Once more, Niall led a squad of Republic troopers through maneuvers. The events of yesterday showed that they would need to be ready for anything, at any time. And so, Niall pushed the troops harder and harder, making them perform the drills again and again.

Jedi Master Garrick Lorne stomped forward to the training grounds. He headed straight for Niall and gave him a salute. "Captain Organa, are your soldiers ready for deployment? I seek to put an end to the incidents on this moon." His tone was far less amicable before. Now he was strictly business, imposing his will for command.

[Niall Organa]

Niall only blinked in surprise for a moment. "Sir, they are." He returned the salute sharply. He stood straight and stiff, holding back the desire to ask any number of questions.

[Nekoinu]

"Good." He looked to the troops and then back to Niall. "What are their capabilities? Specialities? Weaknesses?"

[Niall Organa]

Niall looked over to them. "The primary duty that we expected to attend to here is the protection of diplomatic personnel. They are skilled at spotting threats, and are dedicated. More of them are skilled with light weapons than heavy weapons."

He cleared his throat. "Sir, I could also assist you directly, if you wish."

[Nekoinu]

"I see." He nodded. "Then what are your full capabilities, Captain? How would I best deploy your strengths?"

[Niall Organa]

"Leading a team." Niall said. "I can keep my squadmates going harder, and longer. And I've worked with Jedi before, as it happens. I'm also a good shot with my pistol."

He cleared his throat again. "If violence isn't required, I'm a practiced negotiator. I've spoken on behalf of the Republic here more than once."

[Nekoinu]

"I am certain I will have a use for your repertoire of skills." He turned to the soldiers and gazed upon their drills. "How are their breaching skills?"

[Niall Organa]

"Fair." Niall said. "But it's not their focus. Security and counter-terrorism is more their line." He frowned thoughtfully. "Colonel Garza may have troops better suited to that. Or we have a few specialists among the Jedi, actually. Yslane Tssila or Baesal Zin."

[Nekoinu]

At the mention of those names, Garrick Lorne signaled for the captain to follow him out of earshot of the rest of the soldiers. Afterwards, he shook his head. "Is your recommendation of those based on whatever you call that safehouse incident?"

[Niall Organa]

Niall followed, his expression remaining neutral at the question. "No, sir. Or, not in the case of Yslane. She's assisted in a number of other matters, very competently."

"Baesal..." Niall cleared his throat. "I wish she'd analyzed the data sooner, but she did get it done. And she is skilled at technological intrusion."

His chin tilted upwards. "Besides, I made the decision to mobilize. I accept full responsibility for the outcome."

[Nekoinu]

"I have heard of the Togruta's technical capabilities. How else has Yslane aided you, Captain?"

Master Lorne nodded. "Very well. Then we are fortunate that you will not be in lead command for any joint operations."

[Niall Organa]

"Yslane excels at information gathering. She helped me track down a lead on the child kidnapping case. We're still following up on it."

"Yes, sir." While his expression didn't change, he did speak just a bit more stiffly. "I assure you, I'll do better in the future."

[Nekoinu]

"Ah. I have not heard a full report with someone involved with the case. If you could, Captain?" he requested. At the very least, he was polite with that line of conversation.

Garrick took a breath to ease himself. "Yes. I imagine it was a lesson for you."

[Niall Organa]

"Yes, sir." Niall agreed, still a little stiff.

"The children have been being delivered to a freighter owned by Czerka. I have someone checking it out now. Officer Cole Ormont. He knows medicine, and biotech, which I felt would make him a good fit." Niall hesitated a moment. "He's not the best soldier, but he is a good person."

[Nekoinu]

"Czerka. I am not surprised in the least." He looked to the soldiers and then back at Niall. "What is the current plan after you assess the freighter?"

[Niall Organa]

"I don't want to reason in advance of all of my evidence, sir." Niall said. "After all, that's what led to the incident yesterday." He said dryly.

"But one way or another, I do intend to put a stop to the kidnappings."

[Nekoinu]

"Understandable, Captain. I would like a full report when Petty Officer Ormont delivers you more information. If you are in need of help, I will be available."

[Niall Organa]

"Yes, sir." Niall said. "And if there's anything you need my assistance, please let me know."
