It had been sometime since she had done this...and this time Lord Savas was'nt there to mentor her. Still...her effort where rewarded and her preparedness paid off.

She now held a shiny new silver lightsaber crystal in her hands.

“So what exactly are you doing?” Balos says entering her chamber.

“Nice kyber crystal, where did you find that?”

She raised a eyebrow, somewhat irritated by the intrusion

''Should'nt you knock before you barge in someone's room? Unless you are really trying to see padawans naked...''

[Balos Tyl]

“Nothing I have not seen before,” he says brushing that off.

“Plus I heard about your past, so I keep an extra eye on you Baesal. Not because I don’t trust you but because I think the Empire might come after you. They don’t forgive traitors easily, from my experiences.”

[Baesal Zyn]

She was'nt sure is she ought to be insulted by that comment

''The Empire would be a poor dictature if they allowed for easy dissent.''

She looked at her new crystal

''And this...I just made this...''

“That’s a new one, figured they all came from Illum,” he says impressed.

“Didn’t know you could actually make them, makes sense though I guess. Never seen a red one form naturally on Illum.”

''From what I know the vast majority of sith crystals are created using alchemy. The Red color comes from the hatred and anger they channel when making it.''

She fiddled with her crystal

''I'm also pretty sure other crystal exists beside from the one on Ilum. They are just rarer or more difficult to get''

“They know anger and hatred, I saw what they did to the Jedi on Dantooine. The galaxy will be better off when we wise up and realize they need to be eradicated to the last. But I am not making the calls but you were a Sith, you know how evil they can be. Maybe…” he frowns and pauses.

“It’s not your burden to carry, just bugs me that we try to play nice with unrepentant killers.”

''You saw Zeno's video I take it?'' She thought it would be safe to assume so

[Dapper Dog]

“Sick bastard, you know him?” Balos says warily.

[Baesal Zyn]

''Yes, I know him well. We were in the same class on Korriban'' she replied

[Balos Tyl]

"And you have an opinion on your old friend?" Balos asks.

[Baesal Zyn]

''He's brainwashed'' she said simply

''He has some sense of honor but...what he spoke of...that the Jedi where tyrants and all...he actually believes that.''

She started to do preliminary tests on the crystal

''That is the great tragedy of the Sith Empire. Those within are like anyone else...but their conception on the galaxy has been warped by centuries of propaganda and thought control. When ou add that and the devotion to the Dark Side...Well, nobody is born a monster but there are certainly created in mass''

“So do you think we can truly have peace with a people so thoroughly taught to hate the Jedi and the Republic?” he asks honestly.

[Baesal Zyn]

''That is not the question to ask'' she replied turning back her attention to him

''The question is: Can they have peace with people they have been taught to hate?''

[Balos Tyl]

“So you think it’s impossible,” he replies.

[Baesal Zyn]

''I think that in peace they will destroy themselves'' she replied

''The unity of the empire is based on their hate...any form of concession will be seen as weakness by others even if they are strategically sound.''

She shrugs

''That is the inherent weakness of basing your power on intense emotions''

Arali has heard some interesting rumors about one of the padawan who've come to Nar Shaddaa, so, once she's confident she's awake, she makes her way to her quarters and rings her bell, interested in thoughts on her project.

''Come in!'' the padawan calls to the door ringer as she placed her crystal into her shield

Arali enters, immediately noticing the togruta already has company.

"Good morning, Padawan Zyn. Knight Tyl," she greets with a bow to each in turn. She'd met both in passing, being enclave staff, and in her experience, padawan tend to remember her name, or at least recognize her after meeting her, as an older and more experienced Jedi, while knights seldom seem to notice her or care about her presence unless directly relevant.

"I had heard you have a talent for lightsaber construction, and wondered if you would be interested in talking shop, but if you are currently occupied, it is nothing pressing."

Now that picked Baesal's curiosity. She remembered the lilac twilek from her visits to Master Thun's gardens but never were introduced to her

"It should be allright, I am sure Knight Tyl won't mind waiting a little, what do you have in mind?"

"Oh, I would not impose so," Arali says, looking to the knight's reaction to see if he's growing irritated by the intrusion, but at the same time, she takes her blade from her back.

It's a longer weapon, clearly meant exclusively for two-hand use, with a hilt cased primarily in some sort of marble, rather than metal. Most notably, in two rings at either end of the lightsaber are what look like numerous drive cores, salvaged from a Jedi training drone. "I'd like your thoughts on a matter of... I suppose 'programming' is the correct word, though I'd prefer something hardwired over the vulnerability of installing a processor."

''Programming?'' she pondered smiling as wondered what might be

''First thing: the design is superb: you are quite talented.''

She sat back eyeing the piece still

''But what is your intent with it? Is it a drone saber?''

[Arali Zian]

"Thank you," Arali says as she finds a workspace to set her blade down and crack open the casing, revealing another unique feature of her weapon; dual inline kyber crystals, with a rig to either use both in line or to use only the primary crystal. The second crystal is tiny, clearly not enough to support its own saber, instead serving some other purpose. Wherever the smaller crystal came from, it clearly isn't Ilum, the makeup entirely different.

Both primary and secondary emitters have some sort of energy syphon set up, to charge a considerable and potent capacitor relay to power the numerous drive cores, currently wired to buttons in the hilt.

"It isn't a drone; that would certainly require a processor. What I've done is overclocked the drive cores, so that they can provide a momentary burst of strength or speed. To accelerate a thrust, provide force to a parry, reverse a stroke in ways muscle alone could not manage. The issues I'm running into are integrating the effect into the kata, and devising some form of control that does not compromise my grip, which has to be exceedingly sure once the drive cores kick on."

She listens well as she inspects the blade. She moved closer to get a better sniff of the internal components.
