[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane sat in meditation awaiting the arrival of her Master. Yesterday had been a something of a disaster and it had been in part her fault.

[Thy Yulani]

Thy arrives not looking much better emotionally and says while sitting, "Mornings are for monkey-lizards and jerks."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I usually enjoy the mornings, Master Yulani," Yslane manages a weak smile, "Well it seems I walked us right into a Sith trap yesterday."

[Thy Yulani]

"It happens, Sith ambush us... we ambush them, it's sort of an bad joke now," she says with a shrug.

"Sith don't play fair, so I am not surprised."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Still I suspected something like this and fell for it anyway," She sighed, "Lesson learned I suppose....even if it still stings. If we had gone in....."

"Well I suppose this proves Magpie never had any intention of aiding us....might want to let SIS know any information from her is suspect."

[Thy Yulani]

"We were not the target, just collateral damage I guess?" she says. "Probably to make it look like we were the threat and she was the one behind it. I don't know, it's not really surprising."

"Balos and I had to face some Sith on Nal Hutta, saved a Republic agent though, but it was weird, no ranting and raving... they were calm and focused... or they were until they started messing with Balos head. No matter how they appear they are still Sith."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I try to take the Sith individually." Yslane adjusted her seated position, from kneeling to cross-legged, "I mean some of the ones I have talked to seem reasonable enough. But I know their philosophical outlook is one of cruelty and domination. And backstabbing."

"What are your thoughts on the matter?"

[Thy Yulani]

"On the Sith or the ambush?" she asks curiously.

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Well...I meant the Sith, but the ambush would be good too...." Yslane grimaces, "So...umm both?"

[Thy Yulani]

"The ambush is a learning experience for both of us," she says honestly.

"As for the Sith, they are the enemy. Maybe if they decide that peace is a worthwhile venture then that will change and individuals will rise that will be less... terrible but they are Sith. Noble or not, we have to be prepared to do what we must to defend the Republic. Maybe one day that might change... maybe not," she says honestly.

"Maybe endless war is the only existence we can have with the Sith."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I suppose I shall continue to judge them as individuals and remain wary of the ideas behind their actions," Yslane shrugs, "I have spoken fairly extensively with Sylvain Torsin....who seemed to be aware of Magpie. Though he was being coy with that information. Still I hope for peace...even if in the back of my mind I know the Sith will never have true peace. But better they devour their own then us."

"Did Baesal tell you what was in the data we pulled yesterday morning?"

[Thy Yulani]

"Yeah I have met him... briefly, and then again yesterday. He was one of the Sith trying to kidnap the Republic agent. Clever kid, though it was weird how he looks at me, like he knows me... anyway, it is done. I got an idea of the info, it was worth a second look but well," she says trailing off.

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Wait what?" Yslane shook her head, "He was trying to kidnap a Republic agent?"

[Thy Yulani]

"Yep," she says.

"Hopefully the same guy, smiles a lot talks like he knows what is good for everyone? I tried to avoid fighting him but he wouldn't give up the agent without a fight."

[Yslane Tssilla]

Yslane frowned, "And you left me behind Thy? I have spoken to him before...maybe I could have convinced him?"

[Thy Yulani]

"I had no idea he would be there until he was," she replies.

"He might be a friend... maybe, but he is still Sith. He is still opposed to everything the Jedi are, he just might be nicer about it. Trust me," she says with a heavy sigh.

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Still....you left me behind on your mission. I would have helped if you ask." Yslane sighs, "...I may only still be a Padawan but I could have helped."

[Thy Yulani]

“Well if you want to help me out then I got another mission we can do. It’s a dangerous one… probably, you in?” she asks.

“Just following a hunch on a totally unrelated matter.”

Yslane was overjoyed at the offer...but paused and then frowned, "I....need some time to reflect on yesterday's failure. I worry that my mind will not be centered enough to help you, or worse cause problems."

"Well tell me about your thoughts," she asks.

[Yslane Tssilla]

"....I'm upset," Yslane grimaced, "About putting everyone in danger. About not listening to my instincts. This is my first time away from the Temple on Courscant and the first real thing the Council trusts me with I screw up. If the Sith just use this as leverage for better terms then we will be lucky."

[Thy Yulani]

“Yeah, well you had a good idea and I supported it so I can’t fault you. Stopping Magpie and the Sith means dealing with their tricks and that is something they are really good at… which always… bothers me,” she says honestly.

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Being tricked?" Yslane smiled, "Or that they Sith are so good at dirty tricks?"

[Thy Yulani]

“I guess both; it just means you can never fully trust them even if you think you know them. Especially if you know them,” she says with a sour tone.

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I suppose so." Yslane concedes with a frown, "It does make peace more difficult."
