The comment doesn't pass Remmington. "Oh? You fought kill droids before?"

A short pause. "I think we are being watched by the way." He takes out his saber and the white core with red surrounding aura comes to life.

The nearest droid leaps into air and lands attacking Layne with its energized blade! The two engage in a vicious duel of blades but the Kill-Droid breaks through her defenses and strikes true and says in a cold metallic voice, “The Emperor had hopes for you, Layne. Your weakness will be revealed.”

Droids have Adversary 1 and Melee Defense 1 and start at Short range on the wide causeway overlooking the chasm. The attack hits Layne for 11 wounds Breach 1 and grants the next Droid a boost die. Layne managed to angle her lightsaber so that the incoming damage was slightly reduced, then with a quick jab of her free hand inserted a stimpack into her leg before proceeding to return the droid's greeting with some saberwork of her own.

"The fuck!?" She just managed to exclaim her confusion when the knee went into her gut followed by a saber almost piercing into her shoulder. Instead she just barely managed to deflect it, though the heat still seared her flesh. Again, she stimpacked herself in a follow up, and her lightsaber tried to assault the droid. Unfortunately it was too fast for her, and the knee to the gut had made her slower.

The second Kill-Droid continues the assault and says, “Your ignorance will not deny the End.”

Jo’ren parries multiples attacks before the Kill-Droid strikes his chin with a metallic elbow and then follows that with a powerful kick sending the large Sith sailing onto his back some distance away.

The next droid is unphased by Remmington and strikes with vicious stacks that ends with a combination of powerful slash followed by a kick to knock the Sith prone! The fourth droid seeing Remmington on the ground strikes at the prone Sith!

"Woaw," Layne said as she almost went flying off the ledge entirely. Things were starting to look a bit dire here.

Fortunately, Layne was pretty strong, and easily managed to lift herself up from the edge and back into a standing position again. At which point she reached her hand out toward the darksaber she had been separated from, willing the force to return it to her.

Layne saw Remmington fall just before she saw the metal face head for her face. Things were really not going well. The blow hurt like hell, and she was too dazed to focus on a counter-attack...

...so she didn't, instead ducking out the way of another blow and heading for Remmington. Fortunately she'd come equipped with a ton of stimpacks, one of which she pressed into Remmington's leg,

Meanwhile, she took a quick glance around the battlescene and closed her eyes. This was not a moment to think. This was a moment to let the force flow through her. Maybe she'd figure out a way out of this situation. Or maybe the force itself would respond to her plight and help her out somehow. Stranger things had happened.

Daz was never one to listen when he sensed trouble and he senses trouble. He had a training saber… well he stole the emitter but hey they should not have just left it sitting there, stupid Sith.

And maybe he didn’t stay where he should but there was something here… calling him.

Then he saw the fighting and it was… scary but super awesome and then Layne got stabbed again! So he charged in… it could not be that hard just do what Vera Hawke does… right?

Well the attacker he went for was way more nimble and he stumbles and falls backward hitting another droid and sending the second Droid sailing over the edge!

“Did you see that Layne!” Daz shouts.

OOC: Daz knocks Droid #2 over the side because he is insufferable.

"Goddamnit Daz! I told you to stay on the ship!"

And then she got charged by a killbot. But Layne had recovered, and in one smooth fluid motion both sidestepped the assault and disabled it. It seemed like maybe it could be salvaged? Maybe?

"Well, since you're here!" She yelled at Daz, "Come make yourself useful with this scrapheap!"
