]

Niall gave them his best smile.

"Hey, hey, it's okay. Don't worry. You're safe now." With his free hand, he pulled out his datapad, making a call to the Republic, requesting a pickup.

[Layne Hoshin]

The device was hers now. As were a few blaster pistols. The children were spared a glance before she aimed her lightsaber at the leader's throat.

"I'll ask you again. Who made you the offer?"

[Nekoinu]

For all his charm, those children were still utterly terrified. The remaining thug was as well. "They were very specific of not telling us anything. And when they offer so many credits for a job like this, I don't ask questions!"

[Niall Organa]

"Descriptions, then." Niall called from where he knelt by the crate. "Their speeder, the people you just made the delivery to. The more you tell us, the happier she'll be!" He offered the man a cold smile before turning his attention back to the children, trying to calm them down.

[Nekoinu]

"Alright, alright. They looked military. Spec ops sort of people, you know? The truck, well, I think my the design is to purposely not stand out. Like a delivery van"

[Layne Hoshin]

"You're going to have to do better than that," she said, keeping her saber where it was. "Come on, you're a professional aren't you? You must remember more details than that."

[Nekoinu]

"Gas masks, all dark clothing, padded armor, military grade rifles! They're shady people!"

[Layne Hoshin]

"Hey," she said, head half-turning toward Niall. "You don't mind if I put this thing through his throat, right? Looks like he doesn't know anything else."

[Niall Organa]

"Ummm..." Niall couldn't tell if she was pretending or not. He hoped she was.

"Not in front of the children." He said finally. "Perhaps just take him a little farther that way. But I'm sure he'll remember something else, before that needs to happen. Right?" He gave the fellow another smile.

[Nekoinu]

"They kept this all secret! They just walked around Shadow Town and asked for the right people!" He shook in his boots. "Turning them down was not a good idea. That's how much they cared about this."

[Layne Hoshin]

"If you can't tell me anything else, you're no use to me anymore, are you?"

[Nekoinu]

"I don't know who hired us! They were secretive about it! They didn't even risk helping us because they would rather escape!"

[Niall Organa]

"It's possible Republic intelligence could get a bit more out of him." Niall said, his voice calm. "I'll take him into custody. We'll get what information we can."

[Layne Hoshin]

"Under different circumstances I'd refuse," she said, before flipping the lightsaber off and adopting a more relaxed stance. "But it's not as if this guy's important enough to argue about it."

[Nekoinu]

"Oh thank goodness. Take me anywhere, just please don't kill me."
