Acklay Hunting

Hello!

I'm going hunting. If anyone wishes to assist me in a live capture of an acklay, I won't refuse the help. But, there will likely be no payment.

I am prepared to hunt it by myself, but could use some advice in gearing up for it. I'm going through the core books and putting together a wish list of items, but my unfamiliarity with the system overall means I'm likely to overlook a few things.

So, any advice would be appreciated.

I would love to help, but Shaisha is already involved in 2 off-planet missions so I don't think I'll have the time.

I suggest stun grenades though.

And sadly Aly is gonna be out of fights for the next few days, so not joining

It's the only viable option for appeasing a crime lord and ending a dangling plot from the beginning of the game.

I have no idea. I'm still not sure how this is going to work and I need to see what gear I can get.

I am interested... though it seems like I may have already signed up for hunting down an assassin... and a rogue scientist before that. My hunting day seems to be pretty booked. >.>

One of the Jedi has a stun saber, Arali I think. Then there are shock Lances if you want melee weapons, a few heavy stun rifles if you can splurge the 1550 or so for them, or just a blaster rifle with a stun setting and autofirw

Day 7 or Day 8. It will depend on what gear I can get and a few other things.

As it"s likely a bad idea to hunt it during a violent storm. I'll likely do this in the morning of Day 8.

Galen will quietly put the word out in Day 7. Aphr, Zane and Xereau would be told and asked to look for anyone interested in helping. He'll probably bring it up with anyone else he has threads with, as well.

Current plan is for the morning of D8.

I have a Chem Lure and two amped up Electro Snares. If I'm really lucky, that will do it. At the least, the snares will hopefully soften it up.

I've got a stun grenade on hand and the raw agility to hopefully make it work. My sense will also be upgraded then too, so I'll also be able to get upgrades to either attack or defense, depending.

*considers the benefits of getting the equivalent of two ranks in combat skills he has no ranks in like gunnery and ranged*

I have my rifle for range. The problem with stun weaponry and the Electro Snares is its soak. Drugging it would be more effective, but probably harder to use.

I also have a rifle if we are looking to start off with an ambush. But if we're looking to take it back alive we're going to not want to kill it I imagine. Lightsabers aren't to good at leaving things in tact when you swing at them.
