Following a Feeling (D7 LM)

[Aphr Ahaya]

Aphr turned as lightning flashed. She hadn't paid attention to the weather, and just nodded at the suggestion. "Good idea, avoiding this incoming storm might be wise. Please, lead on Kaya."

[Zanebry Varliss]

Zane didn't like this. Not at all, this talk about the force especially as it hovered around the dark side on things.

Then there was Apge avoiding his question. Still he would follow the pair to where ever they were going.

[Dapper Dog]

Kaya guides the duo through the swamp to a small cottage built on stilts. She climbs up a ladder into the modern structure and says, “This should keep us safe from the storm. Quickly inside.”

The interior is cozy with a single circular room, some simple furniture and pillows for sitting.

[Aphr Ahaya]

Aphr had followed, but she wasn't focusing as much on Kaya and Zane, but instead on where her feeling was tugging her to. She paused at the ladder, focusing on the direction for a few moments before climbing up.

[Dapper Dog]

She could feel this was meant to be.

[Zanebry Varliss]

Z would be the last to enter, at least out of the pair. He was a bit on edge though, and kept a cautious eye of the surroundings.

[Aphr Ahaya]

Aphr climbed up, thoughtfully.

So is this woman then the one I'm being pulled to? Or her home?

[Dapper Dog]

Kaya heads over to a counter and begins preparing some kind of tea and says, “Please make yourselves at home. I was not expecting company but I have some tea and filtered water.”

“I am curious as to your purpose here.”

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Thank you forcthe hospitality but I'm fine." Would be Z's response to the offered tea as he took a spot leaning against the wall.

When people didn't answer you it usually meant yes, and his eyes were on Aphr more then anything.

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I thank you for the offer, but I'll be ok. Hopefully the storm won't keep us in your way too long."

Aphr sighed, taking a moment before speaking again.

"My purpose is to understand where I am drawn to. I've had a feeling that has pulled me in this direction for a while, and finally I decided to location where I am drawn to. I am learning about the force still, I have only known my connection to the force a short while, but I've learnt that if there's something in the force that is pulling me somewhere, it's best to see where it takes you. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, but being blind and ignoring it doesn't make it go away. Now...it's drawing me here. I don't know if here is your home, this area...or even if it's you. I don't know who or what I'm drawn to, but I want to know who or what it is, and why it or they are pulling me to them."

[Dapper Dog]

“I think I can help you,” Kaya says. “The Force has guided you here and perhaps I am meant to play a role as guide.”

[Aphr Ahaya]

"Really?" Aphr's eyes widened "if you could, that would be wonderful."

She paused a moment, remembering something.

"Are you a Jedi?"

[Dapper Dog]

“I am a Black Witch, my order was once Jedi but we have gone our own way, we meld the traditions of the ancient peoples of Nal Hutta with that of the Jedi… we consider them allies and are enemies of the Sith.”

She takes a seat and says, “I have prepared a tea that should aid in your journey.”

[Zanebry Varliss]

Well black witch didn't sound good, but if they were a enemy if the sith... Well maybe they could help.

[Aphr Ahaya]

Aphr now looked wary.

"What's in the tea? Forgive me for questioning, but after an incident a few days ago where a Jedi master drugged lunch guests including myself I'm a little wary."

[Dapper Dog]

"It is made from a special tonic, it will open your mind to the flows of the force here on Nal Hutta," she offers honestly.

[Aphr Ahaya]

Aphr considered it, then decided to sit. "Thank you for telling me, and my apology for the question." She gave Zane a small smile, knowing he likely wasn't too comfortable, but she needed to know this.

Once the tea was prepared, she took a sip.

[Zanebry Varliss]

Aphr was right, Z wasn't comfortable, but while he might advise her decisions he wasn't going to make them for her. Remaining where he was against the wall, he observed the process, he didn't know what was going to happen here, and was as much cautious as interested.

[Dapper Dog]

Kaya says, “The visions can be intense… prepare yourself.”

Whehn the drink is finished she feels a tingle on her lips and then… she feels like she is in a dream, but still awake. Everything moves slowly she is in the same place but can see phantoms at the edge of her vision and then she hears a voice.

“You heard my call, little one… for so long I have been waiting and now you are here. I have seen you though I have been long returned to the Force, I am Vayana Ahaya, Jedi Master. I am your blood, and you are mine,” she says with a clear smile.

[Aphr Ahaya]

Aphr sat in stunned silence for a few moments. Jedi...master? She struggled to believe it. "Is this...some trick of the tea? I remember my parents saying my grandmother was an evil witch...Ah, forgive me. It's good to meet you, I'm just a little..." she paused again "why were you calling me here?"

Why me?

[Dapper Dog]

“The Force has brought us together across time and space, there is evil in our past and future but hopefully that will not be your fate. I can feel that confluence of darkness and light and you stand upon some hard choices… but it is never too late to find the path of the Light and aid the galaxy instead of damning it,” she replies seriously.

“Our line has always been torn between the Light and Dark… perhaps that is our destiny. I understand if you overwhelmed, I am sure you have many questions and concerns.”

[Aphr Ahaya]

"I think many may be an understatement" Aphr said honestly, rubbing her head. Or at least she thought she was "why me? Moyr has always been stronger, surely she would be a better one to..to guide? I'm...I barely know where I'm going with all of this, except trying to look out for her."

[Dapper Dog]

“Moyr… she has chosen a path of darkness. I doubt I could reach her; she has twisted herself into everything I fight against. She could not hear me even if I screamed. You are greater than you think and I know how it feels to look out for a sibling,” she replies calmly.

“She cares about you, but she cares for her power more and I am concerned she will guide you down her path down the same path that has brought so much suffering to the galaxy.”

[Aphr Ahaya]

Aphr sighed. "She needs help though. I...I don't want her to face that woman alone. If I can just give her time to be prepared....What should I do?"

She shook her head. At least she thinks she does, this dream stuff is strange.

"I don't have the anger and hate that she does, but I care too much for her. She was taken away from me once, I can't lose her again."

[Dapper Dog]

"Sith live for conflict, you cannot protect her from the very essence of her being," her ancestor replies.
