Still in the Gardens (MM D7)

[Nekoinu]

"It would appear you value them all equally then, assuming they are in the Order. Or perhaps you find your identity ingrained in the Jedi Order."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Well the Order is all I remember. Apart from a few old memories of my parents." She sighed, "I was five when the Order took me in, most of my life has been the Jedi."

[Nekoinu]

The Miraluka nodded. "I see. Perhaps the interpretation is that you are more than just a Jedi. If the Order were to collapse then you would have to move forward rather than mourn it."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"My thoughts were similar.... Though I feel it might be to remind me the Order is ultimately to serve the people even if it costs us greatly."

[Nekoinu]

Master Mersl smiled softly. "See? You are have quite the capability for philosophy. You may falter, you may fail, but that does not mean that you cannot move forward and do what is right in the future."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"What of the beast?" Yslane asked, "The one I fought did not seem exceptionally strong or agile, but it predicted all my movements. Until I shut myself off from the Force."

[Nekoinu]

"Interesting. Have you read about beasts, monstrosities that hunt Force users? Perhaps that is what you encountered in your vision."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I vaguely recall such creatures...it's where I got the idea. But I wonder if there was deeper meaning. A warning that the over reliance on the Force was dangerous?" She frowned, "I know the Dark can be addicting, but the Light?"

[Nekoinu]

"Ah. That is an understandable interpretation." She gave a solemn smile. "That would be more sensible for me. However, perhaps it is a warning for you to not follow the same path."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"What do you think it means Master Mersl?" Yslane shifted her eyes from the gardens to the Jedi Master.

[Nekoinu]

"You said it yourself. You cannot overly rely on the Force in your life. I spend much of my time in meditation. However, that can result in much passing me by."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I see," Yslane allowed herself a rye smile, "Like say forgetting that sometimes people get upset when being forced into meditation without prior consent." Her normally teasing nature made a brief appearance.

"The fire....I remember being to frightened to make the leap, even though I thought I could make it." Her tone goes back to contemplative, "I would have failed there if in the moment of pain and impending death that overwhelmed me...clarity had crashed down on me. It was a sudden realization that there was no fire, no chasm, no fear. And I walked across the open air as easily as walking across this garden."

[Nekoinu]

Lyshea nodded. "That is a good example. My detachment from everyday life led me to making that decision."

She then smiled. "Your example is inline with many others I have heard before."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"In truth I am shocked how few social faux pas I have made....this is my longest outside of the Temple." Yslane flushes, "...perhaps that is why it didn't bother me as much as the other Padawan."

"I suppose it is a universal lesson. That only in calm can one overcome." She smiles then her expression grows serious, "I remember the walk from the beast as well, the jungle was wild and confusing...but I saw it as the streets of Courscant and it made an odd sense. Probably not the most efficient of solutions...."

"Finally the first vision. I saw war and ravage. And a shadowy being at the center of it....I could never see it, but I don't think it was suppose to be a person. More an embodiment of the callousness and cruelty being inflicted on those caught in the middle of the war."

[Nekoinu]

"If we make haste in our decisions then we open ourselves to more errors. However, to dally too long is a folly in itself. To balance the two is a momentous challenge Yslane, one that I have not mastered myself."

She nodded. "The vision does not have to pertain to any individual. It can be concepts. After all, it is simply something pertinent to you."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"That's the nature of everything isn't it?" Yslane responds with a bemused grin, "Trying to balance two extremes while continuing to move forward."

"I wonder if my own vision wasn't a bit more...metaphysical then most of the others." Her face flushes with embarrassment, "....I suppose it is a sign that I lack experience outside of the Temple and a few trips on Courscant."

[Nekoinu]

"There is no shame in that. The Force often guides us to work past such weaknesses." Master Mersl bowed her head. "It would appear you, overall, did not suffer much from the journey."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Only in completion does it seem so Master," Yslane's smile turned more wry, "I'd probably feel much different in the midst of it all."

"Have you had similar visions? In the past."

[Nekoinu]

"Of course. When I was younger, my problems could be considered similar to yours. I was cloistered and did not have much experience with different people. I suppose that is still true, to a certain extent. But anyhow, most of my visions pertained to self-doubt."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"I can understand the self-doubt. I struggled with that alot as child." She chuckled, "Ah... still do sometimes as was evident earlier. How did you overcome your feelings?"

"I was happy to be shut away at first. The first indications of my sensitivity to the Force was feeling the emotions of others. But I had no control. It was terrifying for a child."

[Nekoinu]

"I came to recognize that my failures are what they are and no more. They do not dictate who I am." A pause. "But that does not mean I do not divert back to my prior ways. It is an ongoing process."

[Yslane Tssilla]

"Easier said then done Master..." Yslane grimaces, "But, I'll try to remember your words as I go over my own failures today. I still have much to learn."
