[D6 LE] After Dancing... Dinner

[Alysele Cortess]

"True, I want to be that. I will be that. And potentially more." She shuffled in her seat a bit. "Will you be taking someone else's voice for your own here? Or do the talks not interest you?" She was in a needling mood today apparently.

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Words are not my strongest point. I can speak my mind honestly and I do, but when it comes to swaying others, all I can do is speak my mind and let them choose for themselves. So I will lend my support to those that have aligned interests but otherwise you probably shouldn't expect to hear me speaking up during talks."

[Alysele Cortess]

"Too bad, I was looking forward to it." She smiled teasingly... she was certainly more bold than last time. "So... your actions will speak instead. That sounds intriguing. I assume no matter how much I try and ask I won't get more details."

She glanced towards the server.... it seems that their drinks will be coming up now.

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Depends on what you ask, but I imagine the things you really want to know you probably won't get answers for. It tends to be better to not share things that shouldn't be shared," he says with a chuckle.

[Alysele Cortess]

Alysele chuckled as well. "Can't blame a girl for trying now, can you?"

She put her hands on the table for now, her eyes focusing on his. "What kind of dangerous people? You mentioned them earlier."

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Pirate queens mostly," he says. "They tend to wield significant power. And don't take kindly to being pissed off."

[Alysele Cortess]

"Multiple pirate queens? Are you collecting them now?" She asked with curiosity in her voice.

[Zeno Deathwright]

"No, just the one. But I wouldn't mind having a collection. It would certainly be an interesting thing to collect." He takes a sip from his recently arrived drink.

[Alysele Cortess]

"You might need to travel a bit. I think pirate queens in general are a bit territorial. Are you a pirate king now perhaps?" She first looked at the drink. "It's... dark brown. Is that bad or good?"

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Oh, I'm not a pirate king. I believe neither of us is the other's types. Just trying to make sure she doesn't want to blow me out of the sky. I may be a skilled pilot, but numbers matter," he admits with a shrug.

[Alysele Cortess]

"That is indeed a healthy outlook. She likes blowing people up, or is it more of a professional interest?" Her voice had some humor in it.

"Have you been doing much traveling around the moon lately?"

[Zeno Deathwright]

"I think she doesn't mind mixing business with pleasure, blowing people up for both fun and profit," he replies with a chuckle. "And I can't blame her. Fireworks can be fun. I've been a few places on the moon, but most of what I do around the city tends to be duty related."

[Alysele Cortess]

"Boys and their explosions. I hope at least you can appreciate a nice, drawn out duel as well?" She raised an eyebrow at hm in curiosity.

"So, nothing for fun? Only duty?"

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Some fun, but it's duty that sends me to the most interesting places. And duels are not the only thing I like to make long and drawn out," he says with a smirk. "Though I can't imagine a Jedi would be too knowledgeable about more passionate pastimes. That would be against the code no?"

[Alysele Cortess]

"There is no passion, only serenity." Droned Alysele.

"Oh? Drawn out political arguments, too?" She was obviously teasing, playing the innocent.

[Zeno Deathwright]

"Oh, deflection. A bit embarrassed by that topic?" he teases right back.

[Alysele Cortess]

"Why would I be? You seem to be familiar with the code, I didn't think any elaboration is necessary." She leaned back, and took a sip.... and almost spat it out. "Wow. Strong stuff."

[Zeno Deathwright]

He chuckles at her reaction. Compared to the dark side infused hearts-blood that sent him into convulsions earlier this really wasn't that bad.

"So much deflection. You must be extremely embarrassed by that topic. Do the Jedi teach their own how everything works? What goes where and all that? Or do they teach the code and trust the padawans not to experiment with each other?"

[Alysele Cortess]

"Do I look embarrassed dear Zeno? Perhaps you are simply projecting. Unsure what to do with a Jedi, are you?" She smirked at him, a smile of dubious sincerity.

"I assume the Sith are left to their own devices to learn how everything works? Or you have access to the holonet perhaps?"

[Zeno Deathwright]

"I grew up in a military noble house, basically a unit itself. I was learning about that stuff well before my Sith training. And the Sith couldn't care less what we do with our personal time. The academy is full of hormonal teenagers with a lot of pent up stress to release," he says with a laugh, sipping again.

"I'm just curious what that's like among the Jedi, where there's not supposed to be passion or attachments."

The time continuum swallows this errant time paradox.
