"Sometimes it takes more then just a connection." He smiled faintly. "I'm the type of man that needs some work after all."

"Something tells me she's not the type to want to put in that kind of time. A bit afraid of being burned I figure."

"More work than traipsing through the chemical wastes of Nal Hutta, I take it?" she said, giving him a wry smile.

"I definitely know how to show someone a good time.... Maybe today would have gone better if I'd just asked you to take me shopping like you offered."

"Just a tad more." He said, allowing a short pause before adding. "Well maybe more then a tad."

"I'm sure you do Hala, you may be a iot older now, but it wasn't a lie when I said you were an attractive woman." He smiled slightly. "It might of been nice to see you all dolled up for a night out n the town."

Her smile flickered with a mix of emotions but she finally nodded.

"Sure... give me a heads up if you'd like to do something other than work or pointing a blaster at me and I'd love to. The heads up will let me nip out and pick up something that isn't simply the height of Imperial military chic," she said, laughing again and sighing.

She pulled out a small credit stick and shuffled things around in her hand so she could extend it in her left.

"Here, I can give you your cut now if you like?" she offered, the tip wavering slightly in the air between them.

"We'll have to see about that Hala, it might be nice, but such things can damage a professional relationship. Perhaps dinner or something could be arranged though." She definitely didn't seem the type for dancing.

he watched her take out the credit stick and begin shuffling things around. "I don't mind waiting for my cut you know. I'm not the type of man to want to leave a Lady without her nest egg after all. Added to that I can trust you to transfer things my way after the drop-off. right?"

"This is a professional relationship then?" she asked, her face and voice almost remaining unchanged.

"I find you intriguing, and confusing.... but of course. Send me the routing number for your account and I'll make sure you get paid. And whatever comes anything she had in there, too."

"Honestly I'm not quite sure, it has a lot of the ear marks of one though." He turned his eyes towards the older woman. "What would you like it to be?"

"I'm a confusing man sometimes, I'll take that intriguing a a complement though." Taking out his black comm he began to send information her way. It wasn't his main account of course, but he kept more then one for various reasons. "I appreciate it, not sure if we will get much from that other stuff, but we'll see."

"I'm not sure... I really don't know. I think trying to start dating in a concerted fashion would probably be difficult, but I'd certainly like to at least get to know you better. I feel like you still view me by my uniform. It's one thing that would make a relationship hard though. I don't know where I'm going to wind up after this, suppose it depends a lot on how it goes. But I could see that being a hard ask for you, no?" she said, picking up her pad and shaking it slightly to signal she'd received it.

Dating was not honestly the word he thought he would be hearing from her and he pondered it for a moment. "You're right when you say I view you by your uniform. Don't take that as any disrespect, I've known more then a few soldiers in my life though, and for those in for the long haul the uniform is a lot of who they are."

"You have given me something to think about though, and if have to say I wouldn't mind chatting with you again. Somewhere with a lot less mud and sludge of course."

"It-" she started before she stopped and bit the side of her lip.

"It is, and it isn't. And yes, somewhere nicer. I definitely know how to show a guy a good time..." she said with a hesitant chuckle.

"I'll let you pick the place then." He replied casually. She had said she knew how to show a man a good time, and more then once.

It wasn't something he'd typically offer, but in this case why not?

She gave him a slightly shocked look after her attempt at sarcasm.

"Um.... What sort of places do you like? Or should I just find some place?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

He chuckled lightly. "You're the one that knows how to show a man a good time." He said in a playful tone. "But I won't leave you completely out of the loop. Nothing to expensive dinner wise, high class dining is lost on me. I also enjoy greens a bit more then meats, the sources of the second can be questionable here. If you prefer something besides dinner though, I enjoy dancing, and gambling, as well as good cocktails."

He looked at her and smiled. "Does that give you some ideas?"

"It... does... I think," she said, still a bit taken off guard.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Well, it's not something you have to decide on right now, and if you want more advice you just need to ask." He leaned back looking at the ceiling of the cave. "I'm kinda looking forward to finding out what you'll pick though."

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"Worst comes to worst, at least it's hopefully something that I'll like," she laughed, catching some of her outward manner back.

"That's the beginning of any good date." Z replied with a smile. "Or that's at least what I've always thought." He looked her in the eye. "If you're not enjoying yourself, there is no point after all. right?"

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"I suppose if you wanted to sleep your way to the top of the Imperial military, you wouldn't have to enjoy the date, but seeing as how I don't think you mean to enlist any time soon then that's the only reason I could think of for you to endure a date you weren't enjoying," she teased back.

"We're to sleeping together already then?" He asked his tone teasing. "Honestly though, I'm sure I'll have a wonderful time, and it will give you a chance to think of things other then military matters."

"That's nice from time to time, isn't it?"
