[Yslane Tssilla]

"More outgoing then most Jedi," Yslane replies, "A beautiful young noble woman...who knows that she is beautiful and noble....and isn't afraid to remind others. Of course....I have very little room to talk about typical Jedi."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He chuckled, "I was hoping you'd be somewhat typical since you and I have some commonality here and there. What makes you different then?"

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Oh philosophically I am much what you expect," Yslane shrugs, "But most of the Order is more...open about what they are, not many are drawn to the deceptive duties."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"A... Shadow is it? I believe that's the training you're referring to?" He asked.

"It is valuable work, regardless of everyone's preferences. Everyone may want to wield a laser sword, but espionage is an acquired taste."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Oh no argument there...but its still not common," Yslane winked, "What about you? I already gather you not typical for a Sith. But how about for an Imperial Noble?"

[Sylvain Torsin]

He smiled, "I'm more typical for a noble I suppose. Perhaps a bit on the facetious side at times for a noble. I value efficiency, promptness, decorum, and occasionally letting loose for a good time."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"A good time? Using lighting to torture small animals?" She gives Torsin one of her more mischievous grins, her tone clearly teasing in nature. "That's what all the vids say."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"I prefer small children myself." He replied with a smirk.

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane coughed, "Context...."

"Anyway....what did you actually do to keep yourself amused? Terrorize your parents in the manner all children do?"

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "To a normal and healthy degree. Mother was always quite upset when my sister and I would come home after a night of youthful exuberance. You should have seen her face after the run in with the nexu cats..."

He smiled a tad, "Much simpler times than these... simple and enjoyable."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"The lives of children usually are....even if they seem terrible at the time," Yslane smiled wistfully, "Even living in a communal dorm and spending most of my time studying, we still found time to get in trouble and play. I think the Master's understood that sometimes you just have to let children get it out of their system."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"A release of emotions is a path to the Dark Side." He chuckled.

"It looks like even Jedi children are rotten at heart."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"They are....but it has nothing to do with the Dark Side," Yslane chuckled, "I had to mind some of the younger students as part of my training on patience. A truly insidious exercise."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He chuckled, "But undoubtedly excellent preparation for the future Master Tssilla."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Right now I'm focusing on becoming Knight Tssilla," Her face reddened and she looked away sullenly, "What was your training like?"

[Sylvain Torsin]

"Arduous... Korriban is an unforgiving place. Teachers are even less forgiving... No one is there really to hold your hand. You must find your own way to accomplish your objectives. I relied on my ability to influence others and find allies that could work together for mutual benefit."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I suppose results are what matter then?" She frowned, "I'm surprised they didn't encourage the students to turn on each other."

[Sylvain Torsin]

"There are those who do. I even had a student turn a teacher against me and sent a hit squad after me and my friend." He chuckled.

"But we move on past these things... the woman who tried to kill me is now my associate."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Your fellow Apprentice under Baras?" Yslane asked.

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded.

[Yslane Tssilla]

"So...would it be too forward to ask about the story behind that?" Yslane prodded.

[Sylvain Torsin]

"About Layne and I?" He tilted his head. "I suppose not. She's a former slave... so she imagines enemies when there are none. A bit paranoid, and believes herself to be a victim... She lashes out violently to assert herself and make her presence felt."

He tilted his head, "During our time on Korriban I gained the opportunity to become Baras' apprentice. Shortly after she too was extended that 'honor' and apparently felt that it was her responsibility to assert some form of dominance over me... She arranged for my friend and I to be attacked, but her plot failed when I talked her conspirators out of making a rash decision."

He shrugged, "Baras does not seek for his apprentices to fight with each other, so I let the matter go... She's of no use to me, but Baras finds use for her dog-like devotion and rabid need to feel wanted and appreciated."

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane grimaced, "I....feel sorry for her when you put it like that, which I imagine would only infuriate someone like that." She nods, "You still hold disdain for her? And she for you? Even if your disagreements would not be...violent."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He shook his head, "I hold no disdain for her... but I know for what purposes Baras' uses her. I would prefer to have little to do with any of that... She is his 'sword'... a tool in his hand without the ability to break free on her own. One day she might... but it will be a violent break when that happens. Altogether it's a fairly high risk to deal with her, with little reward other than getting her to back off."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"So then if she is Bara's sword does that make you his pen?" Yslane mused, "And do you not foresee your own break, if it happens, being any less violent?"
